Afrique : séjours à la ferme

The house is perfect if you want to feel like you’re staying in a rural location but with the airport 10/15 minutes away and a village 200m away. The property is a lovely chalet set in 360 degree countryside. It is great for walking and relaxing but also well located to explore the island. The downstairs living space is very comfortable with a well equipped kitchen and cosy living room area including a wood fire. The downstairs bedrooms were spotlessly clean and the beds were very comfortable. Both bathrooms were also spotlessly clean. The upstairs bedroom is on a mezzanine, but around a corner from the balcony - so you are enclosed away from the living areas downstairs. Joana was a fantastic host - she was always very helpful and informative and provided some lovely local breads and jams on arrival. Thank you!

Sally's house is an absolutely beautiful & spacious traditional village home! Fully equipped with everything you might need, makes you feel right at home. A very comfortable stay for two people. The cute little terrace/outdoor sitting area is a great bonus! Sally is very friendly & responsive and sent us detailed information well before our arrival. Overall, a great choice for a stay in the area!

Nous avons beaucoup apprécié le lieu qui a une âme mise en valeur par Claudio et Michaela. La maison est agréable et remplie de belles histoires autour de la rénovation de ce magnifique moulin. Nous espérons revenir et le recommandons vivement. Merci beaucoup et à une prochaine fois j'espère !

We stayed in this beautiful home which was full of soul and character with top quality furnishings and comfortable beds and bed linen. The swimming pool and garden were equally beautiful and the scent of jasmine from the tree in the courtyard was enchanting.

Quite honestly one of the best Airbnb experiences I’ve ever had. An amazing family home in an equally special part of the Western Cape.

Ankommen, durchatmen, loslassen. Ou Waenhuis ist ein zauberhaftes Cottage, absolut ruhig und wunderschön gelegen in der weiten Landschaft der Kleinen Karoo. Gemütlich und geschmackvoll eingerichtet, mit vielen liebevollen Details. Nach einem langen Morgenspaziergang über das großzügige Gelände der Farm, oder entlang dem wundersamen Land-Art Pfad am Bach, lädt die schattige Stoop zum Verweilen ein. Hier entspannt der Geist, umgeben von der Schönheit der Landschaft und Heleens kreativem Ausdruck. Heleen und Karel sind die warmherzigsten Gastgeber, die einen aufs herzlichste willkommen heißen. Dies war unser zweiter Aufenthalt auf der Aswater Farm und wir werden wiederkommen.

Absolutely enjoyed every minute at Vila III, Spacious, clean, beautiful surroundings and amazing scenery. could not fault this home, had virtually everything you needed, you do need a car to venture out as the home is secluded and in fact i didn't hire a car initially, but on arrival Bruno the host sorted a car hire, which arrived the very next day and any questions you required, Bruno was there on hand. So thank you Bruno for our amazing stay at Vila III, loved the place 5 star

Wir hatten wundervolle Tage auf der Farm. Das Haus ist einfach sehr schön eingerichtet und der Garten lädt zum verweilen ein. Hier kann man tagsüber entspannen in den Pool gehen und abends an der Feuerstelle sitzen. Von der Terrasse aus hat man einen wunderbaren Blick auf die Pferde. Von der Unterkunft kann man viele Unternehmungen in der Umgebung machen. Leider haben wir Angela nicht persönlich kennen gelernt aber wir waren stets über Messenger in Kontakt. Sie war sehr hilfsbereit und half uns bei allen Anliegen so zum Beispiel eine perfekte Babyausstattung im Haus. Vielen Dank für alles. Wir wären gern noch länger geblieben aber unsere Reise geht nun weiter.

The suite was spacious, homely and had the most beautiful outside views. The host replied timeously and made sure that the stay was comfortable for us. The staff was also very friendly. Kelvin was so friendly and respectful. He made fire for us everyday effortlessly.

What an amazing place to stay! Very beautiful and relaxed environment. Super private, well decorated and everything you would need to have a nice time. Simon is a wonderful host, very flexible with check-in and personally welcoming you when you arrive. Simon facilitated a morning hike and had great stories to tell, very much recommend doing this even if you’re not into hiking a lot - its worth it!

Eine wirklich besondere Unterkunft. Groß, geräumig und sehr liebevoll ausgestattet. Wir hatten dort einen verregneten Tag, an dem wir die Barn mit ihrer Helligkeit und Weite ausgiebig genießen konnten. Gastgeber Jacque wohnt quasi um die Ecke und war bei Problemen und Fragen sofort zur Stelle. Die Barn liegt allerdings etwas abgelgen und man muss nach Sedgefield oder Knysna etwa eine knappe halbe Stunde fahren.

We had a wonderful stay at the cottage! The interiors are lovely and you feel completely at home! Our favourite space was the beautiful kitchen. The outdoor showers are also a nice touch. We will definitely stay again :)!

This is my 2nd year staying here before my Safari tour. It is the best place to relax and enjoy beauty of Tanzania. Be sure to go for a walk to the polo club and see the meandering wildlife. I will be back again

The garden cottage is on a beautiful farm, views and scenery was breathtaking! the cottage is private and lovely. Th firewood hot tub was easy to use and felt like heaven, I did not want to get out. we had an amazing stay, and will definitely be returning. thanks so much to the friendly and helpful host, Vanessa. 🫶 :)

Amazing unique place to stay! Our family found the area very picturesque and totally peaceful! Swimming in the concrete water reservoir was very cool! We really enjoyed the hike and history of the area! The dirt road access was easy to navigate.

We loved our stay at The Cairn! It is super-spacious, creatively decorated and set in lovely surroundings. And it has loads crockery and cutlery! Carl was wonderful.

Very nice villa with a wanderfull view over the sea and a nice pool and livingroom. Also the second floor is very nice. We spent last days of our HoneyMoon in Madeira (visited for the first time 4 years ago) and we hope to reuturn asap here ...
