Fantastiskt hus och natur med mycket vilda djur på stor mark. (påfåglar, fladdermöss) Hundarna är ett problem för mig som är hundrädd vilket drar ner upplevelsen något då de både skäller på natten och strövar runt poolen på dagarna. (notera: De är snälla) Servicen och personalen på plats va hjälpsamma och snälla. Vi älskade kvällsbad i poolen, en fin promenad ner till stranden och ett avlägset privat boende med autentisk känsla. AC på rummet är ett måste, fint att det fanns. Vi älskade Polhena och matlagningskursen i Sambol Garden.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at an Airbnb hosted by Ruwan, and it was a delightful experience. Ruwan was an extremely warm and welcoming host, making us feel at home from the moment we arrived. The location was fantastic, within walking distance to both the beach and Coconut Tree Hill. The lush green property felt almost like staying in a forest, offering a serene environment. The breakfast provided was very good, with a variety of delicious options. The room was a bit small, but it didn't affect our comfort during the stay. Additionally, Ruwan offers to help plan activities in and around Mirissa, which could add a lot of value to your trip. Despite the minor detail about the room size, the stay had its positive aspects, particularly Ruwan's hospitality, the excellent breakfast, and the beautiful surroundings. This Airbnb is a great choice for travelers looking for a welcoming host and a beautiful location.

We had a great stay at Bandula’s villa! Bandula was so helpful and friendly. The place was clean and perfectly located. We would 100% stay here again if we came back to Sri Lanka

An amazing place to stay and enjoy the beauty that is Mirissa. Till was very proactive and helpful, with everything right from the instructions for the house to local recommendations. The house is very lovely, we were a big family of 8 and each one of us enjoyed the stay.

Lovely base for a family - so handy with a highchair, cot and toys! Anna was easy to communicate with and the place was as described. There were restaurants nearby. Only slight thing was it’s only fans not air con, so it was quite warm in the days but fine at night

We had such a lovely and tranquil stay! The home was comfortable, clean and beautifully furnished. The kitchen was well equipped and the big glass windows are divine to enjoy at any time of day but especially at sunset as you can see the sun slowly setting behind the lush trees. We highly recommend arranging a private yoga lesson from Melanie, she was very experienced and the session felt really personalised, it was such a treat in such a beautiful environment. The home is really close proximity to the beach and the staff on site were friendly and helpful.

My friend and me were lucky to spend a whole month in this little paradise and we had a wonderful time. The pool is amazing . The garden is magical. By night it turns into a sea of lights . Everybody was very friendly and it really felt like home . We were lucky to spend there a long period though small unpleasantries just melt in the whole sweet experience. Even it’s a calm place place located a little more far away from the town you will here music and co . There was a little construction work going on wich weren’t perfect , but In total I absolutely fell in love with this place and it’s people and their little dog Lolita . Thanks So much !!!

Excellent Staff! Very well maintained premises, neat and clean but the highlight has to be the staff. The host was very prompt and helpful, prior to and throughout the stay. A little out of the way and secluded.Not much to do around the property, but that's why we loved it. Better with your own vehicle for transport. Pls do get the staff to prepare your meals, the best food we had on our trip to SL. Would definitely stay at pineapple Villa on my next trip to SL. Thank you Tushari, Hema and Randini.

We had an incredible 4-night stay at this stunning heritage property in Unawatuna! The rooms were beautifully maintained, retaining their original charm and character. What truly made our stay exceptional were the wonderful caretakers, Nalaka and Chandana. They went above and beyond to ensure our comfort and convenience. From arranging transportation to recommending and providing delicious food options, they were always available to help. Their warm hospitality and attention to detail made us feel right at home. We can't thank them enough for their kindness and hard work. Chris is a great host and very responsive. If you're looking for a unique and authentic experience in Sri Lanka, look no further! This heritage property is a gem, and Nalaka and Chandana will make sure your stay is unforgettable. Highly recommend!

Vi bodde i huset i sex veckor och gladdes mycket över generösa utrymmen överlag. Huset är väl placerat med gångavstånd till många olika restauranger och barer. Avståndet till stränder är något längre, ca 1,5 km. Personalen tog väl hand om oss och var lyhörda för eventuella önskemål. De kunde ordna transporter av skilda slag och hjälpte till med allt vi undrade över. En i personalen kunde mot en mindre ersättning laga underbart god lankesisk mat som vi åt i den stora matsalen med plats för åtta personer. Poolen överraskade oss, den är finare än som framgår av bilderna. Ett litet minus är att trädgården runt huset är liten och utsikten från poolen är en mur. På muren kunde man ibland se apor och ekorrar och på gräsytorna spankulerade påfåglar. AC finns i sovrummen men ingen sådan i sällskapsutrymmen vilket ibland gör dessa svåra att använda. Köket är mycket basic. Ugnen som anges i beskrivningen finns i personalköket men den kunde vi använda.

Pavi, Bathi and their family and friends are the loveliest of people, always ready to help or offer advice when needed. Our apartment was situated on the 2nd floor and was lovely, bedroom and bathroom bare very large as is the kitchen diner, if there was anything you needed Pavi got it sorted asap, the grounds are immaculate and have a plethora of wildlife wandering the grounds, the use of the swimming pool was a great addition. Polhena itself is situated in a great spot for travelling out from and has a wonderful little beach(it does get busy at weekends). Shops are in walking distance as is the main town of Matara or a short fun tuk tuk ride. Colombo and other places are easily accessible via buses or train, both a fun way to travel. We will be back.

We stayed at the villa for 5 nights 6 days. Firstly the caretakers Amila & Madara are the show stoppers who are friendly and approachable for anything you need. They speak good English and are knowledgeable about tourist activities and proactively help you plan your day. We were 5 adults (grandparents, parents & an uncle) with 2 small boys (4.5 years and 1 year old) and occupied all of the villa. The kids enjoyed running around the garden and my elder boy became friends with Amila's daughter of similar age to play with! The swimming pool was the best escape during hot summer afternoons to cool down since it's covered with greenery on all sides! Breakfast and other meals were served at the dining table under a fan cooled gazebo near the pool. Breakfast always had more varieties than we asked for to cater to all our needs! We loved the home cooked meals we ordered! The hosts were very responsive and accommodating! Early check in was granted and breakfast prepared upon arrival!

Etmba House is such a treat! The home is cozy, stunning, and perfect for a family getaway. We really enjoyed spending our days there. Everything is clean, and the crew—Nuan, Michael, and Shehaan—are super attentive and outstanding. A special mention to Thilakshi, whose delicious local dishes were so fun to try. It’s the ideal spot to relax, whether lounging by the pool, soaking in the quiet, or listening to the calls of peacocks. The location is fantastic too—close to Galle and several beautiful beaches, with Autos and Ubers readily available. Lara is communicative and can answer any questions you might have. Highly recommend it and we cannot wait to be back!

Punchi Dowa est un petit paradis en dehors du temps. Tout n’est que beauté: la nature, la maison, le soin apporté à la déco, même le dîner préparé par Pududu qui est aussi bon que beau. Plus qu’un séjour, c’est une expérience à ne pas rater. Merci et bravo à Hettie.

Wir hatten eine wundervolle Zeit hier! Die Unterkunft und das Gelände sind wunderschön und sehr gepflegt! Die Cabana ist sehr sauber und perfekt ausgestattet mit AC und wir haben das Außenbad so geliebt! Der Blick ins Grüne ist unglaublich schön und wir konnten viele Tiere sehen wie Affen, Pfauen, Vögel und Streifenhörnchen. Die Geräuschkulisse ist perfekt zum Entspannen. Die Gastgeber waren unglaublich herzlich und aufmerksam. Sie waren stets als Ansprechpartner zur Verfügung und gaben uns viele gute und hilfreiche Tipps für die Umgebung und ganz Sri Lanka. Das Frühstück und das Abendessen, was sie für uns zubereiteten war so lecker und frisch und sie gingen auf unsere Wünsche ein. Wir haben uns hier wie zuhause gefühlt und jede Sekunde hier geliebt. Diese Unterkunft ist wirklich ein versteckter Diamant. Wir legen jedem diese Unterkunft ans Herz! Vielen Dank für alles!

Отдыхали с 31 апреля по 16 марта. Договорились с хозяином о трансфере из аэропорта за честную цену и так же трансфер обратно. Жилье очень комфортное, определенно стоит своих денег, хозяин очень приветливы, угощал фруктами и приглашал на традиционный завтрак. Вокруг вас будут жить много обезьянок, разнообразных птичек и милые белки 🐿️ Обезьяны ни разу не заходили на нашу территорию так как пугливые но наблюдать за ними со стороны одно удовольствие. В безопасности жилья можно быть абсолютно спокойным. Так же к нам приезжали друзья и дом рассчитан чтобы принять 4 человека но без ночевой так как кондиционер только в одной спальне а остальное помещение охлаждают вентиляторы. Кухня большая просторная с плитой, блендером, рисоваркой и всем необходимым если захочется готовить самим. Душевая с туалетом большая и просторная. Так же хозяин предлагает экскурсию в Эллу и может отвезти вас туда на своей машине за хороший прайс. А на 3 этаже вас ждут 2 шезлонга и потрясающий вид на звездное небо 🌌

Wunderschöne Unterkunft in einer ruhigen Lage im Dschungel umgeben von Einheimischen. Sehr gut erreichbar mit öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln ( Bus und Bahn) und ca. 15 Minuten Fußweg. Das Haus ist sehr sauber, super bequemes Bett, Klimaanlage im Schlafzimmer und in den anderen Zimmern befinden sich Ventilatoren. Die Küche ist komplett ausgestattet und es gibt sogar einen Wasserfilter, so dass auch ausreichend Trinkwasser vorhanden ist. Die Dusche hat kein heißes Wasser, aber bei 34 Grad Außentemperatur ist lauwarmes Wasser vollkommen ausreichend. Es gibt einen kleinen süßen Garten, in welchem man auch mal die Seele baumeln lassen kann. Ansprechpartnerin war für uns Mudeeka, die uns geholfen hat, einen Ausflug in den Yala Nationalpark zu organisieren und an unserem letzten Abend gemeinsam mit ihrer Familie einen Kochkurs veranstaltet hat. Wir waren insgesamt 2 Wochen zu Gast, haben aber zwischendurch eine Backpacking-Tour durchs Landesinnere unternommen.

We spent two lovely days relaxing at this beautiful little garden flat. Thuruni very kindly allowed us to check in early and could not have been more helpful explaining everything with very good English. We loved the gorgeous garden and surroundings, eating at the outdoor dining table. The outdoor kitchen was brilliantly equipped with everything one could need including tea, coffee, condiments, incense sticks, washing and cleaning products. Attention to detail was excellent. It was great to have our own private space after 2 weeks of using hotels plus catch up with our laundry. We had an amazing evening with a Sri Lankan buffet and live band around the corner at Sand Banks Restaurant. Highly recommended.

Kalini's very spacious house with its wonderful garden is very close to the seaside which is a bit off the beaten track. We, and especially the children, particularly enjoyed Pollihena beach, which is just a 8 min cycle ride from Kalini. The house is well furnished and equipped. The support from Kalini's father was particularly great: he was on hand to give us tips and contacts, brought us fruit, and was overall very helpful.

This was my second stint at Osman’s airbnb and same as the first period - everything was great. It’s well-equipped for short or long (in my case) stays. He (and is his family) are also incredible hosts. I felt very safe in the area, cared for by the hosts, and really enjoyed my time here. Look forward to coming back!

We had an absolutely fantastic stay at this lovely three-bedroom house near Coconut Tree Hill in Mirissa, highly recommend! From the moment we arrived, we loved the spaciousness and charm of the place. The highlight was the massive veranda – it's the perfect spot to relax and enjoy the shade during the heat of the Sri Lankan day. We spent most of our time there, just soaking in the tranquil atmosphere and relaxing the lush surroundings. The house was impeccably clean, well-maintained, and nicely decorated. Each bedroom and bed is comfortable, making it an ideal retreat after a day of exploring. The location is perfect – just a short walk to Coconut Tree Hill and the stunning beaches of Mirissa. The host and his family were incredibly welcoming and responsive, ensuring that our stay was nothing short of perfect. I can't recommend this place enough! If you're looking for a serene getaway with all the comforts of home and a great place to chill in the heat then this could be it. 5*'s!
