We are located in beautiful Deep Gap which is centrally located to everything that our area has to offer. 15 minutes from Boone, 20 minutes from West Jefferson, and 30 minutes from Wilkesboro. We are 5 minutes from the Blue Ridge Parkway which offers numerous spots for hiking, scenic views, or just a good road to take a drive on. Don’t get duped into booking a home way off the beaten path when are located off of a main thoroughfare and have a flat driveway!

The Cottage at Helton Creek offers all comfort of modern amenities in a mountain getaway! The Cottage is nestled on 80-acres and was built around 1920 and completely remodeled in 2021. With four bedrooms, two bathrooms, ample parking, a vast yard, access to several ponds, and the Helton Creek, the entire family can get away in the mountains. This home is just a short drive from the famous New River, Grayson Highlands State Park, small-town West Jefferson, and the Virginia Creeper Trail.

Large gourmet kitchen with gas range & double oven, deck, fire pit, updated bathrooms, and well-established gardens and fruit trees. Located on a NC Scenic Byway yet still close to Boone, Todd, and West Jefferson. Near the New River, tubing adventures, and great hiking. Put your chair in the creek & relax.

The Cottage at Historic Sutherland Manor est. 1807

Helene update: the farm is undamaged and roads leading to it are passable. This farm cottage is located on a historic 40 acre farmstead behind a beautiful farmhouse (which is under renovation) with views of The Peak, Ashe County’s highest mountain. We are bordering Elk Knob State Park and a 10 minute drive to the park entrance. The farm is located in the historic Sutherland valley district and was built in 1807 by Thomas Sutherland.
