What a lovely property to fit a large family. About 20 mins to Taormina, you find yourself removed from the tourists and able to enjoy this beautiful house and outdoor space. We arranged for a chef to come and cook at the house for us and was a very memorable experience. Thanks so much and will stay again!

We verbleven met een groep van 8 personen in het chalet van Salvo. Al snel na het boeken van het verblijf kregen we een handleiding over het huis toegestuurd. De handleiding was zeer nuttig en behulpzaam. Zo konden we informatie inwinnen over supermarkten, activiteiten in de omgeving en algemene informatie over het verblijf zelf. Daarnaast konden we via de handleiding een koud diner bestellen. We deden dit zodat we bij aankomst gelijk aan tafel konden. Het diner is door Salvo zelf gemaakt en smaakte fantastisch, een absolute aanrader! Het verblijf in het chalet zelf beviel ons zeer goed. Er is meer dan genoeg ruimte om te overnachten en om binnen en buitenshuis wat te doen. De locatie ten opzichte van de Etna is fantastisch en je kan binnen de kortste keren aan een hike beginnen. Het uitzicht richting de zee was ook zeer fraai. Wij raden iedereen aan die met een groep rondom de Etna wil verblijven om in het chalet van Salvo te overnachten!

Beautiful apartment with good location, great consideration and very helpful

An ideal base to explore Taormina and Etna from. The rooms were large, and the welcome pack of food and drink was very much appreciated. Such a beautiful view and the jacuzzi made it perfect.

Our stay in Sicily was truly unforgettable! The house had a beautiful character, filled with charming details that made it feel like a home. The garden was a stunning oasis, perfect for relaxing and enjoying the warm Sicilian evenings. Our host, Carlo, was exceptional—always available to answer questions and provide recommendations. The highlight of our trip was the incredible five-course Sicilian dinner Carlo organized for us, showcasing the region's delicious cuisine. Each dish was a delight! The location itself is a must-visit, with breathtaking views and rich culture all around. We felt immersed in the beauty and warmth of Sicily. Highly recommend this lovely spot for anyone looking to experience the best of the island!

We had a fabulous time at Mario’s place with our two young kids. The place is nicer than the photos. The hospitality was amazing and we appreciated Mario going out of his way to accommodate our late check in. The local recommendations were lovely. We even took Mario’s help to secure some restaurant bookings. It was a great experience and I would highly recommend it.

Superb location, right in the heart of Catania. Loads of superb local restaurants, fish market and the Elephant statue/ Cathedral on your doorstep. Terrace was amazing with stunning views of Etna and the town, beds comfy and a jacuzzi bath to ease the aches from volcano climbing (and two bathrooms was a plus). 200 yards from the airport bus on our return. Just be aware, as other reviews have said, it can get noisy in the evenings until late and noisy in the early mornings as they set-up in the market. I took earplugs and slept well but do consider this. Otherwise a fantastic place to stay.

Antonella is super nice and a great host. Her place is tiny but we figure out how to accommodate everything, put the luggages underneath the table and get before the clothing for the day, there’s no space for medium luggage. Is exactly like she describes. It’s a sofa bed and I could not deal with, so we put the mattress on the floor and slept super well 🤗 she left cookies and wine, so nice of her. Linen and towels high quality! The location is premium!

Valentina’s place was a great spot. Walkable and close to the water. Parking was tricky, especially with a big van, but we always managed to find a spot after a few circles. The Apt is on the 3rd floor without an elevator. It was fine but with big suitcases, it was a bit tiresome. On our first night, we didn’t have hot water, but that was an easy fix with Valentina sending her handyman over. The bathroom shower in the 2nd floor doesn’t drain well, so that was a bit of an issue. But overall, I would rate our stay a solid 4.5 stars. Great location, the place was clean and cute. Valentina was responsive and was kind enough to have some beverages and a few snacks for us. We really enjoyed our stay.

We stayed 4 nights in the flat and went on day trips to Syracusa, Taormina and Etna. First, the flat is confortable, with every bedrooms having shower and toilets. The living room/kitchen is big enough to have breakfast but not enough confortable if you plan to stay the all day inside. Secondly, but up to me, it is well decorated with upcycled stuff. Finally, the flat is well located. Lots of restaurants and bar near by. And few minutes walking from main touristic area. Stazione centrale might be a little bit far away.

Pobyt i apartament można opisać tylko jako świetny. Joanna perfekcyjnie dba o gości, komunikacja jest bardzo szybka, udzielone instrukcje są trafne i cenne. Mieszkanie zapewnia wszystko co potrzebne na każdym pobycie, przy nienagannej czystości. Dużym plusem jest lokalizacja w odległości spokojnego spaceru od Duomo. Uważaj tylko jeżeli chcesz długo pospać bo poranny ruch uliczny nie będzie twoim sprzymierzeńcem 🙂

Majutuskoht on hästi askeetlik kuid kõik vajalik on olemas. Küll aga tuleb ise osta tee, kohvi, pesuvahendid ja muud igapäevatarbed, mis paljudes majutuskohtades on olemas. Seega pikemaks peatumiseks sobib hästi. Asukoht see-eest on suurepärane. Väga lähedal Piazza del Duomo, supermkarketid, rongijaam, bussijaam - kõik on jalutuskäigu kaugusel. Omaette majake annab mõnusa privaatsuse ja hubase olemise.

Nous avons séjourné pendant une semaine à 6 personnes dans la partie a l étage de la maison. L appartement ne correspond pas tout à fait aux photos puisqu une chambre a été ajoutée dans le salon … mais la pièce de vie reste très spacieuse. Il n y avait pas de volets ( et pas de rideaux opaques dans le salon) ce qui est dommage quand on dort dans le salon et que le soleil se lève a 6h … et surtout pour couper du soleil quand il y fait très chaud . La cuisine n était pas suffisamment équipée plutôt rustique Heureusement que Sonia s est montrée réactive à nos demandes. La Clim était indispensable mais n est pas assez performante pour rafraîchir les chambres. Je dirais que l appartement vaut le coup pour la terrasse et la vue sur Taormina et la tranquillité s il y a du monde au rdc ( cet appartement doit être plus adapté pour un long séjour) .les extérieurs sont vraiment magiques et très appréciables en période de canicule ils sont d ailleurs très bien entretenus .

Un lieu d'une beauté exceptionnelle, entouré de vergers luxuriants. Graziella et son époux sont des hôtes remarquables : réactifs, chaleureux et d'une grande gentillesse. Grâce à leurs précieux conseils, nous avons découvert des restaurants de qualité et des sites fascinants à explorer dans la région. Nous nous sommes immédiatement sentis chez nous. De plus, étant arrivés tard dans la nuit, ils ont eu la délicatesse de nous laisser un petit déjeuner pour le lendemain matin. Un séjour inoubliable.

Beautiful villa at the base of Mt. Etna. Very large pool and garden. Nadia and her family are close by and very responsive / always willing to help. The location is great as it is close to the volcano and a 15 min drive to the beaches. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely go back!

The apartment was spacious, very clean and the view from the very large deck was amazing. Check in was a breeze as we were given clear instructions on how to get to the parking garage. Francesca was extremely communicative and always ready to help. The town was a few minutes walk away and there were many good restaurants and shops here.

Wir hatten eine tolle Zeit bei Maria, Jay und ihrem Sohn. Sie waren super freundlich und hilfsbereit. Die Unterkunft ist wunderschön, gemütlich und mit einem riesigen Garten. Der Blick auf den ätna ist wirklich atemberaubend. Vielen lieben Dank für die Gastfreundschaft. Wir würden die Unterkunft auf jeden Fall empfehlen.

Lovely Airbnb in a private compound. Walkable to the little village of Santa Tecla and to a Hotel with a nice Lido. Paolo was a great host and very responsive throughout the stay.

The check-in was flexible and easily arranged. The villa was beautiful and very comfortable for two couples, located outside of the city which makes it easy to unplug and relax. Thanks for a lovely stay.

Spacious apartment with excellent views of the water and surrounding hillside. The residential complex is picturesque and peaceful. Extremely convenient location, reachable by car from one side and walkable to the Corso Umberto and most of Taormina’s tourist attractions from the other. The hostess was very communicative and provided all the information we needed to comfortably enjoy our stay. Amenities and rooms matched pictures and descriptions. Checkin and checkout were flexible. Can’t recommend enough!

Guilia's place is spectacular! It's better than the photos with gorgeous views of the sea, mountains, city and even Calabria in the distance. The grounds are immaculate with a huge private terrace for meals and drinks and a massive pool that feels like your own private resort. Giulia's family lives in the other units and were always friendly and helpful but not intrusive in the least. Even Papaya the dog knew when to leave us to ourselves lol! The interior is pristine and spacious. As many have pointed out the town center is about a 10-15 minute walk away. So you are very close to all the restaurants and shops but away from the tourist hordes. Taormina is hilly but most of the walk is relatively flat. Traffic is not a worry, we did not encounter much of it on our walks. Also, Italian drivers, although speedy, are careful and well aware of pedestrians. Giulia is a fantastic host, always quick to provide recommendations and respond to our questions. Wish we could have stayed forever!
