My daughter and I loved our stay at this cozy cabin! Everything was as described and I appreciated the clear instructions for arrival and checkout. The heater worked great and the fleece blankets were very cozy. I appreciated the dvds and the fact that there were kids movies! The lack of wifi wasn’t an issue, my daughter’s phone worked just fine with Verizon. I have AT&T, mine did not work. I purchased my own coffee, but there was some in the cabinet. I appreciated the provided filters. We saw deer & elk on our walk through the neighborhood and enjoyed the sounds of the birds from the balcony. As for things to do, we visited White Sands, did the Osha Trail nearby and explored downtown Cloudcroft. It was a perfect spot to relax after long days of adventures. We had a great time and we would definitely stay here again!

Lots of space for our family of 6 to settle in. Wish we would have stayed another night. We were passing through and wanted a waypoint at White Sands - got in late and left early the next day. I think I would have enjoyed the sunroom if we’d stayed longer. The California king was a rare luxury in this price range!

The cabin was fantastic with everything we needed. The location is convenient to town but still secluded and feels like it's deep in the woods. The cabin really is cozy and makes you want to stay longer.

A quiet comfortable stay, and it met my needs for the week. Easy access to White Sands, Pistachio Land, and Ruidoso. The kitchen is great – it has all the appliances and utensils I needed, and there is a large water filter in the fridge. Keep in mind that the house has only the bare necessities, which I knew. I brought my own hair dryer and condiments, but I needed to pick up laundry detergent and clothes hangers from the store. Also, the living room only seats 3 people comfortably, but can seat up to 4. It didn’t affect my stay because I was solo on a work trip, but it’s something to note if you are planning a trip with more than 3-4 people. The listing description is pretty spot on!

Instructions on how to arrive were clear and specific and once we got there we were pleasantly surprised at how cozy everything was. Central climate control was effective and easy to use, beds were clean and comfortable, kitchen was spotless and bathrooms were perfect! Since the location is so far away from stores, bringing your own food is essential. The cabin had all the utensils and cooking equipment that you’d normally need (pots, pans, baking sheets, appliances, etc). One downside is that the internet is a bit slow, however it is to be expected being so secluded. So if you’re looking to disconnect, it’s great! But you might have trouble loading steaming services. Due to fire restrictions we were unable to grill / make a fire outside so we cannot speak to those amenities. Overall the cabin was cozy, comfy and a perfect getaway to the great outdoors. We stayed with children and grandchildren. Lots of games available on all levels. We appreciated the child gates near the stairs. The view out the back is stunning and we enjoyed the patios We loved the close proximity to our favorite bbq joint Mad Jacks!
