If you are looking for a private place to stay this is it. I did not take my boat this trip but if I had I would be extremely comfortable knowing it was safe. The mountains surrounding the house are beautiful. We rented a pontoon boat on Lake Watauga for the day (225.00) and really enjoyed it. Judson and Deanne were very friendly and made sure our stay was a success.

Great location for what we needed would definitely stay again

Me and my family were very lucky to find this hidden gem. We visited several peripheral cities pigeon forge, Gatlinburg, smoky mountains national, biltmore to only realize that this home and its view was the most scenic and peaceful. Of take local hidden roads they lead to the most beautiful rivers and mini falls. This was the perfect escape from busy loud cities, a place to decompress immersed in nature, where your kids can break away from their phones and live the childhood they should have had. Thank you Christie and Donovan for sharing your home and giving me and my family this opportunity to explore.

This house was so cozy and we all felt right at home!! Melanie was a wonderful host. Quick to respond and helpful with any questions I had. Truly a perfect place to get away and relax...between the AMAZING porch and the hot tub to the comfy and spacious bedrooms. The kitchen was well stocked. It was an easy drive to visit Blowing Rock as well. Anyone thinking of visiting the Blowing Rock area, you won't be disappointed in renting this place.

This was my second time staying here. Chris is always very nice and helpful. I’m looking forward to staying a third time ! Thank you Chris for allowing me to stay in this wonderful home !

Paul was so quick to respond to any questions I had. He was also very friendly and helpful. Heavens Gate, WOW, the name says it all. The cabin is so beautiful and very well decorated. When you first walk in, you're on the second floor. There's large sliding doors that lead outside to the deck that has the most amazing views of the lake. It is truly breathtaking! They have a very well equipped kitchen. It has a regular pot & a K-cup maker which came in handy. There are games, tv, great wifi and an awesome hot tub! The hot tub was hot and clean. We quickly unpacked, made a mimosa and jumped right in. That view, also amazing! The Wifi worked outside to play tunes while we soaked in the tub & amazing views. The road was scary for this FL girl, but you do get use to it. Also deer walked around the house and we saw an eagle. The beds were super cozy and there were plenty of dressers to unpack. The master shower was so nice. I can go on and on... just book it, you will not regret it!

Had two of are six people come stay for one night, and loved it and may plan on booking a trip next year.

If you are looking for a quiet place in the Tennessee mountains - this is the place for you!

The location was just 15 minutes from amazing hiking at Grayson Highlands State Park. Our cabin was right along a beautiful river and we had amazing sunrises. On the property there was lots to do, including fishing, tetherball, frisbee golf, and an amazing arcade. The cabin itself was simple and clean and perfectly met our needs. Couldn’t have asked for more. Lovely stay and would come again.

Great little cottage for a weekend trip. Perfect for a couple and nice if you have a dog with a fenced in yard. Great location getting to the Blue Ridge Pkwy or Boone. One thing I will say it sits right on hwy 421, but you don’t hear the traffic at all when inside the house.

Me, my daughter and her family spent a couple nights at The Stargazer recently. We really enjoyed our time there. The house is charming and the grounds are beautiful. Though we were there in early spring and the temperatures were still mild, there were still great opportunities to get out and enjoy some fishing and disc golf. The hosts provided extra touches, such as a basket of snacks, a s'more kit and a jar of mini candy bars that my granddaughters loved. I was able to bring my dog, and there were bowls provided as well as towels for him if he couldn't resist getting in the beautiful creek. The location is a little remote, but there were plenty of fresh condiments in the fridge and cabinets in case something was left behind. The fact that it was a little remote helps make it tranquil. We hope to visit again when the weather is warmer and will also rent the tiny home there that can accommodate my son and his little family. Great stay!

We absolutely loved our stay in this beautiful cabin. The place was incredibly cozy and felt right at home. It had an amazing view from the deck; we spent the vast majority of our vacation relaxing with the scenery. The town was fun to walk through, and there were plenty of walking trails as well. However, the best part of the experience was the wonderful hospitality of our host. She was kind, responsive, engaging, and agile. We would recommend this to any of our friends and would love to come back again.

The house is such a gem!! It was perfect for our family of 9 for Thanksgiving. We could have never left the house our entire trip because the main level is so cozy and comfortable. There is plenty of games and puzzles to keep everyone entertained. My son loved the little nook area with the bean bag. There is plenty of space to spread out with the 3 different living room areas. If you want a good workout - go for a walk! The house is at a higher elevation in the neighborhood, so you will have to walk down and back up. We hiked to Laurel Falls - that was another workout! Be prepared to drive a little ways to the grocery store. We brought most of our groceries but needed a few things and the next town is 25-30 minutes away. (Of course, there is always Dollar General that is closer!) Not many places to eat out. The first night we went to the Trading Post and the food was good and the people were so friendly, we stopped back in on our way out to say goodbye!

Went for a girls trip - 9 of us slept comfortably and loved our stay! Beautiful views and felt like we had plenty of room to spread out - the downstairs apt with a separate entrance was really nice. Porch was amazing! Brian was also an incredible and proactive communicator. Thank you for a great stay!

The cabin was a great little hideaway! We did lose power and have to leave early, but I suppose that's part of the risk of a cabin in winter.

Chris's cabin and property are beautiful! We loved having the river right behind us to play in with our puppy. Everything with the cabin was great, comfortable beds, fully stocked kitchen, plenty of wood for the firepit, charcoal for the grills, and an amazing view of the river and surroundings. Very private and very remote, I would strongly recommend having an SUV/all-wheel drive vehicle. We saw two black bears as we were driving back to the property which was fun to see (but glad they weren't any closer or on the property). Chris is very helpful with instructions for getting to the place, and was very responsive when we had questions. We definitely hope to go back and highly recommend this property!

Very convenient location, beautiful neighborhood and very nice neighbors. Hot tub was amazing ! Plenty of space for everyone. This truly is a great spot !
