We had a great outdoor forest experience, it would have been really cool if one of the water view yurts had a hot tub to rent with it. Overall great experience and would recommend!

Had a lovely stay even in the rain! Hot tub was amazing. The yurt was so cute and unique with a super comfy bed. We also had dinner there, which was delicious. Would go back again!

Cabot Shores is a fun and unique experience, somewhere in between camping and staying at a hotel/resort. We stayed in the Big Sky Blue yurt and it was spacious enough for two people and a dog. The yurt has an amazing private deck with a view, a fire pit, and a wood burning furnace. The staff and other guests are really friendly, the food is great, and guests can easily access a private beach. Would definitely recommend this place and would stay here again. Definitely bring bug spray, though.

Absolutely beautiful place. The breakfast was yummy, the barrel sauna was magical and the staff were very friendly and helpful.

Our time at the yurt was unforgettable. It was simply spectacular- one of those places that is so very hard to leave, a one-of-a-kind experience. The hosts met us at check-in, explained the specifics of this off-grid experience, and offered advice on ways to enjoy the surrounding area. We appreciated the level of detail provided in the correspondence beforehand. It was important to be prepared to carry water, bring linens, and pack light. We would love to return someday!

An interesting and colourful yurt. We had good time our stay was short but we had fun, especially using the little ferry to the beach. Dinner and live music was excellent, totally recommend this place to take a break while doing Cabot trail.

The yurts are warm and cozy, and the lodge was great with very accommodating staff! Definitely recommended for friends or family! We loved our night here!

Great stay, loved the yurt! If you are a warm body, during the summer months, a small fan will help you greatly. Note that the washrooms are located in the main lodge. This is a good compromise between camping and a hotel. Enjoyed our stay.

My boyfriend and I LOVED our stay at Jim and Kim’s yurt. This was the perfect balance of rustic, yet comfortable. The yurt itself is adorable and cozy. Jim and Kim kindly explained how to use the toilet and shower- both were kept very clean and worked perfectly for us. They really thought of every detail — wine and water glasses, white noise machine, pre-arranged fire wood and fire starter. The location of the yurts was ideal for us — away from the craziness of Bar Harbor but still very easy to get to the park. Jim and Kim’s local knowledge was also super helpful! Overall, we really appreciated the care and attention that Jim and Kim put into making sure we had a great experience and would highly recommend this stay!

The manager was so helpful. She sent a ton of instructions on how the property works as it is unique (in a great way). She was proactive and reached out to us directly. we also got there after dark and answered our messages to make sure we got to our Yurt. We were skeptical about the description of the bathroom and shower, but both are clean and very well done. Peaceful, clean, and delightful.

Richard and his partner were wonderful hosts! We thoroughly enjoyed our first experience like this. They were very proactive with the space and offering helpful information on the area. Would very much recommend this retreat!

We loved our stay in the Singing Bowls yurt. The yurt and surroundings were stunning. Large windows cover a quarter of the yurt and look out over a wide river, where we got to watch the sunrise and eagles flying over head. The inside is beautifully decorated and includes everything you'll need for a relaxing stay. There is a private outhouse a minute from the yurt, and it's got to be the nicest outhouse ever made haha Andrea and Clay are both lovely people. This is our second time staying with them (we were in another yurt last time, which was also gorgeous), and we'll definitely be back some time!

We had a great week in the yurt. Very comfortable. Good location to make day trips around the area from. One issue we had and something to be prepared for if you're traveling with a young child, it's very bright late and early inside the yurt thanks to the roof window.

Tom and Sharon have a beautiful property inside and out. They were friendly and communicative hosts and went above and beyond to provide us local recommendations to ensure that we could maximize our stay. The yurt was a luxurious retreat for us after days out hiking in Acadia National Park. The bed was extremely comfortable along with the other luxurious bathroom amenities that made it easy to relax and rejuvenate. Listening to the rain patter on the canvas roof while overlooking the fall foliage made for a magical experience. I highly recommend!

We loved our stay at the roundhouse with our kiddos, my parents and our 2 shih tzus. The girls are still asking to go back to the round house instead of home! It’s such a beautiful place architecturally, & Greg & Sara also provide everything you could possibly need, plus extra details like a doggy welcome bag, kids toys, and snacks for us on arrival. The beds are super comfy and all linens pristine, cozy and tasteful. We all slept great every night. We also all loved watching the birds at the bird feeder, and the kitchen and bathrooms were perfectly stocked. We came mid-winter but still found loads of things to do including the toboggan championships, the phenomenal Owl’s Head transportation museum, an escape room, gorgeous drives, some very cold beach walks, the Banff film festival, a piano concert at the opera house, the Farnworth Museum, the Rockland Contemporary Art Museum and lots of great shops and galleries. Lastly, every restaurant we went to was amazing, and we went to tons!

We had a lovely stay for a family of 4 plus two grandparents! Convenient location to the town and trails. Desiree thought of everything you’d need so you can just show up with your clothes and explore Acadia. We appreciated the fully stocked kitchen, bathroom amenities, sound machines, smores kit, SMEG, children’s toys, welcome basket and recommendations. We would stay here again!

Incredible place to stay while visiting Bar Harbor and Acadia. The yurts were close enough to the park and town to easily drive in. This truly was one of the cleanest Airbnbs I've stayed in. Heating and shower worked very well !

Staying at Jeff and Jane’s authentic Mongolian yurt was truly unforgettable! Their pride in maintaining the property and providing exceptional guest service shone through every detail. From the warm hospitality to the delicious breakfast delivered each morning, everything exceeded my expectations. I especially enjoyed the unique wood-fired pizza experience. Getting to know Jeff and Jane added a personal touch that made the visit even more special. I highly recommend this one-of-a-kind experience! Thank you, Jeff and Jane, for a memorable stay!

Magnifique endroit pour relaxer et vivre un beau moment sur le bord de la mer. L’hiver, il faut chauffer le poêle. Nous avons fait de la raquette et le coucher de soleil était à couper le souffle! J’y retournerai assurément!

We spent 2 nights in the Yurt! The bed was so comfortable and clean. The space was adorable and we loved being there! It was a very easy drive to and from Acadia National park! The skylight in the yurt made for a relaxing evening. We felt very safe and Kaitlin made our stay so easy!

We really loved our off grid yurt and the peaceful surroundings. The beds were warm and comfortable and so quiet at night. The food was beyond excellent, Ella Dubinsky and crew were the perfect entertainment, and I loved the jam session at the end. I will be back again, and for much longer!

amazing place to stay

Everything was as expected going in as the washroom was in the lodge part. The view from flying moose is amazing. Customer service was top notch as Paul ended up waiting for us even though we had a late check in and personally took us to our yurt in the dark. We rented a canoe and kayak and had a blast. The water is nice and calm inside the rock/sand barrier to the ocean.
