We had the most incredible stay at Mayen Estate! From the moment we arrived, Ross and Valerie made us feel so welcome. Ross was always helpful, polite, and attentive to every detail, ensuring we had everything we needed. Their hospitality truly made the experience unforgettable. I honestly don’t think I will ever forget the house and the stay at Mayen estate. The estate itself is beyond magical. Even in the depths of winter, when outdoor activities were limited, the sheer beauty and charm of the place were more than enough. The highlight for us was the hot tub—it was such a treat to relax in after a chilly day, adding a perfect touch of luxury to our stay. Every moment spent here felt like a dream. If you’re looking for a serene, magnificent escape where you’ll be cared for by amazing hosts, Mayen Estate is the place to be. We can’t recommend it enough and look forward to returning someday!

The best Airbnb we have ever stayed in. Beautiful location, cozy, relaxing and peaceful. Property had everything we needed. Stunning views from the Hot Tub. Host recommend booking a meal at local hotel and it was fantastic. Would highly recommend Brae Cottage.

Beautiful setting and high standard of cleanliness. House finished to a great standard and had everything we needed. Celebrated my 40th (12 of us) and it was perfect. Louise left a personalised note with a few bottles of fizz for us which I thought was lovely. Would recommend.

My husband and I and our 20 year old daughter had a wonderful stay at Butler Cottage. The estate grounds are amazing with a mix of woodland and farm fields scattered over the hills. We enjoyed daily walks done and along the river. If your animal lovers like we are it was extra special. The Highland cows and sheep add beauty to the scenery, but the deer, hares, pheasants and other birds of prey really add the wow factor. The cottage is full of charm with an old world feel. It’s been very smartly renovated and decorated and is in great condition. We loved the farmhouse style kitchen which is open to a comfortable living room with high ceilings. The built in beds are beautifully done and although on the small side we enjoyed the authentic touch. The wood stoves on each end of the cottage work well to add extra warmth in the evenings. Ross was a gracious host. The place was with fresh flowers and a basket of fresh goods from the farm. He even had the fire started for the hot tub.

Our extended family have just had the pleasure of staying here for a long weekend. It provided a peaceful location for us all to unwind without any disturbance. The property was lovely and it is nice to see hosts invest in their property. Having stayed in many Airbnb's around the world, they are often lacking basic implements or only buying cheap crockery. If you are after a relaxing get away for your family then place this location on your wish list.

Bailies cottage is situated amongst the picturesque scenery of the Mayen estate , a beautiful tranquil place to stay within the Deveron Valley close to stunning beaches . Our stay was made special by our host Ross who was amazing and very thoughtful throughout ,with attention to detail, clear communication and his friendly manner at all times ….. what a gem , thank you!!! We will definitely be returning .

As before, the farmhouse was clean, warm and a great place to come back to after a day on the river. Kitchen small but perfectly formed and well stocked with all the necessaries. A thoroughly enjoyable stay.

Really enjoyed our stay, lovely and peaceful. So close to the river which is really pleasent to stroll along. Daily visits from guinea fowl added an extra bonus. Overall everything was clean but a bit more attention to detail was needed. Beds really comfy and bedrooms cosy and relaxing.

Crowmallie cottage was absolutely beautiful! It is set in the most beautiful peaceful location, hidden amongst stunning trees that looked to be 100’s of years old. When we arrived there was a lovely hand written note from Sue and Jim, such a nice touch. The cottage was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. It had everything you needed and more! Sue and Jim messaged to make sure we had settled in and then popped over the next day to introduce themselves and check if we needed anything. Such a nice place, we will definitely be back! Lovely cosy home from home. Comfortable beds, warm under floor heating, big living room, lovely views.

Haddie Cottage is hands-down the best place to stay in Cruden Bay. Beach access within feet of the cottage. It was very cold when we were there, but the gas stove kept us warm and cozy. Beds are comfortable, and the bathroom was very clean. Lots of storage for clothes. I love to cook, and the kitchen was fully equipped. The Kilmarnock Arms is a great place to eat if you don't like to cook. Rachel is a fabulous host, and she made some great recommendations for Hogmanay activities. She also let us know when there were Aurora Borealis sightings close by. I highly recommend booking Haddie Cottage if you're going to Cruden Bay.

A perfect stay in a lovely spacious property. Good communication from Emma before our visit. Clear instructions for our arrival and check in which went very smoothly. From the moment we walked in we felt like we were in a real home from home, equipped with everything you could need and more for a short break or longer holiday. We really appreciated the festive decorations had been left up for us to as this was a xmas catch up trip to see one side of the family. It all just felt so cosy and cheery. Hopefully we'll have a chance to return and enjoy what looked to be a lovely garden area in warmer weather. (-6 and snow on the ground during our visit ). A great all round experience.

Bev’s place was beautifully appointed and the additional extras - milk, coffee/tea, snacks etc were much appreciated. Bev was helpful when asked for directions to a nearby church, managing to provide a postcode. We all felt very comfortable and relaxed here.

Willison and Myra were very welcoming hosts, who showed us round the house when we arrived. What a lovely cottage it was, with spacious rooms and beautiful views across the countryside. The rooms were well equipped and immaculately clean. There were little extras in the kitchen, which were very much appreciated. All four of us agreed that we would love to return here in the future. It would be wonderful to visit in the summer, to enjoy the large conservatory and to further explore the surrounding countryside.

Absolutely excellent..!!! Such a lovely cottage, lots of extra little additions made it so inviting. Seonaid and husband extremely helpful and so inviting and absolute pleasure to stay in the cottage, and great weather too… My wife really liked the antics of the birds in the yard by the bird feeders and the little Robin that looked in the window in the morning from the patio area..

Beautiful gem of a place for a break. Absolutely lovely property and feel so lucky to have found it. Fantastic location and lovely host, an added bonus our pup made friends with their dog. Can’t fault this in anyway… 100% perfect in every way! ⭐️
