Staying at Daniela & Carmen’s house was a wonderful experience. The view from their back porch is awesome, and their hospitality is even better. It was a true, local, hosted experience (what AirBnb was founded on)! The house is up on a steep hill, but it’s in a great, cozy location; totally worth it for the views and cool breezy weather. It was a very comfortable, economical accommodation, just as their listing had described. Also, Carmen is a great cook, very caring, and was super patient with my mediocre Spanish! Daniela was an awesome host; she communicated really well about logistics, was flexible with my shifting plans, and was super friendly. I would stay with them again in a heartbeat.

Wow!! This place was a a little slice of heaven on earth! Amazing home, spacious and cozy, location, cooking kitchen, outdoor kitchen and facilities, beds were oh so comfy (slept wonderfully), and let’s highlight the patios, pool with waterfalls, and swim up bar. The gardens, plants, and flowers had me gazing everyday. Got me wanting a place just like it in La Fortuna. Walking around the neighborhood day and night was special and a quick trip into town and all La Fortuna has to offer. Quick response to all our questions. Thank you and would 100% rent again when we come back. Thank you.

Despite the language barrier she was very helpful and the place is in a great area where most everything is walking distance.

We stayed just one night as we were using the area as a half-way point to our next destination, but have no complaints. I did not think to see if there was hot water for a shower, but the climate is so nice, it was not a major problem. The hosts were responsive, and very accommodating.

La casa es muy bonita y limpia. La anfitriona fue increíblemente amable y siempre estuvo dispuesta a ayudar en lo que necesitáramos. Como recomendación, sería genial tener algunos juegos de mesa disponibles. Sin duda, una experiencia positiva.

Alonso’s place in Poshtel Arenal hostel is perfect for the budget traveler that still wants amenities! There is a small pool with swim up bar seats, restaurant/bar on site, and kitchen to make your own food. Music is played at night but only until about 10pm. Water was always hot & air conditioning worked well. Felt very safe with the gated entry. Deposit of 2,000 CRC required for towels and key but returned at check out. Overall, I would definitely stay here again!

Very beautiful location on Lake Arenal, lots of birds in the garden, amazing view, and excellent restaurant on the property. We were able the rent a kayak to explore the lake which was a lot of fun and very convenient. Stayed one night on the way from La Fortuna to Monteverde.

Excelente estancia. Un staff muy amable. Zona verde hermosa. Habitaciones muy limpias y un restaurante con precios muy accesibles.

Esta en las afueras de Fortuna pero a escasos 5 min andando del centro, habitaciones cómodas, agua caliente y aire acondicionado, con los precios de Costa Rica este alojamiento merece mucho la pena, un pequeño apartamento de dos habitaciones de matrimonio con cocina, baño y terracita propia. Muy cómodo.

We stayed here one night and our time was MUCH too short. We are already planning to return for a longer time. It is perfect for a couple or a family and even for a small group. A stay for one night or one month, this place is perfect. A stay for one couple or one family, or for a larger group, this place is perfect. It is an excellent place to enter and leave the country, since it is close to the airport, and it is an excellent place to use as your base as you explore the surrounding area. It is also an excellent place to stay and be relaxed and refreshed. And, the customer service is excellent. Manual is very responsive and helpful and his staff are kind, thoughtful and very good at making guests feel cared for and at home.

Nice and clean. Good service and maricela even came and picked me up at my previous hotel. Beautiful garden and balcony to enjoy.

Perfect spot to stop. What a view from the bed in the morning watching sunrise. Toured the La Colina mine spot 500 m south. Superb knowledge and stories about the area and the on going mining in the community. Not to be missed.

Rebecca's place worked out well for our trip to LaFortuna. It's about 10 min to town. It's a nice place. The pool was great. Be aware that the Hottub is a Jacuzzi that you have to fill with cold water and then wait 2 hrs for the heater to warm it up. Not a deal breaker but something to be aware of. The other issue is the rooster next door starts going off at 5:10 am like an alarm clock.
