Fantastic spot to enjoy a weekend in Charlottesville. There is a place to sit outside underneath two large holly trees, and the location is right next to a wonderful winery. It was well situated to wineries in the area, grocery stores in Charlottesville (Wegmans is 5 minutes down the road), and also near Monticello-Saunders Trails (5 minutes down the road). My only complaint is some of the dishes/utensils weren't cleaned, presumably by previous renters.

I booked a last minute spontaneous mental health getaway to the mountains of Virginia. I loved the apartment and the hosts were so accommodating. I had everything I needed and more during my stay. My favorite part was the claw leg tub and the deck. Both perfect for winding down. The location is great because there is a lot to do nearby. You can be in Charlottesville or the Shenandoah National Park south entrance in about 20 mins. My only regret is that I didn’t stay longer to enjoy the Airbnb and more of the area.

Enjoyed our stay—beautiful location away from the bustle of Charlottesville but close enough to get to UVA (15-20 min). Appreciated that this was a stand-alone space with windows and a view. Would definitely stay here again.

This stay was so peaceful. I was just passing through Charlottesville for one night and this was the perfect spot to get some rest. I enjoyed a relaxing bath and slept well in the comfortable bed. Erin greeted me upon arrival and was very kind. I’d certainly recommend this stay for solo female travelers or a couple.

Hidden Gem definitely deserves its name! Beautiful views with things to do in the area. My girlfriend and I enjoyed our weekend getaway!!

This was our second unit we had with Matt at the same time! A truly great stay in Charlottesville with him, we really enjoyed our short stay – the house was a clean and very welcoming for sure! It was truly Awesome location - seemingly 1mile everywhere, and always great comms with Matt always, nice to have in a host for sure. Definitely one of our better picks we have had in that area ! Many thanks again, we will certainly try and stay here again with Matt, if and when the opportunity arises!

The place was super cute and clean! Not only are the surroundings absolutely gorgeous, there was a place to sit and enjoy it. The hot tub was a small walk and felt really private. The robes were such a nice touch! Close enough to restaurants, wineries, and Charlottesville without feeling like you’re staying in the city. I would definitely stay here again if I was coming to the area!

Great spot for a last minute stay.

Tracy was proactive and her property seemed to anticipate every need. The space was beautifully decorated and well equipped, and was even lovelier than the photographic images. I have been traveling to the Charlottesville area for years, but rarely have had the opportunity to stay at an "estate" type property such as this. We happened upon the peak weekend of fall colors, so our views of the mountains from our rental was pure poetry. This property is a gift and Tracy (the owner/host) obviously loves sharing their space. If you have the opportunity, I highly recommend Tracy and this rental!

This was an excellent choice for our stay in Charlottesville! I appreciated that every detail about the cottage was thoughtful and accentuated the stay. It seemed like the hosts thought of every detail to improve the quality of our visit.. from the snacks to the roll-out bed to the baby highchair. Everything was easy and comfortable, our whole group (to include dogs and kids) enjoyed it! A+

This cottage was everything we hoped for from the cottage itself, the grounds and the beautiful horses. Best part was being able to pet and feed the horses. Thank you Louis for a memorable stay.

I can’t say enough positive things about the cottage, the property, and the booking experience start to finish. My husband and I were visiting the area for a couple days for a wedding, and we were just happy to find something so close to the venue that allowed dogs and wouldn’t break the bank. It turned out to be all that and more! Josh and Megan let us know when the cottage was ready and their directions were perfect. The property is secluded, but it’s not too far from civilization if you need groceries/supplies. We watched birds from rocking chairs on the front porch, the WiFi held up beautifully, the TV/Roku had everything we wanted, and the kitchen was fully equipped (and gorgeous!). The surrounding area was ideal for walking our 16-year old pup. We also slept like babies. If we had more time, we’d definitely have enjoyed the local attractions (restaurants, wineries, breweries, parks, museums, etc.). So much to do! We’d happily return!

We loved our stay here. Best air bnb I have stayed in. Extremely clean I’m sure Suzanne cleans it herself. Loved the coffee bar and water jug. She had all of the necessities other air bnb don’t think about. Very easy to find the home, lights outside were cute and so helpful. The fire place was a nice touch and the decor was very cozy. Really appreciate the cleanliness. The local recommendations and welcome book were awesome. Thanks for such a great stay!

This new apartment is in a quiet neighborhood and walking distance to the pedestrian mall. Comfy bed and Ann is right there in the big house if you have any concerns or questions. Needs a small dresser/bureau in the bedroom (plenty of room for one). Otherwise, perfect for our needs.

This home more than satisfied. Loved the fact that it was historic, yet so comfortably renovated. Also, that is was such an easy, quick drive to UVA. It was fun to stay somewhere different while we were in town visiting the college. It felt like a hidden gem!

Great stay! Location is conveniently located, offering easy car-ready access to all that Charlottesville has to offer. Quiet, private, fully-equipped, and comfortable as hell place! Great place for a stay of any duration. Hosts are accompanying, proactive, detailed, and very responsive. This place is “Show up and settle in” worthy. Surely my top choice for future visits to Charlottesville.

We do not have a single bad thing to say about our stay at the Loft! We needed a place to stay for an event in Charlottesville but wanted to be able to fit in a few hikes on Skyline. It was the perfect location, within easy driving distance from everywhere we went. We told Jen we would not be able to arrive until late in the evening to check in, and she was so sweet to have the lights on for us and even left homemade muffins! There were bowls and treats left for our dog and a convenient poop bag trash can. We would stay here again in a heartbeat! Don't let the small size of the Loft deceive you, it has everything you need for your stay and then some.

Kate’s cottage is in a quaint neighborhood near downtown. Her place is well appointed and very tidy. She is a great host and very friendly and clearly takes pride in making sure her guests are taken care of. Highly recommend this spot and great host!

Jeff and Denise made us feel completely at home! They provided all the check-in details ahead of time and even accommodated an early arrival. The property is stunning, with a picturesque driveway lined by mature cedar trees. The cottage, situated by the pool and jacuzzi, is simply charming. Inside, it was beautifully decorated, and we were greeted with a bottle of wine and chocolates. Everything felt fresh and new, as the unit has been recently renovated, and the beds were incredibly comfortable with soft linens and plenty of pillows. The kitchen was impressively stocked, and they even left us filtered water in the fridge. We had a wonderful time and can’t wait to return! Although we were just a short drive from UVA where we were visiting our daughter, the peaceful surroundings made it feel like a true getaway.

This is a nice little cottage just outside of town! Great value and top-notch hosting by Cynthia. She leaves out a greeting note with tasty cookies & a bottle of wine--so kind! The location is conveniently situated between Cville & the mountains and offered easy routes to the many nearby wineries. Its vibe is more rural than suburb, and feels very safe and secure. The surrounding yards and roads are beautiful! The cottage is comfortable and has everything you need & a whole lot more! The drawers and cabinets are thoughtfully stocked--I think I even saw a sewing kit for emergency clothing repairs! It's very clean/tidy and nicely decorated with cool & unique artwork. The bookshelf is legit! Cynthia created an informative binder of useful recommendations and area maps. We were only here for a quick weekend, but would certainly return for a longer stay. It's a great area to explore if you're a hiker or cyclist and we'll definitely bring our bikes next time!

This charming cottage was located among the rolling hills and pastures outside of Charlottesville. This location was perfect for our needs. I had to spend a few weeks recuperating from a medical procedure and the calming surroundings could not have been more perfect. Yet it is located close enough to Charlottesville to run in for a dinner or to pick up some groceries. Leah responded immediately to meet our needs. I had several pieces of mail and a package delivered to the main house and she brought them back to our cottage. Even while on vacation, she dealt with an Internet issue and we were up and running in a short time. Everything was clean and nicely decorated, exactly as described. We would return to this gem in a heartbeat.

Absolutely loved our stay here! A perfect spot for a quiet weekend away for our 3rd anniversary. Barbara was extremely kind and helpful and the house was absolutely spotless and very comfy. We felt right at home and relaxed. We would stay here again in a heartbeat. Meeting the sweet puppy was an added bonus.
