This place is actually beautiful really a home from home place. We stayed at Birch lodge which was so warm and welcoming. Your surrounded by the sounds of nature day and night, which is very peaceful and serene. The hot tub is an added touch, where you can gaze at the stars whilst the bubbles surround you. I really valued the privacy of each lodge, which backs onto a nice green area at the back. Ian was most accmodating, awnsering any questions we had, but they made sure they answered most questions through the instructions that was left for us. Thoughtful. Sad to be leaving but Upthorpe Lodges will deffo see us again, when we want to escape the hustle and bustle of London, and connect with nature.

We had a lovely peaceful stay. The cabin was perfect for a relaxing few days. Very quiet and chill surroundings but plenty to explore in the local area. Felt very private and Vikki-Jo made us feel very welcome. Thank you!

we loved our stay here, despite the rain! The new pagoda meant we could still enjoy the hot tub. Our little ones loved it too! Everything we needed.

Absolutely stunning lodge, was exactly what we wanted. Very spacious and was bigger than expected. The hot tub added a little extra something. Everything you would need for a weekend stay. Fantastic surroundings, including the friendly horses that would come to their gate for a stroke. Beautiful location with a country park not far for a great walk. Overall a brilliant stay and would highly recommend!

Me and my partner haven’t a single bad thing to say , it was such a lovely peaceful get away with such a lovely little town like village within the area we stayed with a lovely cafe , lots of shops like antiques and homemade goods , mini golf and loads more the only downside was that I didn’t book for longer , the host was amazing I had to message as the WiFi went down at one point but this was because of no fault of the host and she messaged back within 30 minutes and instantly got straight on the case the problem was solved not long after , me and my girlfriend will 100% be back again soon , lovely stay can’t recommend enough .

The advert does not do this place justice. Absolutely beautiful retreat. A row of cabins at the edge of meadows with horses in, over looking a river which have trees and shrubbery between them so each is private. Wifi worked but was not needed as the signal was great anyway. Hot tub and entire cabin was pristine. Myself and my friend enjoyed our visit and were able to relax and unwind. Many thanks to Wayne for allowing us to check in and out around our work schedules. Thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and will definitely be booking again in the future.

Lovely, relaxing stay with 2 children and dog. Hot tub was a great hit. Enclosed garden area meant our dog was free to roam around safely. Very clean, exactly as described and lots of information provided from booking, prepping stay and during. Recommend for a peaceful chilled time with family.

Cosy cabin at a peaceful place. It is nicely equipped. Sue and Colin were super responsive and they gave us great tips for local walks and places where to eat. We had great time.

It wasn’t the easiest to find. Too k a couple of attempts. Especially because it was dark.

My husband and I came for a night away in Bradwell-on-sea with our 14 month old daughter, and had the most wonderful stay at Catherine’s cabin. The location was so beautiful and peaceful, right by the water, with stunning walks to the Marina and beach just nearby. Catherine was so helpful and welcoming from the offset, and couldn’t do enough to help us throughout our stay, which we were hugely grateful for, especially with a young baby! The cabin was so cosy, comfortable and clean; it was the perfect little countryside retreat for us. Catherine even left a slide and playhouse in the garden for our daughter to play on - which she loved! We hope to come back and stay again soon and would definitely recommend to our friends, or anyone else! Thank you so much Catherine.

We had a wonderful stay! The place was very clean, safe and lovely. Emily went out of her way to make us feel comfortable and the location made access to the sea very easy. Would highly recommend!!

Cannot recommend this brilliant Airbnb enough - fantastic but also non intrusive communication from Jenni, who went above and beyond to accommodate us. Such a relaxing and peaceful stay and pretty easy to get to from London. We hope to return!

We had an amazing get away from home to a cosy home right near the beach, views were beautiful 😍, home is right opposite the bar and restaurant and entertainment area and swimming pool for kids. Only thing was local shops and supermarkets were driving distance so if you don't have a car hard to get too but just be preferred with food storage if your not going during winter as entertainment area and bar restaurant is closed not in use, I should have booked it when everything opened which I didn't realise but going forwards I would like to visit again when everything is open as it was a lovely home and area to be around. We had an amazing Christmas at the lodge this year. It was so peaceful and it was lovely to be surrounded by the beautiful scenery. Georgie was a fantastic host and very responsive and friendly to anything we needed. We’d never been away for Christmas so we’re unsure of how it would feel, but it’s safe to say we’d love to make this a yearly thing! Thank you for an amazing time 😊

Alan was very helpful, friendly and accomodating. Him and Theresa went above and beyond to help us find the location and check in comfortably. They helped us with our food and were very easy-going hosts. Me and my partner had a great New Years Eve in their lovely home which was cosy and comfortable with scenic surdoundings. I would definately recommend Alan and would consider it a 10/10 stay and experience!

A wonderful one night’s stay. It’s a very cosy beautiful place to stay and is equipped with everything you’d need. A gorgeous pub just down the lane where a delicious dinner was enjoyed. Highly recommended! You won’t be disappointed 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟

John was a great host, he welcomed us and was very friendly and communicated from the start. The lodge is so peaceful, quiet and scenic. The amenities are great, only suggestion would be some light blankets as it gets cold and they would have been nice to sit outside with. We didn't stay long, only 2 nights, would happily have stayed longer and would deffo come again for race days. Lovely local pub 2-3 min walk away the Red Lion, beautiful food and staff were friendly.

A beautifully presented property with extremely comfortable beds! The surroundings were lovely, set in Gussy's family small holding. The hosts were lovely and extremely helpful even taking us to the wedding we were attending free of charge! We would definitely stay again!! Many thanks for a great stay and for the rhubarb!

We had the best time staying in the Mill House Cabin! We would 100% come back again! We didn’t need to correspond with the hosts much (which is because we had no issues so that says it all) however with check in and out, all instructions were clear and very helpful. The cabin itself is beautiful and the log burner is a lovely addition. The rooms were super clean and homely and the bathroom was also very clean and well equipped. The kitchen had everything you’d need for self catering and then some, it was very well stocked. They left a small welcome bag with a bottle of Prosecco, cordial, jam and other additions which was such a personal touch! There were walks around the area and plenty of local pubs and restaurants! We will definitely be rebooking and will be recommending to friends and family!

Had a really enjoyable stay at Freedom Lodge. A cosy home from home which was immaculately clean, well appointed and had everything we needed for our short stay. Lots to do on the Stonham Barns site. We especially enjoyed the Owl sanctuary and breakfast at Cafe 24.
