I had a wonderful stay! The place was exactly as described—clean, comfortable, and in a great location. Carl was super responsive and made check-in a breeze. The little touches like fresh towels were really appreciated. The convenience store is just 3 mins away, Stanley park is 10 minutes walk, train station & city center is less than 15 minutes away with uber that cost approximately 5-8£ per booking. I’d definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area!

We spent only one night at Naomi’s place, arriving very late after a family event, but it was a pleasant overnight stay with super comfortable beds and a great shower in the morning. I left a necklace behind and Naomi and Darren kindly looked for it and sent it to me by registered post, for which I am very grateful.

Sandown House made our summer visit to the Lake District enjoyable. Space for our immediate family and extended family and friends. We nicknamed it the upside down house because the bedrooms are on the ground floor and the kitchen and living rooms on the top floor. Plenty of parking, walking distance to all that Bowness-on-Windermere has to offer. We think the on suite bathrooms are tiny, but we are tall people (6’and 6’4”) other than that plenty of space to stretch out. Lovely welcome hamper upon our arrival added a nice touch from the owners.

We loved our stay - this is an excellent dog friendly option for those having a short break in The Lakes . The dog treats/blanket and flapjack/chocolate we received on arrival were a lovely touch. The car parking space reserved for the accommodation was a great addition as well. The location is great - between Windermere and Bowness towns - which are walkable or a few minutes in the car. Steve and Vicky were easy to communicate with and ensured all went well during the stay. We would definitely stay again.

We had a lovely couple of nights stay at John & Carmel’s farmhouse. As a group of 6 who studied at the uni together, it was fantastic to have the farmhouse as a base for a couple of days of adventures. The garden area was lovely (especially with the sun we had!) for cards and sun soaking. Inside was spotless and there was everything we needed. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

The house was beautiful and big enough that we all had our own space when needed. The perfect base for us all to meet up and have a great weekend.

We spent 5 nights here at the end of March and start of April 2025. We were really fortunate with the weather and took full advantage of the wonderful location: scaling Slight Side and Scafell on one day, riding to Coniston via the bridleway on another and 'bagging' most of the Coniston fells on another day via Wrynose Pass. We ate in on a couple of nights and also went to the Wainwright's for some pub grub, as well as Stoves for their evening menu. Simon and Belinda's place is very well situated in Great Langdale for all kinds of walks and rides, food and decent pints. The house itself is a lovely place to return to in the evening with easy parking outside for our van and once inside, everything is spotless, well equipped and cosy. We really appreciated all the helpful information on bike routes and walking routes and spent the late evenings by the fire pouring over the Wainwright books planning the next day's adventures. 100% recommended.

Beautiful place with beautiful surroundings. Lodge was clean and ready for when we arrived, delicious restaurant on site too. Went as a couple for a celebration- would definitely recommend

Denise was extremely helpful and approachable. She took the time to send a few messages to ensure we were clear on check in. Denise welcomed us and showed us to the lodge. The lodge was super clean, well equipped and Denise even supplied the basic condiments, tea, coffee, juice, milk with some welcome biscuits thrown in! The lodge was also dog friendly. The kids loved their bed room and we were all very comfortable. We had a great stay and the lodge more than met our needs. We plan to return.

Beautiful little cabin surrounded by stunning scenery, with many great places to visit within a short driving distance. The cabin had everything we needed for our stay. Andy provided lots of useful information and tips regarding the local area. We'll definitely be coming back again!

Lisa's caravan was absolutely lovely. We had an amazing time, so relaxing. The caravan is well equipped with all you need. I just wish we could of stayed longer. We will be back

Our second stay at Tethera. Clean, homely, well-equipped and lovely touches lile the welcome pack. Just as lovely as the first time we stayed. We even got to feed lambs. Can't wait to come back. Sarah, Eleanor and Amber 🐾

I highly recommend this beautiful house in a quiet and peaceful location. Jill was an excellent host, helpful and informative and the house was spotlessly clean with excellent amenities. The surrounding fields had newborn lambs and free range chickens which added to the atmosphere. if you come across this property when looking for a place to stay, look no further and book it immediately.

What a beautiful cabin. Loved the layout and the decor. Very comfortable king size bed. Really nice to have the sink in a separate cubby to the main kitchen. Very nice stone floor in the shower and really quirky hot tub area. Hot tubs are a must for us when going away and this is one of the only listings with a tub in this area! Gorgeous magnolia tree and plants in the private outdoor area too. Yardi and Phil were so lovely and we felt very looked after and the location was just what we needed. Short taxi drive from central Blackpool. Felt luxurious and thank you for the extra refreshments and birthday sign!

Only stayed for one night visiting a friend near by , Lovely location and building , the spiral staircase was a slight worry after a few 🥂🥂🤪 Was great for taking my dog too outside area was gated so safe to let him have a wonder round off lead whilst we were sitting outside ! David and Patricia were lovely and nothing was too much trouble , answered straight away to any queries , and we even enjoyed a drink with them in the bar ! Happy days 😁

I took my 23 year old daughter here for a couple of days hiking with her pooch.. we had a lovely time, reallt nice and quite location. Amanda gives you plenty of useful information before you arrive. The hot tub stayed nice and hot yoo. We had a reallt lovely time and will definitely visit here again.

This spot is gorgeous, everything you could want from a little get away in the middle of nowhere. The house was adorable, the grounds were lovely. Already been recommending to all my friends. Well worth a stay :)

Charming cosy cottage in a nice village slightly away from the more crowded parts of the Lake District. Very clean and welcoming, large comfortable bed, excellent communication with the hosts Morven and Philip. Parking not right at the cottage but on the street just a minute away so not a problem. Highly recommended for a Lake District visit.
