Amazing, it was the perfect place to stay for a family celebration. The house was modern, spotlessly clean and well equipped with lots of space to accommodate everyone. Antonina was lovely and very responsive to any questions we had and we would not hesitate to stay again. Thank you Antonina

What an amazing place!! The Annexe was perfect for our little family. Sharon and Paul were so unbelievably accommodating by providing a travel cot, high chair and baby gates for our little boy. We visited for my Birthday and there was a very tasty cake waiting for our arrival along with candles, and a happy birthday sign and card. There was also a welcome.basket with bread eggs, nibbles, chocolate and incredible local honey. The Wilderness Annex is definitely worth a visit, we had such wonderful time as a family and also as a couple. It really was a home from home and spotlessly clean. While we were there we visited the local villages and also went to Colchester Zoo which is a must do! Thank you to Sharon and Paul for all the extra little touches really made our trip that extra special.

Peaceful and quiet lovely views. Central to visit the Suffolk coast. The hot tub was a big hit and the log burner, made it so cosy. There were 10 of us, no children so the bedrooms fitted our needs brilliantly. Lovely big kitchen, so lots of space to use. All bedrooms good sizes. Definitely book again.

We had a great time at this lovely big cosy and spotlessly clean house. The weather wasn’t great but the kids still loved the garden, playhouse and swing, and we all loved the hot tub. Host was friendly and communicative.

A group of 11 of us stayed at Liston Hall recently and it was such a wonderful 2 nights. Firstly, the home is absolutely beautiful with the living room/ kitchen area being the perfect social space for everyone to relax in. The hot tub was a great addition and we had a lovely time relaxing in there. Would 100% recommend to anyone and come back! If you’re planning a group trip, this is a great place to go x

We had an amazing time staying in Tracey & Terry’s Annex. They were both great with communication and even put up birthday banners & Balloons for my wife’s 40th! There was a lovely welcome hamper with some essential bits waiting for us on arrival. A local therapist was recommended to us by Tracey, and she came to give my wife and her friend some pampering while myself and my friend went out on the Electric bikes (hired at a small cost) and visited a few local pubs. Terry was great with instructions and advised some great pubs to visit. The bikes were great fun! The hot tub was also great and kept hot by the fabulous hosts. Overall 10/10 and will definitely be back in the future. Thank you Tracey & Terry.

We stayed here for a two night break with no husbands or children and the surroundings were so peaceful and relaxing. The house felt very luxurious and Joanna was a brilliant at giving additional information. Bedrooms were lovely and comfortable. Would definitely like to stay again!

Cannot recommend this place highly enough. Marcus ensured we were very well informed before arrival providing a guest book with comprehensive information and recommendations. We were greeted with bottles of wine & the house was very warm & music sound system set up. The barn is absolutely beautiful & immaculate. It is in a very remote area but this suited us all as we were happy to stay in and enjoy it. The log burner, games room & hot tub were added bonuses. A big thank you to Marcus for a truly amazing weekend break away with good friends ❤️

A beautiful lodge to spend Christmas with my family. The hot tub was an added bonus. We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay and wouldn’t hesitate to book again. Christine was contactable if required and responded straight away.

This was our second stay at Janes, it’s the most beautiful spot to relax in peace. Jane is friendly and always on hand to help. The accommodation is beautiful and has everything you need. The perfect get away

Damian was a great host and the place was just amazing. We was three families with lots of kids and we didn't leave the house once. The gardens are so big and so beautiful, with 360 views, and the kids only came inside to sleep. The house was just as it is in the pictures and I think it had just had a mini makeover as you could smell fresh paint. The pool table was great for the adults and I think there was pretty much at least one person in the hot tub for the whole stay. We are already negotiating to book again for next Easter so hopefully we will be back soon. If you are looking for peace, quiet and privacy, this the place.

Where do I start? From the beginning Jane has been so amazingly helpful with organising a masseuse and activities that can be done in the area. Sourcing cupcakes for me and making this a weekend for my partner and I to remember. I have never ever experienced such amazing customer service before, i recommend everyone go and experience the serenity and the beauty of the villa. We will go again in the summer!

This place is actually beautiful really a home from home place. We stayed at Birch lodge which was so warm and welcoming. Your surrounded by the sounds of nature day and night, which is very peaceful and serene. The hot tub is an added touch, where you can gaze at the stars whilst the bubbles surround you. I really valued the privacy of each lodge, which backs onto a nice green area at the back. Ian was most accmodating, awnsering any questions we had, but they made sure they answered most questions through the instructions that was left for us. Thoughtful. Sad to be leaving but Upthorpe Lodges will deffo see us again, when we want to escape the hustle and bustle of London, and connect with nature.

We had a lovely peaceful stay. The cabin was perfect for a relaxing few days. Very quiet and chill surroundings but plenty to explore in the local area. Felt very private and Vikki-Jo made us feel very welcome. Thank you!

Amazing location nestled amongst the vines, beautiful views and a happy little frog who lives under the decking. Bring lots of wood for the Swedish hot-tub to avoid going out to buy more, you’ll need to fill the tub and heat it from cold so you’ll need more than we thought! We turned up with only 1 bag (whoops) but had the car so went out to grab a few more. We walked down to the vineyard reception where we met Adrian and purchased one of his amazing bottles of wine, it was delicious. Love this place!

we loved our stay here, despite the rain! The new pagoda meant we could still enjoy the hot tub. Our little ones loved it too! Everything we needed.

Absolutely stunning lodge, was exactly what we wanted. Very spacious and was bigger than expected. The hot tub added a little extra something. Everything you would need for a weekend stay. Fantastic surroundings, including the friendly horses that would come to their gate for a stroke. Beautiful location with a country park not far for a great walk. Overall a brilliant stay and would highly recommend!

Me and my partner haven’t a single bad thing to say , it was such a lovely peaceful get away with such a lovely little town like village within the area we stayed with a lovely cafe , lots of shops like antiques and homemade goods , mini golf and loads more the only downside was that I didn’t book for longer , the host was amazing I had to message as the WiFi went down at one point but this was because of no fault of the host and she messaged back within 30 minutes and instantly got straight on the case the problem was solved not long after , me and my girlfriend will 100% be back again soon , lovely stay can’t recommend enough .

Lovely, relaxing stay with 2 children and dog. Hot tub was a great hit. Enclosed garden area meant our dog was free to roam around safely. Very clean, exactly as described and lots of information provided from booking, prepping stay and during. Recommend for a peaceful chilled time with family.

Booked a long weekend away with my husband and two girls and had a wonderful time! I would 100% recommend Wakes Hall Lodges; the location is so peaceful (you wouldn’t even realise there are other lodges nearby!) lovely views as well. Check in was so easy and the lodge was spotless on arrival. The hot tub is a great feature and was so nice to relax in. Really spacious inside and comfy beds. I would recommend eating at the nearby Swan pub- food was great! Will definitely be looking to book again!
