We loved this place! We enjoyed the hot tub and having Sam’s Pizza right next door. The lighting in the bathroom was also great for doing makeup. Our only recommendation would be to add a full size mirror/body mirror…. however this did not take away from the stay as the house perfectly utilizes the space available. Billy, the host, quickly responded to all of our messages and even notified us that the house was ready to be checked in to 45 minutes early than the original time! Would definitely stay again and would recommend to others.

We had the best weekend at this cottage. The location was ideal for walking downtown. The space was exactly as listed, which is an oddity these days! We definitely would recommend and plan to stay again!

Great place for a get away. Not as secluded as I thought, literally right off the highway. Host was very responsive, there was a problem and they were out to fix quickly. Check in was great, place was clean and very well kept. Fishing was good, caught multiple species.

The cottage had something for everyone. If you wanted to watch the sunset there was porch for that. If you wanted to watch the sunrise, there was a porch for it. There was a hot tub for use, however, I was too busy with grandkids that I didn't get to enjoy that amenity. The cottage was decorated beautifully and well stocked. Great place to sit back and to relax. The beds were super comfy. It was a perfect location just a few miles away from my grandchildren, and short drive to town. I enjoyed having my morning coffee and watching the cows and the farm cats roaming around.

Such a quaint cabin tucked in the woods, but in town close to shopping/dining. We loved the location as well as the quirkiness and character of it. This is an old cabin with uneven floors and older windows/doors, but it just adds to the charm. It was quiet, clean, and very comfortable! We enjoyed soaking in the hot tub on the porch after walking around town all day. Be cautious: Not for anyone that has mobility issues as the steps/walkway are uneven and kind of steep. We would definitely love to come back and stay here again!! Great value and location.

Overall, this was an incredible stay. We had the lake basically to ourselves, largely because it's winter, but also the remoteness of this group of cottages. The walk to the water was great and peaceful through a wooded scenery. Lots of winter wildlife and just really nice.

Allison is an outstanding host. I’m a repeat customer and always pleased when I stay here. Great communication, helpful instructions and very responsive. The house is convenient to all things in Springfield, and easy to find. No detail is overlooked. Extremely clean and well appointed Airbnb. I personally appreciate the decor. It makes for a peaceful place to stay while away from home. As someone who frequently stays at Airbnb’s I strongly recommend the Sunshine cottage!

We enjoyed staying here while we visited our son who is a student at S&T. We were able to cook meals and visit comfortably in this well-appointed home. We enjoyed the character of this older home and appreciated the convenience. Much nicer than a hotel! Thank you!

The home is beautiful and wonderfully situated near the city. The home is charming and the hostess is simply the best. Will definitely be coming again soon.

Perfect for our 3 day stay. Comfy, warm, felt like home. We spent lots of time on the back porch overlooking the lake.

Wonderful, cozy place in a quiet neighborhood. Can't remember if this was in the description, but while the bed is small there is a pullout mattress underneath. That was clutch. I only have one thing to say that isn't positive: I'm 6"1', and I didn't really fit in the shower. Fair warning. Otherwise, this is a good spot with a great host. I would stay here again. Thanks!

My husband and I loved our stay here! We booked a weekend getaway here for his birthday weekend. It was so nice and peaceful. It was far enough away from town that it could be quiet and romantic if we wanted it to be, but not too far away if we wanted to head on over to see the excitement on Spring Street. We also spent a day hiking some very beautiful trails near by! Would definitely recommend .

I booked this place for a visiting preacher and his wife. They commented that it was very clean and comfortable. The instructions were also very helpful. The price and the fact that everything was one level was what initially attracted me. Our visiting guests were very happy with the accommodations. Thank you for making this a comfortable place to stay.

Overall I’m happy with the listing and reservation. The power had randomly went out but Brooke was very communicative and quick to provide alternatives that would help. Brooke gave me some extra time to check out regarding the power going out which was great. Great area and good price for what other hotels offer around the area! Thanks again for hosting us! :)

My husband and I needed a quick little get away and this was absolutely perfect. We sat on the porch swing listening to the stream just soaking in all the nature around us. I would definitely stay here again.

Had a lovely time staying here! The surroundings were beautiful and peaceful, but still close to lots of activity on the Lake. It was the perfect place to relax and refresh after a busy season. Brian was extremely helpful and communicative, and really went out of his way to help us with anything that came up. Would definitely stay again! Just a note for any who have trouble navigating stairs- there are a lot of stairs on the property (to get in the cabin, then inside to get to the bottom level, and quite a bit more outside to get to the pool and dock). This wasn't a problem for us, but it would have been for some family who almost came, so wanted to share it in case it's helpful!

I absolutely adored this stay. My first tiny house experience, but exceeded my expectations. I found it cute and cozy, and adorably decorated. Kimberly was a fantastic host. She was proactive in providing directions, including pictures, since there was local construction causing detours. She left fresh fruit, bagels, cream cheese, and so much more in the kitchen to make us feel at home. I also really appreciated the standard early check-in (11am) and late check-out (4pm). I had a meeting the day of check-out so it was nice to not have to hope I would be permitted a later check-out. It's also nice to be able to squeeze that last bit of time out of my trip.
