What a hidden gem of a place! We feel so lucky to have found Stable Oak Cottages and to have spent New Year there with our family celebrating our sons 18th. The place was gorgeous and the hot tub such a treat! The alpacas were great entertainment and the luxurious little touches from bath robes and sliders, to home baked bread and muffins were just wonderful. Highly recommend.

Such a brilliant place- very clean, lovely hamper of breakfast bits left for us and obviously the hot tub! Quiet area, easy to get to Whitstable and Herne bay. Had a great time.

Stayed here with some mates for a business retreat and it was absolutely perfect. Stunning location, beautiful surroundings, gorgeous cabin, super comfortable beds, luxurious bathrooms and fantastic decor. Loved every aspect of it.

We had a wonderful family gathering at Tims’ place over xmas. Excellent location, close to Cranbrook and Tenterden. Comfortable sleeping for 12 adults. Loved the two downstairs double rooms with ensuite bathrooms. Great for elderly guests. Large well equipped kitchen for preparing meals. Great grounds with plenty of room for kids and dogs to run. Our 3 year old loved the trampoline. Log fired hot tub was fun but needed some attention to keep it up. Tim was responsive and his nearby staff were readily available to help. An excellent stay for large groups with young children and pets.

Very clean, bedding and towels smelled great. Hot tub was very relaxing, nice farmland surroundings and would recommend shoes/boots that can withstand the mud!

Outstanding! Jo's place is a real home away from home - spacious, well equipped - notably the kitchen - and within easy walking distance to Hythe town centre (and Waitrose). We stayed over Christmas so made full use of the kitchen to host a big group (we have family in the area). A fabulous time was had by all, and the hot tub proved to be a winner!

We loved our stay at the house. Our highlight of the stay was watching a movie on the massive projector screen and making use of the hot tub. Would thoroughly recommend.

Pauline was not only an exceptional host, responsive, friendly and warm, but her place was stunning. The location is beautiful and so peaceful. Watching the sunset over the fields from the hot tub was perfect! The cottage itself is a perfect size and just beautifully decorated and laid out. And Pauline has thought of everything. The little touches really made our stay. I can’t wait to come and stay again!

We had an amazing time at Kish and Fiona’s place in Margate. Plenty of space for 6 people, the house felt homely and couldn’t have been in a better location for us! Would love to stay again!

Great place to stay out of the hustle & bustle of Whitstable but a gorgeous walk in along the beach / coast walk - flat and easy for all. Really enjoyed staying in this area - lovely houses and beach feels very private. Plus the house is 3 houses down from the sea and upstairs bedrooms have great seaview. Very sociable space - 4 couples stayed and we had so much room to cook, eat & sit and the garden is a bonus.

A beautifully decorated apartment in a convenient and quiet location. Hannah was very responsive to my messages and we had everything we needed for our stay. As with many properties this age, the ceiling height was a little challenging in some areas for the taller members of our group but did not affect the enjoyment of our trip!

We had a lovely stay. The cottage was comfortable and had everything you would need. The location was perfect to pop into town, pop back with shopping and head out again. An ideal weekend getaway. Thank you

Nice little house. Pleasant decor. Excellent modern kitchen. 4 minutes walk to Whitstable high street and the seafront, with lots of Cafes, Bars and restaurants. It is probably more suited to adults than kids.

Such a beautiful place with gorgeous surroundings……. Couldn’t have been more peaceful only thing to hear was the birds in the trees. Very clean, beautiful cottage……. Little touches like home made bread and jam on arrival hosts were very polite and informative full of recommendations, would definitely recommend we will most certainly be returning ☺️

We absolutely loved our stay at The Stable. The photos when we booked looked amazing but in reality it was superb. The bed and settee were super comfy and all the TV set up was great. We had amazing weather for April so really enjoyed the little sun trap of a garden. The lights at night were so pretty. Going to get some for home. The kitchen had everything we needed. Little goodies left by Greg were very nice. Our little dog was very well behaved and enjoyed his holiday too. The stable is in good walking distance to everywhere in Southend. We walked miles both ways on the beach. Luckily we came before 1st May because after that till September dogs are not allowed on the beaches. And that would have been a game changer for us. All in all it is a lovely little cottage. Designed beautifully well done.

Lovely place very clean and cozy. Hot tub was great also very clean. Love the little touches with the eggs and orange juice. Will book again in the summer when the pool is open thanks for our stay.

Nice stay! Comfortable beds, clean rooms, thoughtfully laid out, well equipped, and so close to great walks and heritage sites. The kids loved the indoor pool. The chalet is probably meant to be enjoyed best in warmer weather but Neil provided enough space heaters to keep warm. The electricity is run on coin meter- took about 6-7£ for 2 days in February, could probably get away with half of that in warmer months.

I would happily give this an 11/10 rating. From the start, Larissa was approachable and friendly. The property was lovely, with quality fittings and furnishings. The location was ideal for visiting numerous places. Parking was right next to the property, on a large private drive. A welcome pack included breakfast cereals in jars, as well as fruit juice - a lovely touch. The icing on the cake for us, was that Larissa and her Husband had researched local WW2 remains, as well as cycle routes (as they knew that was why we were staying there), and left us a lovely letter with ideas of where to go, as well as relevant leaflets tied up with a ribbon - Above and beyond expectations. We had a few nights at Rea’s chalet during February half term, 2 adults and 3 little children. The chalet was such a cosy place, facing the sea, treating us with the sound of the waves to drift off to sleep. The sunshine in the morning was such an uplifting view. We had a peaceful time, the location is amazing- short distance walk to the beach, and the holiday park has everything you need for young travellers like a heated swimming pool, a shop with emergency wipes etc. Also, the kids absolutely loved finding the kids books in the book case, and some bath toys. The playground was right there next to the chalet. We are very grateful to have had the chance to stay there. Please note if you travel with little ones in winter months, the chalet may be cold to start with as it is not a lived in property, and the check in is after 4 pm, so suggest to pack thick socks and a warm jumper. If it happens to you, don’t worry it, will warm up in a few hours!

Excellent stay - very large & spacious! The game room was a hit for adults & kids! The two kitchens were very useful too. Can't wait to come back in the summer and make the most of the large lawn & pool!

I booked to stay at the cottage for my husband's birthday and it didn't disappoint. The communication between myself and Tim & Maite was great. They were always responsive and super helpful. The photos of the house don't do it justice. It’s such a lovely area and although you may see the occasional walker in the distance, you feel like your'e in the middle of nowehere. The hot tub was a great addition to the property, especially since the pool at the house was not available due to it being out of season and super cold, as explained prior to our arrival. We ( and the kids) loved the house, loved the fire, loved the hot tub, loved the games, We played the family edition of Cards Against Humanity and it was just a lovely relaxing family weekend away without computer games - it was bliss. The perfect setting and in my husbands words - it was the perfect find! Thank you so much to Tim and Maite for such a wonderful stay.

Simple, easy and cosy caravan with all the conveniences. Normally I’m Not fussed about WiFi but I had to work whilst I was there and having WiFi in the van was a useful touch. The place was clean and tidy and got warm quickly, perfect for a little autumn getaway.

Great house to spend time with friends for a 50th. Very close to Canterbury which has lots of great shops, bars and restaurants. Also close to Chapel down and a couple of stellar pub do lunch out dinner. The house was everything we needed it to be and the pool was perfect!
