I was part of a wedding party for days-long wedding festivities up the road and Jeremy and Rae's Tiny House was the perfect retreat from the chaos – as well as a blissful place for us to do hair and makeup looking out over the peaceful paddocks! Jeremy and Rae are super lovely, helpful and friendly and I really appreciated the little extras – from chocolate biscuits in a tin, to bringing coffee while we were getting ready for the wedding. Highly recommend The Tiny House for a rural escape that's not too far from AK City!

We absolutely loved our stay at Mary Ann’s house, Ara Station! Mary Ann was incredibly kind and welcoming, and we thoroughly enjoyed her delicious homemade breakfast. She even provided some toys for our 5-year-old daughter, which she absolutely loved! The house itself is beautiful, filled with natural light, and offers an amazing view. It’s so peaceful and quiet—falling asleep to the sounds of birds and the ocean was perfect. We enjoyed walking to the lake and even further to the waterfall. The lake is wonderful for swimming, and Mary Ann’s recommendation to visit Fairy Falls was spot on—it was absolutely stunning. After a long journey, this was the perfect place to arrive and unwind. We highly recommend staying here!

Absolutely delightful stay at Lavender Hill. Very spacious, clean and tastefully decorated! Trisha was very helpful; providing local recommendations & offering animal feeding and farm tour sessions! Make sure to pop by the retail to learn about their amazing products! Would have loved to stay a couple nights more if we could!

WOW! what a unique place to stay. we loved the barn. very nice beds and great set up. plenty of beds and nice to have a second bathroom and shower. the kids had so much to do! animals to feed, games to play, video games, board games, kids toys, kids books. it was a dream. my kids seriously loved the animals and we appreciated Rory and his family for providing extra food for us to give to the animals. great hosts and great place to stay!

What a magical place!! We feel completely recharged after our stay at Emma's beautiful holiday home. A great getaway for every age, spaceous inside and out, and with lots to do, but quiet enough if you enjoy your tranquil moments. Emma is a fantastic host, very responsive and caring. Will be back in a heartbeat, absolutely love this place!!

We had an amazing stay! The place is stunning, peaceful, and perfect for relaxing. Everything was spotless and well-designed for comfort. Brian and Jenny were incredible hosts—warm, attentive, and thoughtful. I especially loved how instantly we felt at home. Highly recommend and can’t wait to return!

Our wonderful and attentive hosts, Sabrina and Jay, made for an excellent stay at their beautiful farm stay..the upstairs home-away-from-home was very well appointed and clean, with state of the art furnishings, outdoor patio view, and abundant supplies. VERY highly recommended to anyone with a good history for past AirBNB stays.

Agata's apartment was very clean and comfortable. He met us on arrival and was very warm and friendly. The views of the rolling hills and water from the apartment were breath-taking - very therapeutic to say the least. Ideal place for a getaway from the busy hectic city stressors. Very peaceful and quiet - ideal if you're looking for a place to rest and reflect.

Our stay at Coastal Acres Escape was nothing short of magical! This beautiful, peaceful, and homely retreat was the perfect place for our honeymoon. From the moment we arrived, we felt truly welcomed—with a thoughtful treat of wine and muffins waiting for us. The breathtaking views were unlike anything we’ve ever seen, and every little detail in the house had been carefully considered. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything needed for cooking, and the bathroom had all the essentials for a comfortable stay. The luxurious bathtubs and bath salts made it impossible not to unwind completely. The location was stunning, the home was exquisite, and Sarah was an absolute pleasure—so friendly and easy to reach. We couldn’t recommend Coastal Acres Escape highly enough and will definitely be back to relax and recharge again!

Absolutely amazing property. We loved every bit of our time here. The property was amazing, the kitchen was relatively well stocked, and the beds were comfortable. There's a little play house for my son and he absolutely loved it. There's also a sandbox and trampoline outside for the kids. The fun part was feeding the animals and collecting the eggs from the chickens in the morning, which was a new and exciting experience for all of us. The surroundings were amazingly lush and green, and quintessentially New Zealand, with perfect views of sunrise and sunset every time. I'm personally super jealous that the hosts get to live here full time. Check-in and check-out were fairly smooth and the hosts were super responsive and helpful. Cell reception is a bit spotty, so make sure you download offline maps to your phone and get your check-in instructions while you still have reception! We would definitely stay here again.

A large airy fabulous modern house for 5 of us ( there was going to be 7 and there is room for that many )attending a wedding nearby We had 2 nights in the house First one we just enjoyed the place and ate in A rural retreat

Thank you Helena for hosting us! The home is surrounded by very beautiful nature and peaceful stay. We love how we could easily do our remote work there with a very comfortable work chair and fast internet speed! The cows are also a joy to watch them trying to eat the leaves from the trees 😄

We absolutely loved staying in the cute caravan! It was super calm and almost felt like the only neighbors were some adorable chickens. Cozy bed, nice shower and beautiful nature wherever you were looking🌿 Donna was super kind and always happy to help, if needed. Would definitely recommend if you want to escape the city for a bit 🔅

We had a ball! My young daughter loved the animals, the kids room all set up with toys and the whole experience. Such a lovely place that was cosy and comfortable. Nous avons passé un merveilleux séjour chez Deb. La maison est très propre, très bien équipée. Tout est à disposition avec le souci du détail, même des petites surprises vous attendent. Nous avons fait plusieurs Airbnb et celle-ci est vraiment notre préférée. La vue est époustouflante si vous voulez être au calme et en pleine nature. Nous recommandons vivement.

Very nice and quiet place, clean and full of light areas inside, comfortable sleeping. Fully equipped kitchen with lots of things for breakfast and cooking, excellent devices throughout. The weather was just perfect, so cannot say anything about the aircon as it was not needed, but the double-glazed windows suggest that the place is well-protected against less friendly conditions. The host provided us with valuable info and was very easy to communicate with. Many thanks to Jason - it was a wonderful time!

Marvelous stay thank you Josephine and Nick and the full tribe of friendly dogs! Really grateful for all of our family including our grumpy old dog to be able to hang out together for a rare weekend of being together. Incredible stay, wonderful and super accomodating hosts, beautiful home and views and country surrounds. A special experience that we will never forget and hope to return again. Bonus being able to get to the Clevedon Farmers market on Sunday morning! Bonus sunrise warmth. Hard to pin down just one highlight. Thank you.
