Aberdeenshire : locations de vacances avec accès à la plage

The flat is within an easy 20 minute walk from the train station (also on a bus route) and easy access to the city centre. We wanted to also be within walking distance of the university's Kings Hall. The accommodation was exactly what we required for two, although I think that if there had been four adults the sitting room would have been on the cramped size. We didn't cook, but there appeared to be everything needed to prepare meals in the kitchen; the fresh milk left in the fridge was much appreciated as we arrived in the late evening. The flat was very clean and in a good area, near a busy main road, but this did not disturb us at night.

We loved being so close to the sea. We very much enjoyed sitting by the living room window - the view over the bay was stunning and, on one evening, we were even treated to a glorious sunset. Our visit in February meant the beach was quiet and we walked for miles along the sand and through the forest. The flat itself is cosy, compact and comfortable and contained everything we needed. Our host was really helpful too, and we were super grateful for the welcome basket of groceries. We'd gladly stay here again.

Our second time here and another great stay. The place is spacious and well-equipped and easily walkable to local shops, restaurants and pubs; Carron To Mumbai is a great restaurant and only a couple of minutes walk away.

I wanted peaceful place near the water. Even though flat was in the buildings complex it was very quiet and no disturbance at all. Place was walking distance to the city center and stores

Great spot. Large apartment and just off union street in the heart of town. Easy walk to everything including the train station. Highly recommend.

Very relaxing stay in Jill’s flat . Nice flat with great views . Easy walk to beautiful beach . Our Labrador had a lovely time chasing waves . Minutes walk to two pubs serving food . Flat was clean with everything you need . Good supply of essentials . We would certainly recommend it .

Good location for Aberdeen, easy walking distance to Union Street. Quiet area with off street parking.

Fabulous apartment in beautiful Stonehaven. Clean, very spacious for two people and well equipped. Great location with everything you need just a short walk away. I was delighted to find the butcher in Market Square sold ‘proper’ mealie puddings and rowies. We found locals to be very friendly and helpful and enjoyed everything about our short stay here. Parking was no problem and we got parked right outside door. Would recommend and would definitely come back.

Granny Hoosie cottage was a beautiful clean and well equipped cottage. very good size bedrooms and had an amazing sea view. Anne the host was very quick to respond and very helpful. the surrounding areas are picturesque with lots to do locally and there's also a stunning beach a small walk away. We will most certainly be back.

Rockpool Cottage was a delightful getaway from it all. Set in a small quaint seaside village, you feel like you're in a totally different world. A wonderful place to go out and explore the surroundings for a day and then come back to your rustic, cozy cottage at night. If this is what you are looking for, you will not be disappointed. Diane was fantastic at communicating with us and was quick to answer any questions that we had. She had wonderful suggestions for things to do, and places to dine, including a wonderful small hotel restaurant only steps from our from our door. We were also close to many public golf courses in nearby towns, and amenities all around. Staying at Rockpool Cottage has created many wonderful memories for us, and was the perfect way to start winding down the last part of our trip to Scotland. Thank you Diane!

Stayed here while studying minke whales (or lack there of until May-ish) and dolphins in the area. Kiddos will probably love the bunny coat hanger. I stayed in the top bedroom which is the one next to the bathroom, a nice place and the bed is soft :)

This was our second time here and as usual Kenneth was very helpful with everything and put extra things in place for our 20 month old son which were greatly appreciated

Lovely find. The Smoke House is like stepping into a warm hug. We all loved the quirkiness of it. The fabulous social spaces. Really enjoyed our stay. So generously stocked with essentials.

Amazing place to stay with so much to see and do. Soooo many good places in walking distance for great activities, good food and places to have a drink.

Abbiamo trascorso 3 giorni stupendi nell'alloggio di Chiara. Eravamo già passati da Pennan in estate e volevamo provare l'esperienza di essere come Local per qualche giorno in inverno. Così è stato, il cottage é molto accogliente, dentro un antica casa di pescatori nel porticciolo di Pennan, una posizione unica da cui godere della baia e del cielo stellato. Assolutamente un esperienza bellissima.

If we could give a place more than 5 stars we would. Everything exceeded expectations. It was immaculate, well thought out, and comfortable. Whinnyfold is an absolute treasure. It felt like a fairytale village too beautiful to be real. We are excited to return.

Thanks for a wonderful stay. The flat was ideal for our family, and appreciate the travel cot, bedding and toys. The flat is a 5 minute walk to the beach, even quicker drive - and also close to supermarkets.

we had a great stay in this apartment. it was perfect for the harbour, the beach and all local amenities. the flat itself is lovely, with everything you need for a short stay. my 3 year old was delighted with the toy chest! the beds were super comfy. we had a great time!

Absolutely fantastic apartment and a great host. Unfortunately our stay was cut short due to work commitments as it was a nice place to stay, hopefully will be back up soon

The annex is exactly as shown in the pictures, super cozy and warm. The kitchen has everything you might need for cooking at home but, should you need anything (like scales for baking), David and Lisa gladly and quickly provide it. The living room/bedroom was spacious for us not to be in each other's way, it kept warm (heating had to be on the lower settings!), and the views are amazing. The spacious bathroom was super clean, and the shower is the best one I have found in years! The place is so quiet, you barely hear the rain! The nearest bus stop is about 30/40 minutes' walk away if you are comfortable walking on country roads with no lighting (headtorch, a must). You might get lucky and be stopped on your tracks by some deer crossing the road right in front of you like we did on our way back from Inverness :) If you are after a place to hibernate and hide from the crowds, this is the one!

We have stayed in this property before and the reason that we have returned.The property is spotless,situated in a prime site with fantastic sea views ,stretching over the fantastic Banff links sands.All local amenities are within walking distance and many quaint small towns are a short drive away to explore.We cannot recommend this property and host high enough.

Gardenstown is a great place for a quiet break. Claire’s house was clean, comfortable and in a superb location. The village has all basic amenities. The short walk to the harbour was easy and is a great place to be if you want a quiet, peaceful break. Everyone is so friendly. Would highly recommend taking a relaxing break here.

Very nice place made with taste. Top floor - 5th - gives you an overwier on the port with many ships going in and out on daily basis. Very close to City Centre. Parking with a designated place under the building. So all and even more included for our stay there. It was next segment of our walk aroung UK. We walked over 200km in 7 days and it was always a pleasure to come back to the apartment to have a rest and prepare for next day hike.

I had the pleasure of staying in Ricky and Katrina’s apartment for over two months while finishing up my research at the university, and it was a fantastic experience. The apartment itself is cosy and quiet, with a lovely view of the market square, which regularly hosts local markets and events on weekends. It’s the perfect place for anyone needing a peaceful space to focus, just as I had hoped. Throughout my stay, Katrina was responsive and understanding, always ready to help with any issues that came up. Her butcher shop below the apartment offers some truly delicious teriyaki salmon fillets—definitely don’t miss them if you have a kitchen! If you’re looking for a short stay in Stonehaven or a quiet, well-maintained spot to commute to nearby Aberdeen (or Edinburgh, if not frequent), I highly recommend staying at their place. It’s in a great location and makes for the perfect retreat for anyone needing a peaceful home base.
