Had a lovely escape at Fernmount. You felt very remote, and deep in the bush, but we’re a short drive to the conveniences of Bellingen. The kids had a fantastic time, hunting for frogs, possums and insects. Andy was a fantastic host, great communication through the whole process. It’s a lovely little slice of the world, and I hope to come back some time soon. Many thanks!

We had an absolutely wonderful 3-night stay at this beautiful property with two families, each with a young child. The home was impeccably maintained and had everything a guest could possibly need – from a well-equipped kitchen to a lovely backyard that the kids absolutely loved. A few hours before our check-in, the washing machine broke down, but Cheryl, the host, went out of her way to have it fixed before we arrived. That thoughtful gesture really stood out and was much appreciated. The house is in a quiet and peaceful location, yet conveniently close to the beach and shops. We all had a very comfortable and memorable stay – would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway. Thanks again, Cheryl!

Daniel was a great host and very understanding when told that my stepfather had accidently taken the key home with him which is 4 hours away. Response time to messages was always fast. The property itself was in the most perfect place and had everything we needed. Definitely would stay again.

This was our fourth stay at Misty River Lodge and won’t be our last. My family, including our little Jack Russell Terrier, loves Helen and Craig’s place. I especially love seeing how the gardens have evolved. We enjoy visiting the beaches up and down the coast — Scotts Head is a favourite — and we love to find new places to eat. Coffs Harbour is only a 45 minute drive north and South West Rocks is just 30 minutes south, so it’s a really central location and close to the highway but so quiet and peaceful. The bird song is relaxing and if you’re an early riser, you might even see the local swamp wallaby down near the creek. We were treated to fresh quail eggs, deliciously sweet tomatoes and tasty vegetables from the garden. As Helen said when we arrived… “Welcome home!” … because it does feel like a home away from home.

We love coming to Broomshead to relax by the seaside. Beach haven was the perfect spot for 2 families to unwind and enjoy each other’s company while also having space to find time alone. Plenty of comfy spots to read a book on the wrap around balcony and enough space for the kids to happily play footy in the yard and handball too! Conveniently just across from the beach which was so handy when needing to pop back for lunch before heading back for more beach time in the afternoon. Excellent location and little touches from the host with coffee pods and laundry detergent provided as well as some staple items for cooking and plenty of crockery/pots and pans! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hope to visit again soon!

This is my third time staying at Norfolk Cottage and it’s just so relaxing and peaceful. Everything is well laid out and beautifully styled. The check-in and out is really easy and we felt at home. Brooms is such a great spot too. Thanks Rachel - we’ll be back!

The home was neat tidy and gave us room for relatives to drop in. Appreciated the cot and high chair being available. Price, I thought, was a little high but was the only one available with the space and bedrooms we required.

Lovely, comfortable home so close to the beach. Quiet & comfortable with absolutely everything provided. I would highly recommend staying here & very pet friendly.

Great spot between Brisbane and Hunter Valley for both our families to meet. The house was spacious and clean and had everything we could need during our stay, including a pool and large backyard and it was dog friendly. We'll definitely come and stay again in the future.

Lauren and Andy were great hosts! Super helpful and we’re happy to lend us a garment steamer on short notice. So lovely, we learnt about Big Red (the resident wild parrot) and LOVED being greeted by their dog, Evie, and her wiggly bum :) 10/10 would stay for a week next time

It was a very neat unit, the instructions were pretty clear and we had all we needed during the staying, felt like being home indeed, even we could not take our furry kids to travel but deeply touched by the in-house preparation for the guests who travel with their furry babies, hopefully we will come back to visit here again. The beach distance was walkable, we enjoyed the morning walk along the beach, easy to access the town center and many food/beverages choices. All in all, highly recommended Lyn and Peter’s place:-)

We had a fantastic family stay at Kim's Airbnb! The thoughtful extras, like the welcome snacks and cozy blankets, made our experience feel extra special. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, perfect for our family getaway.

What a beautiful surprise. We actually thought we were at the wrong place. Driving in to the most beautifully kept surroundings , with beautiful wildlife guiding us in. we were pleasantly surprised we were at out little home away from home . this place is better than pictures. So clean. so private, so comfortable. Well stocked with all we needed. I will definitely be back to explore more of the surroundings . Carly was so helpful and it was just what we needed. A place to escape the world. One of our favourite B&B ever ❤️

What a beautiful little piece of paradise. The perfect break in our drive between Sydney and Brisbane. Kids loved swimming in the creek, meeting the horses and cows. Dinner at the local pub was super fun too! Michelle and her family the perfect hosts.

We couldn't have had a better experience with Samuel's place. The cottage is spaciously situated on a sprawling, well-groomed property, patrolled by chickens, and set the perfect distance away from the main house to enable a good sense of privacy alongside help being at the ready if required. The house itself is so beautifully fit out; maintaining the old cottage charm with a modern reimagining that was aesthetically delightful and with no compromise on functionality or creature comforts. Samuel was such a lovely host - a very swift and easy communicator, who generously accommodated a couple of requests we made, as well as offering an additional night at a discounted rate, which some of our crew were all to happy to take up! Couldn't recommend more highly.

We had a great stay at Cookies. The location is perfect for the beaches, local restaurants and shops. The house is extremely well set up and very comfortable. Our dog enjoyed being out in the garden and it is very secure. The local off leash dog beach is only a short walk away which was perfect. We would love to visit again.

Absolutely loved this cozy little cabin near Emerald Beach! It’s got everything you need for a comfortable and relaxing stay — air con, internet, a TV for when you just want to chill, and even a fully equipped kitchen to whip up a quick meal. It’s super close to Look At Me Now Headland, which is perfect for a morning walk or sunset view. The whole vibe of the place is peaceful and homely, and I genuinely love it. Would definitely come back again!

Communication was good with Annelies and the property just about suited us down to the ground. It is comfortable and well equipped. The two bedrooms were a bonus. We were more than happy to sit on the balcony watching the birds with the odd baa from the sheep down the hill. Liked the King Tide brewery in town for the beer and food. Would love to stay again in the future.

We stayed at Alex’s place for 3 nights as a family of 7 with an infant using the port-a-cot provided. We fit comfortably and cosy, and made use of the outdoor bbq area every day. Alex’s place felt like a home away from home. A welcome bottle of Shiraz on the table and an early check in was a great way to start our time in Bellingen. Thanks again, they’re great hosts.
