This place was great! It was quiet, private, in a convenient location. The hostess was proactive in informing me of situations around the property/unit. I would definitely stay here again!

Our family loves Hope. We camp there every year. But sometimes it's nice to not bother hauling the camper and just stay in a nice shack in the woods. I am a repeat customer to Shack in the Woods, and will no doubt return in the future. The cabins are clean and comfortable, the area is serine and beautiful and close to all Hope has to offer. Thank you, Shack in the Woods, for another amazing stay!

Great, private location. Easy drive to Seward, Whittier and Girdwood. Perfect place to drop out bags and build a fire a night. Would definitely recommend.

Shack in the Woods is a quaint experience tucked away in the Hope area. Our cozy room had all the things that it described and was very spacious. Our host was very kind and provided wood for our stove. They provided great advice hiking and food options. The shower service that was included was delightful with a hot water dispenser that came in handy after a chilly misty hike. I hope to come back sometime in the fall again to enjoy the magical tranquility of Hope.

Great Airbnb for couples! The place was very clean, had room to store skis and I really appreciated the pre-loaded woodstove! The kitchen is small, but has everything you need to make simple meals and the views are fantastic. Also it's within walking distance to a beautiful waterfall. Overall would stay again!

This place was immaculate. Beautifully decorated and had everything we could possibly need. We especially loved being outside all of the hustle and bustle. Donna was an amazing hostess, and we would definitely stay here again.

The place is just right for me. Peaceful and private just the way I needed. Stayed in his place for two months this 2024 summer and stayed again another 4 days this Oct. 2024.

Absolutely amazing home. I wish I could copy and paste it to Alaska. Spotless and homey. She was a great host. Flexible on check in time and us having an unplanned overnight guest. Very responsive and helpful. Would 10/10 go back again.

Had a wonderful stay at Miriam’s! My time was short—just long enough to rest—but I felt very welcomed. The vibe was chill, the room was as-described (actually bigger than I thought!) but what really set it over-the-top was the personalized welcome note/packet/map that show-cases nearby walking paths/parks, restaurants and hours and a myriad of other helpful tidbits; Thank you all for the hospitality!!

Miriam was a gracious host. She sat and talked about local history that I was interested in, my second time to Alaska and learning about the state is always enjoyable thank you Mariam for a clean and quiet place to lay my head

5 stars! This was the perfect getaway. The location is fantastic, offering stunning views and a serene atmosphere. The decor is impeccable, with every detail thoughtfully curated, creating a cozy and private space. The property has a quaint charm that made our stay feel special. I highly recommend this beautiful place to anyone looking for a relaxing and picturesque retreat.

This was a good one night stay. I appreciated the flexibility for a late check in since my flight landed after 10pm. Place is conveniently close to the airport. The door to the room is a bit rough to close so I was concerned with making noise and waking up other people. The bed was really comfortable. To be fair the bathroom did need to be a bit more detailed with cleaning. I appreciate the hosts friendliness.

Malina's place was awesome. Quiet and cozy, yet close to the Glenn Highway for convenient, fast travel to Anchorage and the surrounding areas. There is a gas station/convenience store, italian restaurant, and breakfast cafe within a 5 minute drive. The bed was comfortable, as was the reclining sofa. Everything you need for a cup of coffee was provided, which made mornings a breeze! Malina was very responsive to messages and provided clear instructions for entry, parking, etc. Would definitely stay again. Thank you!

We came in late from the train ride from Seward. We were greeted with a bottle of Champagne on ice. Karla knew we were on our honeymoon and I thought that was extremely thoughtful! Wish we would have had more time to spend here. Very clean and comfortable bed!!

Carl is a great host. I had one issue whilst staying at his property and he was very fair and helpful when it came to dealing with it. The place is spacious enough for what we required and close enough to everything.. restaurants, night life, hiking trails etc. Also, the airport is right around the corner.

Wendy’s place was very comfortable and met all our needs. We absolutely loved the location - within view of Westchester Lagoon and remarkably quiet. It was also conveniently close to a major artery so it was easy to get wherever we needed to with minimal fuss. Wendy also took the time to add some safety features when she learned we would have a toddler with us.

Clean and fresh! I loved having the comfort of a recliner and an amazing TV in the living room. The bed was very comfortable and the linens were pristine. It was very tastefully decorated with a nod to Alaska.

We needed a place close to Alaska Regional Hospital and this place fit the bill perfectly. It's barely five minutes by car and only a ten minute walk. The place matched the pictures and was really clean. Great heat and it warms up quick so you can turn the heat down when you leave and turn it back up when you return and be nice and toasty again. Great water pressure and plenty of hot water. This place was a great place to rest and unwind after stressful days/nights at the hospital with a sick relative. Quiet family neighborhood on a dead end street. We would stay here again.
