Perfect home for a weekend get away with friends! We have stayed at the Loft on the Knoll so many times, so we were super excited to rent the “big house” this time with our friends. Home was absolutely spotless and had everything we needed. Kitchen was well stocked with pots, pans, and those spices/things you always seem to forget when traveling. Basement was soooo cool with a ping pong table and corn hole boards. We were really happy to have two separate living areas since we were sharing with another couple. We each had our own space and did not have to worry about anything. We didn’t use the hot tub, but it was right there if we wanted to. We cannot wait to come back when the pool is open! Extra perk- seeing the cute baby goats! 10000% recommend!

We stayed at the Inn at Hampden Sydney for 5 nights while visiting our son at the college, and it was absolutely wonderful. The property is gorgeous – spacious, peaceful and completely private, with no other houses in sight. I especially loved waking up each morning and enjoying my coffee in the enclosed front porch. This was truly one of the most relaxing and comfortable Airbnb stays we’ve had. The hosts provided clear directions and instructions, so we didn’t need to reach out during our stay. We did speak with them afterward, and they were just as lovely and welcoming as the home itself.

There's so much to say about our stay at HeartRock! You instantly feel at peace when you arrive, and can feel how much love has been poured into this space. Everything about HearRock makes you feel relaxed and ready to connect with your loved ones. We stayed here for a friend's weekend and immediately felt at home. The kitchen is perfect for sharing meaningful meals, the porch is cozy for hanging out, and the grounds are beautiful to explore. We cannot say enough positive things about HeartRock - it is truly a gem and we cannot wait to return.

Would highly recommend for a quiet, relaxing weekend. This was a repeat stay, and everything was just as nice as the last time. Quick communication with Gwendolyn was appreciated, and everything we needed was available or offered.

We were only in town for the night, but the apartment was wonderful. In addition to having all the basics, there were wonderful extra touches such as mints near the bed and makeup wipes in the bathroom. The place had even we needed and more. The bed was one of the most comfortable I’ve been in. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Staying with Mr Jane was a pleasure. The location was perfect, the apartment was cozy and spotless. The place was well-equipped and the beds were surprisingly comfortable. This is a peaceful downstairs apartment with private entry and beautiful backyard with swimming pool. Mrs Jane was always available to answer our questions. unforgettable experience! We enjoyed our stay so much. The cabin was cozy and had everything we needed. We enjoyed our coffee in the mornings on the porch listening to the birds and the cows. Walking through the orchards and feeding the goats and donkey was a great surprise. It was the perfect get away to slow down and enjoy some peace and quiet. The recommendations given were perfect as well. We enjoyed dinner at Vito’s and lunch AND dinner at Woodruff’s Cafe & Pies! We will definitely will return!

Great place to get away and enjoy nature while having modern comforts! This place exceeded my expectations. Loved the holiday decorations and the personal touches that made it feel like home. Notes: They have a hard water softener, which makes the water taste metallic, so bring bottled water or a water filter. Also, it is secluded from major stores, so be sure to bring all your supplies with you.

I had a wonderful time, and would certainly return for another visit. The experience was seamless, productive, and rewarding! At the time of my visit, March, I was a little disappointed in the condition of the hiking trails. There were several felled trees on both the trails I attempted, but given the stormy winter we've had and the season I chose, it's hardly surprising. I will say, I look forward to enjoying these trails fully next time!!
