The apartment is cozy and comfortable. The beds had pillow options which was very nice. The bathroom comes stocked with basic toiletries, one less thing you have to pack. The host respond promptly and recommended some great restaurants. If they need to open the garage (which you are above) while you are there, it is loud. However, this only happened once and they sent us a message warning us before opening it, which was very thoughtful and appreciated! With that said, I would definitely stay here again! We came to see the natural chimneys, a short 15 min drive away through scenic rolling hills and farms. Downtown Harrisonburg is a beautiful 40 min drive away and full of lovely little shops and restaurants. Note: when driving to the house, check that your GPS sends you on Bunker Hill Rd (SR-760) to Big Valley Ln and not down Fairburn Rd. There is a blocked and private driveway which connects Big Valley Ln and Fairburn Rd that appears on GPS as a legitimate road. P.S. don’t use Waze.

This home is gorgeous with the mountains as a backdrop. So peaceful with an outstanding view. Fire pit was great! Sally had all we needed to have a fire in the fire pit. The lower level, where we stayed is lovely! Very clean and decorated beautifully. We only stayed one night. Would love to go back.

This is our second time here and we love it! It’s very beautiful, quiet, peaceful and super comfortable and clean. It’s always great to chat with Pete and Kyle, and with 2 kids at JMU, we hope to come again soon!

We were certainly taken back by the breathtaking scenery and beautiful home. Charles and Cindy's hospitality matched equally! I could write a whole page about our wonderful experience. Simply put though, it was an amazing stay and we are already working on our planning our next trip back! Thank you both so much!

Amy’s place is adorable and close to many amenities. She was very thoughtful about items a single traveler might need (coffee cream, woo hoo)! It was cozy, quiet and beautifully decorated for the holidays. Amy answered all of my questions quickly and was very willing to provide whatever I needed. The setting is peaceful and next time I stay, I want to walk the back fields! A true gem!

This is my 3rd stay at Barbara's place, and I have enjoyed it so much each and every time!! I feel cozy and at home. It is clean, warm and inviting! Thanks for another wonderful stay!!

The location and space was perfect for our weekend visiting friends nearby. Would highly recommend Stephen & Esther’s place. The amenities make travel feel indulgent!
