Super good location, great restaraunts and stuff to do walking distance away. Hilda is super sweet and her place is incredibly nice and spacious! Nearby to a bunch of spots with wifi also and a 24 hr cafe.

During our visit to Tanzania, we traveled the entire length of Zanzibar; spent weeks on the shores of Dar Es Salam (haven of peace) exploring it''s offerings. But then we came to Mama Simba and Upendo's place. This was our haven of peace. Upendo coordinated just the right activities for both our fifty something year old selves and our family in their early to mid twenties. This was more than a place to stay. They helped to shape an experience. We explored caves and learned local history. We trekked down into a valley to stand beneath the largest waterfall in the region. We picked, shelled, roasted and grinded our own coffee right from a farm. And of course there was "Kili". Each morning we would be greeted with the same warm smiles and a different delicious breakfast. When we scheduled to dine-in they prepared wonderful meals. We were also directed to some great local spots for both casual and fine dining. Inside the villa, the garden was peaceful and beautiful. The weather and the layout combined to have us relaxing outside in the common spaces each evening rather than just rushing into our separate rooms. Family members shared how they were able to read, relax, write, meditate and receive inspiration. The showers were hot. The staff was friendly and helpful. What a great escape. What beautiful people. This was a last minute booking but if it was possible we would have stayed longer! Such a nice host extremely accommodating and helpful with whatever we needed. I appreciate how we were treated made us feel at home instantly. I would recommend this for sure ! The location is perfect and the room is clean and comfortable as well

Wonderful place, with an important mission. The rooms are simple but clean and comfortable. The location is great , just a bit outside of town in a nice quiet area. Sitting on the beautiful terrace underneath the palm trees was so relaxing. Highly recommended . We will come back for sure next time !

Le logement proposé par Esther correspond tout à fait à la description. Je me suis tout de suite senti accueilli comme chez moi. Esther est venue me chercher gratuitement à la gare routière, ce que j'ai beaucoup apprécié. N'ayant qu'une boîte de conserve à disposition le premier soir et n'ayant envie de descendre en ville, Esther ma gentiment proposé un petit encas de son frigo. Petits déjeuners simples inclus dans le prix. Discussions très intéressantes avec les membres de sa famille. Le wifi ne fonctionnait pas, mais ce n'était pas grave car j'avais une carte SIM. Je recommande cet hébergement 🙂

It's a great place and I would recommend to people who travel to Arusha. The staff is really nice and helpful. Also, the place is locally owned and concerned about the community and nature.

Mama Simba and her team in Moshi are great. They not only provide a wonderful, hospitable place to stay, but they give back to the community. If you are looking for a place in Moshi, this is the place to stay.

Wir waren froh, als Afrika- Neulinge so viel kompetente logistische Unterstützung zu bekommen. Die Arbeit von Mode than a Drop hat uns gut gefallen. Wir haben uns heimisch gefühlt. Dank an das Team.

Richard was a wonderful host and made us feel part of the family. He was very interesting to speak with and showed a genuine interest in discussing our experiences of UK and Tanzania society. Neema was a delight- very friendly and anxious to please. Poza Palace is a lovely and safe place to stay with beautiful gardens. We hope to be back!

Über eine Woche waren wir hier im Hotel in der 5. Etage. Wir haben uns immer gut betreut gefühlt. Der Manager Timoté löste unsere kleinen Anliegen in unserem Sinne. Am Anfang hatten wir Angst wegen der vorherigen Bewertung und dem Lärm von der Bushaltestelle. Es ist nur eine Seite des Hotels der Bushaltestelle gegenüber. Sicherlich ist es im Stadtzentrum nicht so ruhig, wie im Wald. Der "Lärm" ist eher ein Grundrauschen, wie für Innenstädte eben typisch ist. In den oberen Etagen genießen Sie den Blick über die Stadt und haben ebenfalls die notwendige Ruhe. Danke an das Team für den angenehmen Aufenthalt.

Sophies Unterkunft ist gehobener tansanischer Standard. Sie ist sehr sauber, sicher und sehr gut ausgestattet. Die Bäder sind für tansanische Verhältnisse sehr gut und für mich absolut in Ordnung, allerdings nicht auf deutschem Niveau - das muss einem aber bei einem Tansania-Aufenthalt klar sein :-) Die gute Unterkunft selbst ist bei Sophie aber nicht unbedingt das Besondere...Ihre Gastfreundschaft ist das Highlight. Wir wurden quasi Teil ihrer Familie. Herzlichst aufgenommen und stehts mit allem versorgt. Es gab tolles gesundes Frühstück, ein speziell für uns organisiertes Abendessen, das Taxi wurde organisiert und Safaris bietet sie auch noch an. Tansania für Genießer, die neben dem Land auch die Menschen kennen lernen wollen.

Osward's family was so kind and welcoming! The home is in a village that is about 20 minutes from town, but very worth the trek out from Arusha. Osward's sisters showed me around the village, and there's a gorgeous river running through the area. Would highly recommend for a more intimate experience.

I arrived just after the Kilimanjaro Marathon and Samson was kind enough to allow me to join him and his friends at the afterparty which was really an amazing experience of live music. Though I didn't go to the Materuni Waterfalls on his tour in the end, he did facilitate a guide for me and the coffee tour was a fantastic experience too. On the last day he took me on a bike tour of Rau forest where I was able to see several monkeys including blue monkeys, hear the calls of baboons and get a clear view of Kilimanjaro. If you want to climb Kilimanjaro for any length of time, I recommend booking on a group tour well in advance if you want something affordable. For the time I had of 2 days in Moshi, the activities were perfect.

we had a delight stay here . Anthony, Sophia and Cherie (the hosts) were incredibly welcoming and accomadating, making us feel at home. They provided a comfortable and hygienic environment with inhouse plants and art. The lovely outdoor space added a charming touch to the experience. Make sure you checkout the arts/beadowork and support the charity work the host us doing in Moshi.
