We can't say enough good things about Ruta Verde BB! We chose this Airbnb as it was close to the airport, but just outside of town where you didn't feel like you were right in the city. We stayed here on our first and last night in Costa Rica. We greatly appreciated the convenience of being picked up at the airport and dropped off before our flight. We also rented a vehicle directly from Willian (SUV 4x4) that made renting a car so much more convenient. On top of that, they provide meals for you upon request, which were delicious! (the fruit smoothies are a must!) We can't recommend this place enough. William and his family are the nicest people we have met in Costa Rica. We felt truly welcomed and taken care of. We hope to be back soon! Pura Vida!

Absolutely gorgeous setting with beautiful grounds and an amazing view of the volcano. The space was perfect for our family of five and being associated with the hotel made checking in and getting information very easy. Breakfast was delicioys and the staff was very friendly and accomodating. It is conveniently located with a car though may be less so without a car.

We stayed here one night and our time was MUCH too short. We are already planning to return for a longer time. It is perfect for a couple or a family and even for a small group. A stay for one night or one month, this place is perfect. A stay for one couple or one family, or for a larger group, this place is perfect. It is an excellent place to enter and leave the country, since it is close to the airport, and it is an excellent place to use as your base as you explore the surrounding area. It is also an excellent place to stay and be relaxed and refreshed. And, the customer service is excellent. Manual is very responsive and helpful and his staff are kind, thoughtful and very good at making guests feel cared for and at home.

Muy bonito lugar con una muy linda vista

Wir haben uns willkommen und gut beraten gefühlt. William war nicht nur ein ausgesprochen guter Koch, der sich vom Durchschnitt abhob, er machte uns auch sogleich viele Vorschläge, was wir alles unternehmen könnten. Er war unentwegt fleißig und hatte irgendwie alles im Griff, teilweise gleichzeitig, obwohl er auch nur zwei Hände hatte. So organisierte er für uns den Poás Vulkan Besuch, obwohl er gleichzeitig kochte. Alle Achtung! Zusätzlich zur Hotelwirtschaft, gärtnerte er und bot Chuttle vom und zum Flughafen an. Es war alles sehr strukturiert und sauber. Das Toikettenpapier durfte man ins WC werfen, große Plus. ; ) Wir bedanken uns herzlich für die letzten 4 Tage von insgesamt 5 aufregenden und tollen Wochen Costa Rica. PURA VIDA

El lugar es muy seguro, las instalaciones son muy completas, muy limpio y cómodo. Recomendado.

Good alternative to the high dollar resorts near Arenal. Didn’t realize it was part of a large development but was pleasantly surprised with the staff and the amenities. Great food and volcano views from the restaurant. Too far to walk into La Fortuna, so if you don’t have a rental car, you can get cheap Uber’s back and forth. Great stay and would recommend!

Everything at casa del rio was fabulous! The hotel is beautiful. Every staff member was so kind and helpful. The rooms were perfect for a family of 5. And the staff helped us coordinate everything we wanted to do while in la fortuna. I can’t wait to return

So this was a welcome surprise for us as we wanted to stay at a place with beautiful views and soak in the Arenal misty experience. This is the perfect place for that.We happened to be the first guests and Wybe our host took great care of us. What amazed us was the location and the beauty, also we were provided complimentary breakfast for both days of our status. we would recommend booking tours through Wybes company redlavatours as it will be easy for pick up and drop.

Excelente lugar y la atención fue lo esperado

We loved our stay at casa del rio. Truly this was a case of the reality being better than the pictures online. This boutique hotel is a hidden gem and an immersive rainforest experience with beautiful grounds and great hospitality. We loved our private patio and how convenient the close by restaurant and pools were. The complimentary breakfast is delicious and the restaurant staff was great. It truly is a unique stay and would be especially awesome for a destination wedding or family reunion. The staff was very responsive and went above and beyond to help us meet the needs of our toddler. Our toddler loved running around the soccer field and seeing the ducks on the pond. Hearing the river close by set a peaceful environment. The only critiques we had is that the water slide is a bit dangerous, though fun, and there were a lot of bugs (though this part of the authentic jungle experience).
