Sandra’s house was such a dream. I went with my friends for 5 days and we had such a good time we didn’t even leave the property the entire time. The pool and outdoor areas were so nice, the views were amazing and you truly are in the heart of nature. We spend our days at the pool and nights watching the stars. The house had everything and it looks even better in real life ❤️ Sandra was super sweet and responsive :) we are looking forward to come back, maybe next year 😍 obrigada :)

Canelas is a beautiful town for a mountain getaway. We loved the beautiful views from the property and the pool was great for our summer visit. Arouca is a charming town and we enjoyed visiting the convent and the local shops. We took day trips to the beach in Espinho, Pesa da Régua to taste wine and port, and Porto. We loved hiking near the Rio de Paiva too. The accommodations are historic in feel but also comfortable. We were able to cook dinners using the utensils in the kitchen. Elisabete and Rosaria were very kind and easy to communicate with.

Lugar tranquilo com vistas incríveis. Tem um ambiente ótimo para relaxar uns dias. Boa piscina. Tem um PR muito próximo da casa. E tem gatinhos muito fofos!!

Excellent séjour à Cancela House! La maison est conforme à la description : charmante et atypique, cadre bucolique, calme, décoration soignée, bien équipée. Un petit havre de paix dans la petite montagne, au milieu des forêts d’eucalyptus. On s’y sent bien. Mention spéciale pour l’abri repas/barbecue très agréable, la charmante piscine avec vue et la jolie cour (avec super transats). Nous avons adoré le cadre et cette maison! Fatima était chaleureuse et réactive. Échanges très faciles. Si vous aimez l’authenticité, les hébergements typiques (et atypiques à la fois), découvrir ce coin de montagne, découvrir Arouca Geo Park (passadiços de Paiva + Arouca 516)… Allez-y !

La casa es agradable, muy amplia y limpia. Hemos pasado 3 días en familia con nuestra mascota y no nos falto de nada en ella. Las recomendaciones de Inés fueron muy acertadas y el sitio es tranquilo y fácil de visitar. El clima acompañó bastante nuestra estancia y nos amenizó las noches para dormir. Sin duda, la descripción de la casa y del sitio es 100% fiable y por supuesto, la recomiendo seguro.

Questo appartamento è un vero gioiello immerso nella natura. Circondato da boschi e torrenti, offre un'esperienza di pace e serenità unica. L'alloggio è confortevole e ben curato, perfetto per rilassarsi dopo una giornata di esplorazioni. La signora anziana che gestisce il luogo è straordinaria. È cordialissima, disponibile e sempre pronta a dare ottimi consigli. La sua ospitalità rende il soggiorno ancora più speciale. Nannecy made us feel at home even before we arrived! The apartment is nicely decorated and appropriated, in a great location, and with a comfortable set up. Walkable to many places, as well as easily accessible to public transportation. Would definitely stay again!

Location location location! The apartment is in Ribeira, right in the heart of Porto, extremely convenient place, bus station right in front of the apartment. Very safe place, walkable to places of interest. The apartment is very nicely renovated, everything seems new, very well equipped kitchen, has everything you needed for simple meals, kitchen appliances seem brand new and they are branded stuff, especially the electric water kettle is in tip top condition, without any water stains inside! That is superb! Ana and Pedro are very fast in responding messages, very helpful and friendly! Especially Pedro went above and beyond to help out some issues! A big thanks to Pedro for his generosity also! My husband and I had a great time in Porto and very comfortable stay in this apartment! Highly recommend this apartment, you won’t regret! Beautiful home in amazing location! Antonio’s place was incredible. More than enough space for family of 5 with really picturesque courtyards for enjoying the mild temperatures plus it was just across the street from the beach. The home was well-appointed, clean and had all we needed to make meals at home. It is a truly special place and Antonio was a wonderful, responsive host. We loved the restaurant he recommended. Can’t wait to come back again!

Ricardo’s home was lovely, comfortable, charming and well equipped. Wish we could have stayed longer. Would highly recommend !

To everyone who’s thinking of renting this house; if you’re having doubts, this is the sign to go for it. I’m speaking on behalf of my family and myself. We were a group of 8 who had the lovely opportunity to spend New Year’s Eve in this beautiful space. To start with, pictures don’t do justice to the gem you find when you pass through the entrance door. The house seems like it blends or comes out of the mountain itself. Maintaining original external features of what it seemed an old house that was carefully blended into the newer structure of the main house. When you enter you have the feeling of being at home and from any of the panoramic windows to the west side of the house you get the breathtaking views of the Douro river They’ve thought of all details and making it a perfectly functional house to not have to leave for as long as you plan to stay there. Having the breakfast service is also another extra service we were really happy to have thank you for the lovely experience.

Manu est une hôtesse très accueillante, avec plein de bons conseils sur les visites (caves sur le Douro....) et les lieux incontournables. A recommander sans hésitation. Le logement proposé est conforme à la description et dispose de beaucoup d'espace (très bien équipé et très propre)

This place is peaceful and surrounded by nature with lots of trees and singing birds, includind the chickens that create an "quinta" atmosphere. The accommodations were clean and cozy, and the hosts were incredibly responsive and caring. I highly recommend this countryside gem for a relaxing escape.

Jeff's place is something you rarely find on Airbnb, it is a really beautiful property located in a protected, surrounded by nature and a river, silent valley. It is fully furnished, equipped with everything you may need or expect, perfectly cleaned, and very spacious. The kitchens (both in the main house and in the pool house) are basically professionals ones, with bbqs, smokers, all existing (high quality) kitchen utensils. Absolutely everything. The warm pool is stunning too and we used it in November! Before leaving after our 4 days we were looking at each other eyes, still surprised by the beauty and quality of the place. I could go on sharing all the great things we noticed, experienced and lived for much longer;) Congrats Jeff, you are really a fantastic host! Congrats Jeff, you are really a fantastic host!

Fantastic property and hosts! We really enjoyed our stay and were made to feel very welcome. Local roads (narrow and steep) take a little getting used to, however overall this is a great property to relax in and we recommend it and its friendly owners!

We had an amazing family holiday at Casa da Loja. The house is a wonderful place to stay in a very scenic area of Portugal. There's lots of enjoyable touristy stuff to do close by in the region, but our favourite days were spent without needing to get in the car - walking, swimming, eating and drinking in the lovely Bestança valley. Or just relaxing by the pool with a drink and taking in the views. Jorge is a brilliant host, and his kindness, humour and great advice helped make our holiday. We all enjoyed meeting and chatting to him, and he went out of his way to ensure we had everything we needed. If you're looking for a peaceful break away from the crowds in a beautiful region, we couldn't recommend Covelas and Casa da Loja more enthusiastically.
