Alajuelita : locations de vacances en chambre d'hôtes

Hospedarme con Nancy fue una de las mejores partes de mi viaje a Costa Rica. Me quedé en su casa al llegar y antes de irme porque está súper cerca del aeropuerto, ¡pero su lugar es mucho más que conveniente! La habitación es más linda que en las fotos: espaciosa, muy limpia, con buena luz, decoración hermosa, ventana grande con aire fresco, A/C, TV y baño con agua caliente. Todo olía delicioso. Nancy es una mujer admirable, trabajadora, amable y llena de luz. Me recibió con tanto cariño que me sentí como en casa desde el primer momento. Incluso me dio un pequeño tour por Alajuela, lo cual fue un detallazo. Y su perrito… ¡una ternura! Un pomerania esponjoso, juguetón y amoroso que te sigue a todos lados. ¡El verdadero protagonista! Me fui con lindos recuerdos y una nueva amiga. Sin duda volveré pronto para quedarme más tiempo y explorar más del país con Nancy. ¡Súper recomendada!

My mom, husband, and I stayed here before our flights out of Costa Rica and we thought the stay and Edward’s hospitality were amazing. My mom ended up coming to the stay first as I got food poisoning and had to stay behind with my husband at our last airbnb and Edward was extremely helpful and welcoming—she was very worried about traveling in another country without us and had not planned to be navigating on her own. We were so grateful that we chose this place to settle all her worries! Edward’s offered services of airport transport were a lifesaver for my mom and us as well. He was even willing to help my husband take the rental car back before we left! The Airbnb itself is super cute and secure. We didn’t spend the night, but had time to relax and found the furniture very comfortable. I would highly recommend this place to anyone traveling in and out of the airport. You won’t regret it!

Emilia’s home is just as lovely in person as it is in the pictures. She has a beautifully curated collection of paintings, books and sculptures that speak on behalf of her well traveled and interesting life. I only spent 4 days there but it felt like home and definitely felt safe as a female solo traveler. There was water, fresh juice, a fruit basket and snacks in the room when I arrived. There’s plenty of restaurants and shops close by but be prepared to go up and down a few hills or use Uber. A bonus to the wonderful accommodations was talking with Emilia. She’s a wise, thoughtful and intelligent woman. Our brief conversations were loaded with wisdom that I’m thankful she shared with me, when I’m back in the area I’m definitely staying there. I also bought several of her beautiful jewelry pieces, made in house by her amazing staff, to add to my memorable time in Costa Rica…Pura Vida!!

Excelente espacio para descansar y visitar la ciudad. El host muy amable, volvería a hospedarme!

Nazly, su esposo, sus hijos, son sumamente amables, siempre serviciales y con una luz que de verdad la podés sentir reflejada en la casa y su ambiente de paz. La estancia durante mis dos días fue extremadamente agradable. La casa sumamente limpia y organizada, con baño privado que es algo que uno valora, un jardín con un árbol de mangos y mesita al aire libre ideal para cambiar de ambiente. Don José y Felipe me ofrecieron té y preparan un pan que no tiene palabras para describir de lo delicioso. Fue una bendición poder coincidir y sin duda voy a volver. Impresionantes anfitriones!

Alojamiento súper tranquilo, cerca de San José para despejarse en pareja, súper recomendado.

Don Jose es sumamente amable, el lugar estaba muy limpio y ordenado.

David the host was extremely responsive and helpful. I had an early US Embassy appointment and he even got up to make me some coffee before the breakfast service started. Really appreciate the hospitality very close to the Embassy for appointments.

Excellent service--Lu even gave me a free upgrade for a month, and a ride to the airport on a Sunday night. I kept getting freebies from their kitchen too. Very nice people. Beautiful mountain views of Poas and of the city. Bring bug repellent--it is the tropics outside! Modern inside.
