I've stayed in Airbnbs all over the world. This has been my favorite. What a spectacular house. Everything from the design, decor and functionality, is stellar. I cannot wait to come back and stay longer. This cabin is a work of art, and Shana was an incredible host.

Could not say enough great things about the Cottage! Beautiful setting among the trees (with great views out every window), convenient location to cville’s best activities, very well appointed and clean inside, easy to find / check in with Lucy’s prompt responsiveness, and 10/10 outdoor shower. We travel to Charlottesville frequently and the Cottage is now at the top of our list of stays. We hope to visit again soon. Thank you Lucy!

Great stay. Lovely property and Sam was easy to communicate with. Lots of great wineries and restaurants in the area. Just be aware it can be muddy due to the dirt road and parking area. it is red clay so bring appropriate shoes/boots for the season. Would definetly stay again.

We enjoyed the peaceful woods (mild December stay). The kitchen had basic pots and pans and a little dish ware. Our family of eight slept very soundly. Next time we’ll come in the Spring or Fall and hike the reservoir trail!

My husband, our Corgi Boy & I loved the Grainshed. Tom & his wife greeted us for our evening arrival and offered all kinds of advice for hiking, dining and driving. Humphrey met one of their dogs called Gracie and loved hanging out with the cows and chickens. The Grainshed looked much more bright and cozy in real life than on the pictures. We didn’t cook, but used the kitchenette area for storing food and prepping water bottles for the day. We had space for a midsize crate as well. The couch and sofa chair were cozy and even if we were right next to the owners house, we felt private. On nice days you can chill behind the house on picknick benches or walk the peaceful property. The nearby town Scotsville (10-15mins) has a great coffee place, a super market and a few restaurants, we enjoyed the Italian one for pizza one night. Yogaville is 20 mins away, Crabtree Falls 1 hour and Appomattox Court House NHS 30 mins. We will return for a peaceful countryside mountain weekend.

The cabin is set in beautiful surroundings. Perfect way to disconnect from work and from real life. This cabin is so much better than the pictures. The pictures do not even do it justice. Absolutely amazing cabin and land!

The one bedroom cabin was simply awesome. The grounds, views and pool were amazing. 11/10. Gazebo was another perfect addition for outdoor space and activities. Can’t wait to get back and reserve the other spaces there - 3 bedroom cabin and large house sleeping 12. Awesome time in Somerset!

Perfect location and peaceful. Lots of windows and pretty scenery. We enjoyed the wineries and hiking nearby as well.

Gorgeous surroundings. The cabin itself is better than the pictures. It is a wonderful place to relax, unwind and enjoy nature. Bill is an excellent host. I felt very comfortable communicating with him. He left a detailed instruction booklet, complete with the story of the cabin. Reading it made me feel like I had met him in real life and had a personal connection.

The house is clean and comfortable, combining the off-the-grid feel of a peaceful cabin in the woods with all the comforts of modern life. A great home-away-from-home while we explored the history, natural beauty and good food that central Virginia has to offer. We especially enjoyed exploring the trail from the cabin down to the Rockfish River.

Wonderful stay with a beautiful view right off the deck!! Plenty of wineries to visit nearby as well. All around a great stay!

Very much enjoyed a short but sweet stay in this cabin! Appreciated the little touches including both fireplaces being set up for use upon arrival & maps of the area being laid out on the kitchen island. This quiet, pet-friendly Airbnb was a great escape for the weekend. Thank you for having us 🙂

My wife and I rented Acute Lodge for last night and it was a great little spot. We played a few games of scrabble on their really nice game-board. The boho style was really cool. We used the solstice to have a little fire and amid the incoming storms, we actually got to see some stars. We had a very nice stay and will likely stay again in the future as we attend a nearby motorcycle racing facility. Thanks to the host for a great spot!

Excellent instructions on how to get there! Cozy and comfortable for two people. Clear instructions on how best to use the various types of heat. We enjoyed the screen door and windows open during the day, walking our dogs around the property and exploring the area. No issues using the WiFi to stream a movie on our laptop. The location was peaceful and private yet within 30 minutes of the places we wanted to visit. We highly recommend Dr. Ho’s Humble Pie for dinner, Brent Manor Vineyard and Pippin Hill Winery. This is a great time to visit Monticello before spring breaks! We look forward to coming again when more plants are in bloom. Daffodils and Crocuses were just beginning to open up this past week.
