Great stay here in beautiful Rarotonga. House was perfect for our needs with 7 adults and one toddler. Walk to the lagoon is literally 3 minutes and is perfect for young kids. The surrounds and gardens were also peaceful and private. Thanks so much for sharing your home with us. Highly recommend for a larger group.

I had a very comfortable stay! The accommodation had towels, a hairdryer, a refrigerator, and purified water, so I didn’t feel any inconvenience during my stay. Room 3 had a small fridge inside, but the room I stayed in (Room 2) didn’t have one. Bicycles and scooters are also available for rent. Since the accommodation is right by the sea, I could fall asleep to the sound of the waves at night. It was a very relaxing experience. The hosts were all incredibly kind and welcoming. I’m really glad I chose to stay here. Thank you so much!

If we lived in Auckland we’d be here once a year. I’ve never stayed in a more beautiful location (I am comparing with beachside resorts in Rarotonga as well as other popular tropical destinations). When we were at Lisa’s place all our stresses melted away. We felt right at home. I agree with earlier reviews, that the photos don’t do it justice, you’ll have your see for yourself, and feel for yourself what it’s like to wake up to that view and the sound of the waves every morning. We also loved Lisa’s dog, Lola, cat, Papua, and the adorable baby chickens, ducks, etc, as well as flowers and butterflies. Definitely get a car or scooter(s) to get around. Then you’ll have it all, a serene peaceful getaway and the convenience of groceries, restaurants, etc. Otherwise we were frequently walking 30 minutes walk each way or you’ll need the bus which doesn’t come very often. We walked and it was fine but we did do quite a lot of walking. We can’t wait to come back to make more memories

13 of us stayed comfortably in Ian’s batch . The views were to die for . Beach just a few steps away . How lucky were we . If it s just a place where you come home to relax and sleep after a jam packed day eat and sleep it’s perfect. Even lazy down days sitting on the big covered deck admiring the views .

We had an amazing stay in this beautiful villa! The snorkeling right out the front was incredible, and the location couldn’t be better – just a short drive to Muri but tucked away in a peaceful spot. The villa was very well presented and thoughtfully set out, with a stunning deck view where we could relax and take in the ocean. We loved having access to the kayaks, and the kids especially enjoyed the outdoor shower after a day in the water. It was warm, but the air conditioning in the bedroom and the coastal breeze at night made it manageable. After spending over a week exploring the island and chatting with locals, we couldn’t agree more – this is the best spot on the island. The neighboring villa is so private we hardly noticed it. Highly recommend this beautiful getaway for a peaceful and relaxing Cook Islands experience!

You cannot beat the location of this place! It's right on the water, super close to Muri and amenities. Gwen and Jojo make you feel welcomed. We had an amazing stay.

Ian's place is a fantastic location - right on the beach. A fantastic deck overlooking the sea was the highlight for us - lots of BBQs sitting at the great big table watching the sunsets. The house itself was very clean (a bit tired but very functional) and was more than what we needed for a beach Bach stay. The snorkling out the front of the property was great and a short walk up the beach to the lagoonarium provided some incredible snorkling (we even saw a turtle). Ian happily made arrangements for us to check in at 2am and was easy to get hold of when we had questions. Would happily stay here again!!!

this place has a perfect location within 10 mins walk of two great beach bars and right on the beach. kitchen is well equipped, beds were good, and view fabulous

Fabulous studio with everything you need. Close to plenty of nice food options. Lovely to look out to the lagoon and the plunge pool is perfect to cool off in. Highly recommend staying here 💕

Absolutely lovely. The two totally private, walled in garden areas were a highlight. The room was well equipped and very comfortable. Rick, the owner, was delightful. Definitely hope to come back soon.

This was our first time booking an air bnb internationally and Anita and the Starboard Villa knocked it out of the park! From booking, to check in, even throughout our stay Anita was attentive and so helpful with recommendations! She helped us arrange our airport transfers and even hotel accommodations for the day we left (we had a red eye). The home exceeded our expectations and was even better in person! Everything was clean and had everything we needed. There is a little grocery store and cocktail bar (BJ’s) just a few doors down that we frequently went to. The location of the home was great- close to everything! The little red car was AMAZING and was a huge bonus! We paid our dept and got our money back at the end of our stay. We would 💯 come back to this property!

Beautiful stay in a glorious spot!! Great house, comfortable beds with lovely quality sheets & towels. Adam & Sarah were awesome hosts who went above and beyond to help us with whatever we needed. Really enjoyed our family holiday stay.

Wow, what an absolute treat. We have whanau living on the Island who said that this was their dream home. No wonder! We were incredibly surprised at the size of the property. Worked perfectly well for our whanau of nine. The perfect location with easy access to the beach, each room with its own ensuite, the whare had everything we needed. Air conditioning in the main bedrooms. Amazing views to wake up to every morning. We used the BBQ area one night, kitchen had everything we needed. There were a couple of minor things with the home (a sliding door not working properly, and a little worn in some areas) BUT that did not affect us enjoying the Villa at all. Jo and Mike were an absolute delight, being available if we needed them and letting us know if they were out. And big thank you to them. There were bikes, kayaks, reef shoes and snorkels if we needed them and we enjoyed the puzzles that were provided. Overall, a must stay if you're ever in Rarotonga. We will hopefully be back.

The hospitality was exceptional—Minar’s brother-in-law even dropped off the freshest pineapple and bananas, which our kids loved! Thoughtful touches like this, along with fresh flowers, made our experience extra special. The house itself is stunning, designed with absolute care and attention to detail. Everything from the lighting and outdoor showers to the refreshing pool and beach access was perfect. The air conditioning in the rooms was a dream, ensuring comfort in the island heat. As a large family with five daughters, privacy was key, and this home delivered. It offered the perfect mix of relaxation, luxury, and practicality—everything a family (or any traveler) could need. Minar, Louis, and their family are phenomenal hosts—kind, generous, and incredibly accommodating. Meitaki ma’ata & Nga

We had a wonderful time at Tepua's Pae Moana in Rarotonga. All was very well presented, comfortable, welcoming, and the house had so many helpful items to keep our days from sunrise to bed, more at home and enjoyable! The fruit, coffee, milk, spices, and dried goods to start our first day was such a boost. All furniture was comfortable and created an open space to visit and go outside, while still feeling part of the location. The kayaks and SUP, extra gear was fantastic! There was so much to do every day. Tepua's Manager Pamela was receptive and extremely helpful via Tepua prior to our stay, which was very reassuring. She does a great job keeping the house clean and ready for guests - to relax and enjoy the beautiful space and surroundings. Lovely vacation and special place.

Unless seeking luxury I don’t know why one might ever need more than this. Lagoon runs right to the deck but for a ribbon of white sand. Turtles and fish and clear water make for beautiful swimming and snorkeling in front of the house. Almost everything we loved that wasn’t at the location itself was close by. Friendly and relaxed hosts. A beautiful week. Will return.

We stayed at Villa Hoani for 7 nights as a family of 6 adults. It was absolutely perfect, loads of space, every amenity so well catered for, really comfortable beds and the aircon in the bedrooms was perfect for the warm nights. We found it so peaceful and private and the setting is just outstanding. Sebon was so helpful with any enquiry and really responsive. Great value for money and I would absolutely stay there again.

Fantastic place. The house had everything we needed (and beyond). A very big house with a lovely deck and garden, really enjoyable even on rainy days. There’s no aircon, but there are multiple fans that help the house stay cool. Perfect location too with a supermarket and a cafe just next door. Would really recommend!

We had a wonderful stay at Elizabeth's beach house. The place was well equipped, clean, and spacious, plus the snorkelling right outside our doorstep was incredible (there's also a place to rent all the equipment right there too) The bus stop to go in either direction was easily accessible, and there's a cafe right nearby as well which do great toasties.

From the moment we booked—just 15 hours before arriving in Rarotonga from the U.S.—Janna went above and beyond to make our stay truly special. She was incredibly responsive, answering all of our questions quickly and ensuring everything was seamless. Her Airbnb was spotless, beautifully maintained, and even stocked with thoughtful breakfast items—such a kind and welcoming touch! Beyond the wonderful accommodations, Janna’s hospitality was unmatched. She shared fantastic local recommendations that made our trip even more memorable and even helped us arrange a day tour, which ended up being one of the highlights of our stay. If you're looking for a warm, welcoming, and thoughtful host, Janna is the best. We can't recommend her Airbnb highly enough and would love to return!

Mary's place was just as listed and pictured. Clean and everything you need for your stay. It's right across from a beach with some of the best snorkeling on the island! We loved it our time there!
