Absolutely fabulous stay in this beautiful place. Stunning view, cosy house. Great area brilliant local pub and eatiers on the door step, stunning beaches. We explored every day. We used the local bus service to have a night out in Stonehaven which is a great service. The house had plenty of store cupboard ingredients, cooking utensils. Had everything you could need even a fabulous board game . We loved it so so much and already want to come back.

The cottage was everything we had hoped for. A cosy little retreat next to the sea. The decor and interior design finish is modern with a traditional fisherman’s cottage feel. The house has been refurbished so it’s warm and fresh. We loved the proximity to the shore and the small window facing out to the sea is so nice to sit at and watch the bird life. We will definitely be making it a regular return as we only live an hour away.

Village très agréable en hiver avec 2 petits magasins alimentaire ouverts bien achalandés. Restaurant ouvert qu'en fin d'après midi et le soir. Habitants bien veillant.

Absolutely amazing spot with everything our family needed and more, a place to really escape and relax

In Mark 6:31, Jesus said to his disciples, "Come away by yourselves to a quiet place and rest a while" As Christian. Very easy to do that here. And the constant sound of the sea, well Revelation 14:2 says, " And I heard a sound from heaven like the roar of rushing waters and like a loud peal of thunder. The sound I heard was like that of harpists playing their harps." Perfect. Very thankful. 😊

This is a return visit for us, to somewhere we feel very at home. It feels like you`ve stepped back in time, a visit to your grannie`s perhaps. The decor and ornaments/furniture suit the cottage perfectly. The kitchen is well stocked with old fashioned plates and cutlery etc. The house has heaters but theres an open fire which we thoroughly enjoyed. The bedding is luxurious and the bed is very comfortable. The house is quiet and the sea is right outside the door. My coat was nicely warmed by a heater in the hall, perfect each time I headed out. Lots to see in and around Pennan. Would highly recommend and will most definitely return. Thank you Gayle.

We had a lovely stay in Sandend, a beautiful quiet beach, great for dog walks and surfing. Jane was a great host, communication was quick responsive and informative. Loved the cottage location in the harbour area, and sitting outside in the sun on the little picnic table eating our breakfast to the sound of the waves. The cottage itself is compact and we were only a couple, low ceilings and a steep staircase so be aware it might not suit some folk. But it was just perfect for us, cosy and very well equipped! We would love to come back, thank you Jane! Xx

Abbiamo trascorso 3 giorni stupendi nell'alloggio di Chiara. Eravamo già passati da Pennan in estate e volevamo provare l'esperienza di essere come Local per qualche giorno in inverno. Così è stato, il cottage é molto accogliente, dentro un antica casa di pescatori nel porticciolo di Pennan, una posizione unica da cui godere della baia e del cielo stellato. Assolutamente un esperienza bellissima.

We loved our stay by the sea, everything was of a high standard and the beds were extremely comfortable and great views from the rooms. Couldn’t have asked for a better location. We would certainly recommend for a visit to Stonehaven, you would not be disappointed.

Rockpool Cottage was a delightful getaway from it all. Set in a small quaint seaside village, you feel like you're in a totally different world. A wonderful place to go out and explore the surroundings for a day and then come back to your rustic, cozy cottage at night. If this is what you are looking for, you will not be disappointed. Diane was fantastic at communicating with us and was quick to answer any questions that we had. She had wonderful suggestions for things to do, and places to dine, including a wonderful small hotel restaurant only steps from our from our door. We were also close to many public golf courses in nearby towns, and amenities all around. Staying at Rockpool Cottage has created many wonderful memories for us, and was the perfect way to start winding down the last part of our trip to Scotland. Thank you Diane!

great location,comfy warm accomodation with everything you would require , suited a disabled relative with downstairs bedroom and bathroom ,easy access into the house . property well located for walks along the shore and for the fit and healthy plenty good walks to neighbouring village ,well situated for exploring other towns . found the hotel a bit pricey ,but cafe would highly recommend,well stocked shop in the village and lobster shop I did have the lobster and crab roll, very tasty . overall we would go back ,we were lucky enough to have good weather and we did love the location.

Amazing house with a beautiful sea view. We stayed here for 4 nights and it was a wonderful experience. The house was clean and pristine and had all the amenities we needed and more. Alistair and Kathy were amazing and communicated with us regularly before the check in and were helpful for any queries we had. They had provided us with a lovely hamper which had wonderful treats and gifts for the kids. The house itself was very spacious and all the rooms were decorated beautifully. We will definitely recommend this house to anyone visiting the area.

Beautiful location and generous problem solving. The smoke detector alarmed for most of Sunday night and Gertrud was very understanding about it and offered a solution that helped to alleviate the situation. Alarm is replaced now. It was wonderful to wake up to the sea and to rest to the sounds of waves in the evening. Looking forward to returning here.

What a wonderful place for some much needed R&R. Carols place exceeded my expectations, the photos don't do it justice! It was immaculately clean, very well thought out, homely and very comfortable, the best AirBNB I have ever stayed in and I can't wait to go back. I loved exploring the local beaches and villages and just recharging. Thanks for everything Carol, and your messages!
