After a long drive from La Fortuna, it was a pleasant surprise to pull into this property! We opened our car doors to the sound of the waves and walked up to see the blue pool and the beach! The villa was relaxing with hammocks and a rooftop deck! We grilled some chicken and plantains and made our own Casado one night too. Note that the bedroom with the bunk beds is not connected to the main house. The local soda is really good too!

This villa is amazing. The comfort and view are quite unique. The villa has everything you can dream of as cooking utensils. The Roma Del Mar complex is very nice too. We enjoyed a lot the pool and view all day, with often the visit of howler monkeys. The restaurant, beach and kids zipline and trampoline down the hill are just excellent amenities for families. Noelia was very helpful with recommandations of activities and things to do. We also enjoyed a lot the massages from Annie. We also had Carmen cook some typical tico meals for us twice during our stay and the experience was great! We would go back anytime. Thanks much!

Daniel easily gave me the caretakers number, he met us upon arrival, helped us carry our bags, gave us a through walk through of the house, showing us how to use appliances, and location of all items. The house was wonderful with doors open and nice breezes from the ocean. The ocean was just feet away and the water warm. The beach at places had trash but by the ocean itself was clean and peaceful and we felt safe. We all enjoyed the pool, there were 6 adults and a 20 month old baby. The baby enjoyed the tours and books. We were also given some limes and bananas which made us feel special. Johnny the caretaker was extra nice and readily available to help in any way. His wife made and gave us rice with milk pudding which was very good and again a special treat. We enjoyed the birds and iguana around the property too. A wonderful place for our family to vacation

Very nice house to stay in. Very clean and comfortable. They pool was fantastic. Great beach as well. Lots of fun playing in the waves. Very safe and close to lots of things to do. Great place for a large group and an awesome master suite upstairs. Would definitely recommend to others. Also has a home phone to call locally and out of country. This made it great to stay in touch with people back home.

Muy buena atención y coordinación

This AirBNB was excellent. It was a huge compound and property with a pool and very well kept. They had horses and other farm animals around. The caretakers of the property live in a separate wing and are there to help you whenever you need. The beach is very accessible and pretty nice although a bit rocky. An added bonus was that one night as the tide was peaking the bay became strikingly bioluminescent and we were able to swim around. I am not sure if that is a common occurrence or not (this was in late Feb). As soon as the tide started going out the bioluminescence was gone. The area while very rural had enough to do to keep us busy for 5 days. One thing to note is that while the description said “No hot water” there was indeed hot water when we went.

Un alojamiento con muchas plantas tropicales y zonas verdes muy bien cuidadas. La piscina muy limpia y agua bien filtrada. La construcción es vieja, aunque está conservada. Está ubicada en zona poblada, aunque es silenciosa en la noche.

Una casa clásica de Puntarenas, muy bien mantenida. Es una casa con sus años, pero eso lo hace aún mejor para mi gusto. La propiedad es preciosa, los jardines muy bien mantenidos y mucho espacio. Una gran experiencia.

The house was exactly what we expected. A little in need of updating. Slight signs of wear and tear, but comfortable and cleanish. We enjoyed our stay, and wish we had planned more time at this location. Beach was covered in trash and driftwood (I know its out of the owners control, but just want future guests to know). Beautiful beach access. Recommend!

Our stay here was amazing. There was plenty of room for four couples and lots of places to hang out, play card games, read, and relax. The outdoor area with the pool, pool table, hammocks, and beach access was by far the most beautiful area I have ever stayed. The house was very clean with great air conditioning and we did not have any issues here with unwanted critters or mosquitos. The caretakers who live next door were so kind and although they spoke little English and we spoke little Spanish, it was great to have them nearby. There is a security system in place and we felt safe the entire visit, even when leaving the doors open for the ocean breeze. The only thing that I felt was unclear was coming and going by car through the main gate but the caretakers just kept an eye out for us and were there whenever we needed the gate open when leaving or arriving. The beach is beautiful to walk on and we went on a boat tour to a nearby island that was magnificent. We loved our stay here.

We were looking for a place for our small wedding ceremony at the beach and Kathy’s house was above and beyond expectation . Absolutely stunning sunsets . A lot of wild life to enjoy the view even more . This house is very private and secure very cozy and has everything we need it. Thank you so much Kathy

Vanessa y su esposo son dos personas muy amables y cordiales. Vanessa me recibió con frutas, agua fría y me recomendó restaurantes, excursiones y me contó información interesante de este bello país. Siento que los voy a extrañar porque son personas maravillosas que me hicieron sentir como en casa. Vanessa es una hermosa persona y la casa es espectacular con todas las comodidades necesarias. Los amaneceres y atardeceres desde la terraza son preciosos y está ubicado en una muy buena zona accesible a todo. Gracias a Vanessa disfruté por sus recomendaciones de unos ricos platos típicos. Realmente vayan que van a sentirse muy confortables en ese lugar. Realmente el lugar hace honor a la frase Pura Vida.

La casa de Hazel es muy linda limpia y segura , muy serca de todos los lugares en la isla la recomiendo mucho un lugar tranquilo y acogedor!

We absolutely LOVED our stay at this beautiful and cozy little cabin (with the most amazing view). You will fall asleep to the sound of the jungle and the river— while waking up to the beautiful smell of many diffrent plants and rays of sunshine through the trees. Jessica and Chris gave us recommendations and suggestions each day - probably the best ‘host’ experience I’ve ever had at an airbnb. They were responsive and SO helpful. Alfredo and his sweet dog Chocko brightened our each morning. 10/10 I cannot recommend enough.

the Airbnb was 5 starts for the price. clean and safe. everything you need with a restaurant and groceries across the street. street sounds can be heard throughout the night, so beware if you're a light sleeper and need absolute quite. but the home was lovely. I would definitely stay again

First off let me preface this review by saying that I myself am an Airbnb host of 5 units in a tourist town. Leonardo was an amazing host and exceeded our expectations! The beds were very comfortable, had lots of great pillows and a kitchen with everything you need. Very hot showers every night with on demand water heater. He and his wife cook a tasty breakfast every morning which is available for a very reasonable fee (highly recommended) and they also have laundry service available per kg (also highly recommend for longer stays) In the back of his property he has an awesome trail system which leads down to the river. There is so much wildlife to view there! We even saw a rainbow toucan and other toucans during our stay. He also hosts a free nighttime frog tour. He is wonderful with kids and helped show us lizards, glass frogs, birds during our stay. Leonardo and his team helped us identify our tour options and gave us great ideas for around town. Pool was heated and clean!

La cabina es preciosa. Tiene lo necesario para pasar unas vacaciones bonitas en familia. Hay parqueo hasta para 2 (incluso 3) carros. Restaurantes cerca, así como una pulpería. Don Adrián fue un sol de anfitrión. Definitivamente volvería a ir con mi familia.
