William's property is so beautiful. The view of the lake is breathtaking from sunrise to sunset. We enjoyed every meal on the screened in porch surrounded by the beatiful water. The home is so cozy and feels homey yet luxurious. It had eveything we needed. The access to the water from the dock was one of our favorite parts. A lot of wonderful memories were made by the water... swimming, kayaking, watching turtles and fish. It was such a relaxing and peaceful vacation spot and we hope to be able to stay again in the future. We also enjoyed the historical aspect of the property and felt a connection when we visited Fort Ticonderoga, which was minutes away. Our family loved this vacation and this lovely and charming home! Thank you!

Very cozy place overlooking beautiful lake George and you can see the owners put a lot of efforts into it. Ticonderoga is just 5 minutes drive - a small town with surprisingly rich history and some things to do too although the Fort was closed for the season.

This house was incredible. Open concept first floor to gather for making dinner and eating around the table. Incredible views of the Mad River Valley, a hot tub, and room downstairs to hang out. Highly recommend for a weekend of skiing.

Great place to stay if you want to true peace and beauty. It's close to neighboring towns, which is a plus if you're looking to explore Vermont. There were a lot of great hikes nearby (Mt Philo was only 10 minutes away with amazing views) Nothing beat the back deck overlooking the water. We enjoyed eating outside listening to the birds. 10/10 stay.

Great stay, we all enjoyed ourselves. We did get some weather from the hurricane on our last night and temporary power outage, allowing for that last chance to truly disconnect. Screened porch was a great spot to relax. Enjoyed the waterfront and rented a boat, well worth it. The house was as described, no surprises and very clean. When I reached out to Guy with a question or two he responded immediately. We had a great time!

Our family had a wonderful stay at Kate's house! She was extremely responsive throughout the entire process, and the house is in a gorgeous location overlooking a lake. We would love to come stay again!!

This has been our second stay here and it was once again wonderful! Spacious, great kitchen for gathering and meals. The surrounding area is beautiful, lots of great skiing nearby, some wonderful towns to check out and a lot of outdoor fun to be had right at the house.

The location was remote but still easy to find and not far from the main road. Peaceful and private with the best view I have ever had at a rental in Vermont (which is saying a lot given how beautiful the state is) The house was well stocked and clean. Jeannie was very accommodating but not overbearing at all. Would absolutely return.

The location is peaceful and beautiful. Loved having our morning coffee on the dock overlooking the lake and autumn leaves. Enjoyed kayaking to Paddlers Pub for drinks & food. The cottage is very cozy and just enough space for 2 people.

We've had a wonderful stay at the cottage on the lake. From the moment you arrive, you find the peace and serenity you came for. The stairs to the water are a short walk to views and daily sunsets. The cottage is well stocked and cozy for winter nights. Cell service and wifi keep you connected. Pratt's General Store is well-stocked and a five minute ride, and Middlebury is only 20 minutes away. Would recommend to any looking to re-connect with nature and the beauty that is Vermont.

This beautiful rustic little cottage was everything we hoped it would be. Clean, comfortable, well stocked, and lots of interesting old decor and books. We spent a good 30 minutes the first night just looking at all the old photos and memorabilia. The chairs, couch, and bed are all incredibly comfortable, and the large screened in porch is perfect for when you want to enjoy dinner outside without all the mosquitoes. Of course, we didn't spend many daylight hours in the cottage - instead we made use of the kayaks and private dock, and hiking on the nearby trails. It was fun seeing the dock from Rattlesnake Point! Don and Gary were great hosts - responsive, friendly, great local recommendations. We couldn't have asked for a more beautiful spot to spend our anniversary, and we hope to be back again and again!

My partner and I had a fantastic stay at the Book House. It’s a funky, clean, quiet, and cozy (very!) little cottage. We loved having morning coffee on the porch with a gorgeous view of the lake, kayaking with Canadian geese, being surrounded by books and warming our feet by the gas stove, exploring the beautiful countryside, and hiking up Snake Mountain. And we really enjoyed our host, Laurel, who stays next door. She was super friendly, easy to communicate with, and was available if we needed her but also gave us plenty of privacy. The Book House is about a 15-20 mins drive to Middlebury (also great to explore), so you’ll want to stock up on provisions. However, nearby Pratt’s Country Store has all the basics you need and once you’re settled in you may not want to leave - we didn’t! Thanks again Laurel for sharing your special place.

We enjoyed our stay, especially the special touches around the guest house (comfortable bedding and claw bathtub) as well as its gorgeous view. Jeff made sure we had everything we needed for a weekend away, clear instructions and local recommendations.

We had a truly wonderful time staying at Jeff’s place and are so glad to have found this gem of a home! From the start of our trip till the end, Jeff was a very warm, welcoming and communicative host. The home is in a truly picturesque location. Very peaceful, but also really close to Middlebury, Brandon and amenities. The home is very comfortable, and was pristine when we arrived. 6 of us (including two kids) stayed comfortably. The kitchen is well stocked and we enjoyed quality time over meals at home, and also had plenty to do outside. All in all, this was truly a break for us! We’d be glad to be back again! The house is exactly across the street from Lake Dunmore, and has a private deck and access for canoe and kayaks. What a beautiful place!

Check in was smooth & house was ready & inviting with a welcome bottle of wine , maple syrup & chocolates! We loved our family weekend away in this beautiful, peaceful, home, 3 generations , plenty of space & comfortable surroundings , grandkids loved the downstairs , plenty of room & safe spot for them to have fun ! Adults loved the living room ups stairs with the fireplace , great space to sit & chat . We also spent a lot time cooking & gathering in the spacious kitchen /dining area, outside deck has AMAZING views! Highly recommend a stay , Anastasia was great to work with , along with amber her house manager! Thank you !!!

We had a wonderful stay! The home was beautiful with a large living area, fully equipped kitchen, and stunning lake views. Would definitely recommend having an all wheel drive to access the house (especially during the winter) but the directions provided were very helpful when initially finding the place. This is a place that we are fortunate to go to each year. Our entire family loves the cabin and peaceful lake. I think this is our 7th year. If you’re looking for tranquil, this is the perfect place.
