I spent a stormy few days here over my birthday while hiking around Scotland and was so thankful to have such a lovely place to rest! The huts are gorgeous and everything is in place to make the off-grid aspects easy and enjoyable! Celia and Philip are so kind, and extra props to Celia the saint for dealing with my mother and best pal as they tried to arrange some special extras to make my birthday all the better. Mull and Iona are so very special to me and this stay was a great part of my time here.

We were looking for a convenient home base for several half-day hiking tours in the Glen Coe area and we found so much more in the Hill View Pod! It was so cosy, clean, private and had all features we wished for. Most notably, Michelle is a superb host, very welcoming, warm and forthcoming. She also prepared quite a few recommendations for activities which you can read about in the pod. The location is optimal. Not only is it just a few miles away from many exciting hiking tours, but also the town of Ballachulish is worth exploring. The quarry, Ballachulish Peninsula and the Brecklet path through the forest have provided us surprisingly beautiful short walks. For grocery shopping, a Co-op is nearby. 10/10 do recommend! Simply perfect! Thank you Michelle for an amazing stay!

Een prachtig huisje in een geweldige omgeving. De omgeving was te voet goed te verkennen en activiteiten in de buurt waren goed bereikbaar. Het huisje zelf was van alle basisbehoeften voorzien.

I had a fantastic stay at the wee cottage! It’s a beautiful location with stunning views. The cottage itself was cozy and comfortable and felt like home away from home.

Great stay again our club have been coming for years. The area was tidy and there was plenty wood for our bbq. Good additional parking spaces, hot water never ran out despite >30 on the site. We will be back.

I had a wonderful 3 nights stay at Alyson’s cabin! She was very communicative and helpful throughout my stay! She even offered to take me to the nearest hotpital after a little accident I had on my hike! Overall a great experience and more! I would definitely recommend 🤩

Cozy and very comfortable cottages in perfect location for Glenn Coe activities. We felt like coming home from the first moment. They cottages are nicer than they look on the photos and also much larger. The location is great. They are located in the wood with a beautiful view into the wood from the large windows. Far enough from the road to be quiet and close enough to be easily accessible. The host is a very nice person proving useful information about activities and restaurants in-person at our arrival. The beds are very good and we slept very well. All was very clean and well maintained. Definitely a place to come back.

Absolutely loved our stay at The Rut! Amazing location, really quiet and peaceful, the space was really clean and had everything we needed. The sourdough bread and wine on arrival was such a nice surprise and we even got some fresh eggs, milk and butter left in the fridge. Was really sad to leave today and would definitely stay here again. Communication with Jo and Rory was really easy too, thanks so much!

In der schnuckeligen Hütte gab es alles was wir brauchten und es war sehr gemütlich. Die Temperatur konnte sehr einfach eingestellt werden. Ewan und Taryn waren sehr freundlich, hilfsbereit und haben immer schnell geantwortet. Auch mit dem Zug konnten wir die Hütte sehr gut erreichen. Es ist eine sehr schöne Gegend zum Entspannen und Wandern. 5 min zu Fuß entfernt von der Hütte gibt es einen kleinen Supermarkt, der aber alles hat was man braucht. Es war eine sehr schöne Zeit!

Sehr schöne und gemütliche Unterkunft. Wenn es draussen kalt und regnerisch ist, macht es Freude den kleinen Ofen einzufeuern.

Very cosy, impeccably clean and well-equipped space. Perfect for colder autumn nights. Easy to find and walkable to Port Charlotte for restaurants.

Amazing stay at the Sheep Shacks, lovely and clean inside and an amazing hot tub. Amazing hosts too and they had endless recommendations for things to do around the area and even menus for takeaway etc! Would recommend to anyone, a great holiday thank you so much to the hosts!

Pod was excellent, as described! Location absolutely perfect, very easy, clear instructions on how to get to the pod and also how to self check in. Would 100% recommend, well worth the money and very reasonable. Will be back :)

we had an amazing stay at the chalet. it was so remote, I am grateful I read the reviews beforehand and saw someone say to go with everything needed as the nearest shop/town is over an hour away! perfect place for us, would definitely stay again. check in etc was very easy.

I enjoyed a comfortable night in this warm little house that was very generously provisioned by the hosts. The house is in a lovely part of the country and it is quietly tucked away up a single track road so you can be guaranteed a peaceful night. I enjoyed some lovely home baking and breakfast eggs from the adjacent chicken run. The hosts had provided very clear directions and I found it very easily. The hosts were very welcoming. I would stay again.

We had a great time in this beautiful, cosy cottage in the woods. Very well equipped and we loved the wood burning stove and all the artwork. The cottage is a 5 minute walk from Kilfinan forest trails. We will definitely be coming back

Our stay at the pod was amazing! The view is breathtaking, the sunsets were really beautiful. We loved being in the middle of nature with the company of sheeps and rabbits in the fields around. Helen was very nice and welcoming. The pod was quite spacious for two which was great and it is very functional and confortable. We would love to come back to visit further Islay.

Had a lovely few nights stay here. We arrived late and the fire was lit for our arrival. The breakfast supplies were helpful. Many walks and cycle paths from the cottage.

‘ The Promise of Pleasure ‘ Not only did this property 100% match the description and images but it exceeded expectations with the views and peaceful surroundings. The attention to detail in all areas of the property was outstanding and they have created a cosy private space with the most incredible views, the touches that Hazel added for my wife’s birthday were so thoughtful as were the handmade gifts and card. I would totally recommend coming here to be just far enough off the grid to be secluded but still have amenities and restaurants close by. What a special place you have made here for so many to enjoy and I look forward to our next visit as does Murphy our dog 🐶
