This place was the highlight of our trip in Sri Lanka. From the second you arrive its like staying with family. the beds are comfortable the rooms spacious, air con and hot water. The very low room rate made us think there would be something wrong. Quite the opposite, Bhagya should simply be charging more. The dinner the family cooked for us was incredible and to see the safari/yala at the North end of the park, away from the crowds was the best experience we could have hoped for. there's only 15 safari 4x4s in the north opposed to 300 vehicles in the south. Raise your prices Bhagya this is the best product in Sri Lanka

Just incredible! We kept extending our stay! This is an absolute hidden gem of a place with views to die for. The cabin is so beautiful with huge windows and lovely character. The bed is so comfortable too. We had three very friendly dogs keep us company and the neighbours cat! Watching the storms from the upstairs window was incredible and seeing fireflies in the trees was so magical! Sidhu kindly ordered us local breakfast from town each morning and had it delivered to us. He is the most helpful host and always responds quickly. He really goes out of his way to help you and messages to check you’re ok and if you need anything each day. The cabin is truly a place to relax, unwind and you can spend so much time just staring at the view and watching the wildlife (birds, monkeys, frogs!) I would love to return someday. We had such a wonderful stay. The home was so clean, very modern and very spacious. The host was super friendly and very very quick to cater to all our needs. We felt very safe and comfortable. The rooms are equipped with air conditioning so the house was not hot. Our stay was very enjoyable and exceed our expectations 😁

Absolutely loved our stay here, felt like home right away. Spent many hours chilling on the outside sofas which are very very comfy. Had everything we needed with the kitchen and big fridge-freezer. Marie was amazing, gave us great tips for elephant & croc spotting (we saw loads just cruising around in a Tuk Tuk). The garden was beautiful and peaceful with fruit trees and flowers and an outside shower to cool down. Staying here made our time in Arugam Bay a wonderful experience. Thank you!

A perfect place to stay just outside the busy centre of arugam bay. A bit far to walk but easy in a tuk tuk or a rental car to the many surf spots or the centre. The house is beautiful and peaceful with areas to relax on the ground floor with friends. The highlight of the booking and what really makes it worth the money is Mita - a local friend of Nicola’s who looks after the property during the day and, if you ask nicely, can help you with anything you need. He made us an amazing bbq in one of the evenings and prepared the best breakfasts for the group every morning. Thank you Nicola and Mita! We will definitely be back soon!

One of the best places we've ever stayed! Amazing combination of comfort and nature. The view of the waterfall is incredible! Silence, peace and unforgettable beauty. But also you have bathroom and everything you need. At night we laying in the tent and watched the fireflies and this is one of the best memories of our five year old child. The staff is kind and helpful. The breakfast was delicious, the best on our trip. We regretted that we had taken only one night in this amazing place. Highly recommended!

This is an outstanding villa in a hillside location with wonderful views of the surrounding hills including Little Adam's Peak, a waterfall, endless forest and low areas far away towards the coast. Rumesh was very welcoming and helpful with walking suggestions and tuk tuk bookings. Ella is a 30 min ride away and the track down to the villa from the road is bumpy with steep sections. The food was home made, delicious and varied and was cooked fresh each day by a lady in the local village. The villa has two very well appointed bedrooms with ensuite shower rooms and a large central area where we ate meals and relaxed. There is a small library and some yoga mats. Rumesh had planted cacao, mango, curry leaf bush, coriander and lime trees close to the property and we were able to walk through these. The wildlife includes a profusion of Sri Lankan birds, squirrels, boar and fire flies. This is one of those special places in the world that will stay with you for ever. Thank you.

Lalantha was very responsive throughout the experience and gave information for our itinerary to ensure we made the most of our time in Ella. He was quick to communicate and was accommodating. Lalantha offered to make us dinner and breakfast for a reasonable price and it was very delicious authentic srilankan food. I would recommend to do the same. The place was very clean and in a quiet, peaceful and pretty part of Ella. There are other hotels very close to the property where we went to get some drinks and nibbles. It was perfect for 10 of us with nice outside dining areas and decent sized rooms for sharing. I would recommend having a driver to take you into Ella town and the other sightseeing spots. We were there for one night only and slept comfortably. It does get quite cold in the nightime because of the area so the only negative is I wish some thicker duvets were provided in some of the rooms. Apart from that it was a very smooth experience and very enjoyable.
