An amazing escape, perfectly situated to take advantage of all that Saugatuck has to offer from the beautiful views of the river with a private dock and fire pit to the short walk into town. Lovely house with all the amenities you could ever need to enjoy your stay whether you are vacationing with kids or escaping with the your friends to blow off some steam.

We absolutely loved our stay at this charming Saugatuck cottage! We stayed one night on a whim while driving from Milwaukee to Grand Rapids. The home is cozy, beautifully updated, and filled with character and comfort. The perfect blend of historic charm and modern convenience — everything felt clean, welcoming, and thoughtfully arranged. We especially appreciated the full kitchen, which made it easy to cook dinner and enjoy a relaxing evening in. Shoutout for having a cocktail shaker for drinks! The hot tub was a huge feature for us. It was sparkling clean and already the perfect temp on arrival. The location was ideal — quiet and peaceful, yet just a short walk or drive to the restaurants and shops in downtown Saugatuck. We would love to come back when it’s warm, in bloom, and the businesses are all open. (We visited a Monday in the off-season.) Whether it’s a romantic weekend, a family trip, or a cozy getaway with friends, if you’re considering booking don’t hesitate!

Loved staying here with our family and pups. The yard is super spacious for our pups and kids, the hot tub was great even in the cold weather and the house perfect for our family. Small touches around the house were appreciated as we had forgotten toothpaste and everything was stocked. Communication was easy and prompt. The location is convenient and close to all the fun. I had an absolutely fantastic stay at this Airbnb! The location was perfect, it was private but had lots to offer. The host was incredibly welcoming and responsive, making sure we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The place itself was spotless, beautifully decorated, and had all the comforts of home. I would highly recommend this Airbnb to anyone looking for a wonderful stay in the area. Had an awesome time here! Beautiful lake to look at while you enjoy the hot tub! It was too cold for us to go kayaking but we’re hoping to return here when it’s warmer to soak up some nature! House was perfectly clean and there were very clear and easy to follow directions for everything! Local recommendations were also listed with descriptions! Hosts were very responsive with information!

We had a perfect fall weekend getaway at Rod and Martha's place. We wanted to stay somewhere with a lake Michigan view and a quiet outdoor space to enjoy, and this was exactly that! The bed was very comfortable and loved the view of the lake from our space, especially the enclosed sun room. Martha met us to check in. She was very sweet and helpful and showed us around the space. Location was just what we were looking for. It was about a 10 min drive to restaurants and sights in Fennville and about 15 to Douglas/Saugatuck- which we loved. We highly recommend and would stay again in a heartbeat.

We had a great time! It was the perfect place for a short getaway with access to anything we needed/ wanted to do within minutes!

Absolutely amazing location... stunning, Breath-taking views. So nice to be able to have my dog in a nice place that isn't run down. Kitchen was fully stocked... More than I expected. Was able to roast a pheasant and have a full Christmas dinner. The last step down to the beach is missing but that was shown in the photos... Might be a challenge for people with limited physical ability. Apparently there are state parks nearby but the property and beach was so enchanting that we never left. Love love loved our stay.

This has been by far the best air bnb experience ever. It has the best view morning and night especially in the winter full of snow! My husky LOVED it. The hosts are on top of everything even the smallest details like providing snacks, dog toys, hygiene products, etc. instructions to get access to whatever you need are very clear. Communication with the hosts was superb. I experienced zero problems during my stay. I will definitely be back!! I HIGHLY recommend. ❤️

The little cottage was even better than the pictures. This cottage is well over 100 yrs old which is obvious with slanting floors, doors etc. The beauty of this place is how lovingly it has been restored without compromising its original form. Comfy, cozy, cheery, very clean and crisp…we couldn’t stop noticing all of the whimsical touches, like the use of a child’s artwork capturing their experiences at the cottage as part of the decor. The couch and chairs were very comfortable with plenty of reading lights. The kitchen was perfect for quick and simple prep. The beds and linen were wonderful with extra blankets plentiful. Our private deck had a perfect view of the sunset over the lake each night and the sound of waves lulled us to sleep every night. George checked in with us to make sure that we were comfortable and had what we needed. Driving into town was a quick 10 minutes. We highly recommend The Southerner for beautifully prepared and plentiful southern food! Thank you George

We loved staying in Mark's cottage. So cozy with a fireplace and a nice breeze when you open the sliding doors. You can see the woods through the sliding doors and I found it calming when reading my book in the cozy chair with a warm blanket. Downtown Holland and Downtown Saugatuck were very closeby. Great location for a getaway!

Beautiful lakefront property, plenty of room for a family, nice accommodations and amenities, plus a very friendly, proactive Host. We would love to take advantage of all the opportunities the Gun Lake community provides during the summer months and would definitely return here to stay.

Third time we’ve stayed here, it feels like staying at a second home at this point. Lisa is a fantastic host and is definitely the most responsive and proactive host I’ve met on this site.

Wally so generously had the cottage ready earlier than expected. Picking up the keys at the gallery was simple and convenient with the cottage so close by. The cottage is quaint, cozy and beautifully appointed with colorful art and unique items. The location is right in town, so we didn't need to use our vehicle during our stay and only did so to explore the surrounding area. The cottage has an enclosed small yard area, which was great as we brought our small dog. There are great shops and restaurants within a few blocks. During our stay I looked at the Airbnb website to check availability for the summer! I highly recommend Dumela Cozy Cottage!

Perfect little haven right by downtown Douglas and less than a mile and change from Saugatuck. Incredibly quiet street and very comfortable beds and couch!

We had a wonderful stay at this Airbnb in Douglas, MI! The check-in process was seamless, with a lockbox on the front patio as communicated. The property was clean, nicely decorated, and had thoughtful extras like toothbrushes, sleep masks, and a well-stocked coffee and tea setup. Joanna provided a fantastic guide with recommendations for local restaurants and things to do, which made exploring Douglas, Saugatuck, Holland, and New Haven even more enjoyable. The listing was accurate, and everything met our expectations. While we didn’t need to reach out, communication was prompt and helpful. Overall, this was a great place to stay, and I’d definitely recommend it to anyone looking to explore the area!

Fantastic location!! Stayed in the area due to a wedding. My family and I couldn't have asked for better accommodations. Allie was extremely quick to respond to any questions/concerns we might of had. The home is exactly as described, very cozy. The deck and the views of the lake were fantastic. You are close and far away from everything if you understand what I mean. Most definitely would stay again!! Thank you Allie for allowing us to stay. 5 stars across 👍👍👍👍👍

This place is such a cozy place super quiet and relaxing and a short drive to downtown South Haven and to Saugatuck i absolutely love it up to date place but in the woods Ashley was a amazing host she responded right away and then respectful of your space she is on it ❤️ 5 star will definitely be back..

We had a wonderful stay. The home was clean, comfortable and we had everything we needed plus some extra snacks we did not expect. We enjoyed sitting on the deck and taking in the surrounding nature and the peacefulness it provided. Communication was excellent and the host was very accommodating.
