We enjoyed our stay very much and would recommend Emilie’s home to everyone staying in the Netherlands seeking a cultural experience! Very clean home with comfortable beds and Emilie is a wonderful hostess!

All good. Extremely responsive and accommodative host. Not ideal that the boat cannot be locked if you leave it. But quiet and safe neighbourhood and overall very pleasant stay in a cozy special location. Thanks a lot!

Superb stay very close to the Amsterdam city center. Very spacious, high quality and convenient. In particular we enjoyed the fire place (which was pre-arranged for us before our arrival), the fully equipped kitchen and of course the two very friendly cats.

Das Schiff ist wunderschön, wir haben uns sofort Zuhause gefühlt. Es ist ausreichend Platz für alle gewesen . Die Ausstattung auf dem Boot ist völlig ausreichend um auch für größere Gruppe kochen. Die Gastgeberin war absolut spitze, sehr nett und Sie hat uns alles wichtige erklärt und war immer ansprechbar wenn es Fragen gab. Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt sehr genossen und kommen gerne wieder !

Sandra est un capitaine de bateau de grande qualité, pédagogue, soucieuse de faire partager sa passion pour la voile, mobilisatrice des énergies des passagers. Ses conseils pour choisir le circuit et les étapes au port sont judicieux et nous nous sommes félicité de les avoir suivis. Ce bateau historique (il a plus de 100 ans), en parfait état est idéal pour faire ses premières armes de marin. Toute la famille était ravie de participer aux manoeuvres. Bref, que du positif. Wij hebben met de familie kerst op het schip van Simi gevierd. Leuke locatie en slapen in een kajuit op stapelbedden is was iets anders dan anders. Maar superleuk!

Das gemütliche Hausboot von Harold ist ideal für einen Aufenthalt von ein paar Tagen in Amsterdam. Mit öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln ist man superschnell in der Innenstadt! Das Hausboot ist gemütlich eingerichtet und es ist ein kleines Abenteuer, darin zu wohnen, wenn man es nicht gewöhnt ist. Harold ist sehr freundlich und hat uns sogar einen Obstkorb und eine Flasche Wein zur Begrüßung geschenkt!

We can really recommend staying on the boat. The location is something special, sitting in the wheelhouse watching the sun go down and the boats coming and going was so relaxing, you are surrounded by water birds and the gentle sounds of the harbour. Soooo easy to get into Amsterdam on the bus and tube. If you want to see more of the area get the bus to Edam, walk to Vollendam then ferry to Marken and a bus back home, great cafes in every town and all are fascinating to walk round. We feel very lucky to have spent time on Johanna.

Amazing place to stay at, super warm and cozy, while at the same time being spacious as well. We went as a larger group of people and were very comfortable, the host is very kind and responsive as well. Will 100% be back and suggest everyone to stay at this ship :)

Fijne host mooie ruimte. Slaapkamertjes zijn natuurlijk wel klein. Bedden zijn goed. Geen vaatwasmachine. Vonden wij niet erg maar goed om te weten. Prachtige ligplaats.

Sehr schöner Aufenthalt. Das betreten ist nicht ganz so einfach.

Wir waren als Team für die Regatta Head of the River Amstel in Amsterdam. Vom ersten Betreten bis zum Abschied haben wir uns sehr wohl auf dem Boot gefühlt. Wir spielten schon mit dem Gedanken einfach die Leinen los zu machen und los zu segeln. (kleiner Scherz) Es war alles auf dem Boot was man benötigt, es hat uns nichts gefehlt. Auch war es sehr sauber. Fragen wurden sehr schnell beantwortet und auch der Check-In und der Check-Out waren problemlos. Wir können das Boot nur empfehlen.

Excelente estadía! La pasamos muy bien, coincidía con la descripción, anfitriona 10/10 muy receptiva y pendiente de cualquier duda y/o necesidad. Todo el tiempo estaba en comunicación con nosotros, agradable persona además, lo recomiendo full. 5 merecidas estrellas, volveremos alguna vez con ella. Muy agradecidos.

This was the best Airbnb I’ve ever stayed in. If you’re considering staying here, just do it! The location was incredible. We were in the middle of everything and it was very convenient to the train and tram stations. The houseboat itself was perfect. It is small, but that didn’t bother us one bit. We loved watching all the boats go by from the comfort of the kitchen table. We will definitely stay here again in the future!

Remco war äußerst zuvorkommend, ein früherer Check-In war problemlos möglich. Auch am Tag der Abreise durften wir das Gepäck bis zur Abfahrt noch auf dem Schiff lassen. Die Lage in diesem bezaubernden Ort war super. Wir hatten einen tollen Aufenthalt.

Top verblijf voor grotere groepen. Centrum Leiden op loopafstand. Voldoende voorzieningen aanwezig op de boot. Aan te bevelen!

We had an amazing time on board Xandra and Marco’s ship “de Volharding”. We stayed one night with 3 families (6 adults and 6 kids). The whole experience of spending time together on their ship was absolutely worth it, and sleeping on board a historical ship gave the trip something extra special. The kids could’t believe it. The location is amazing, right in the heart of the harbour of beautiful Muiden. On board, everything is clean, well organized and cosy. Xandra even put up a small Christmas tree full of chocolates for the kids. Due to the winter season, we didn’t sail, but after talking to Marco, we’ll definately put that in our bucket list!
