Gypsea is a beautifully presented boutique hotel with excellent amenities . It is a short drive to the beach and all the best restaurants. It is close enough to everything that nothing is a problem. We have 2 young children ages 5 months and 2 years old the resort was very good for the kids and they were even able to put a pool fence up for us. The staff were incredible with our children and made our stay fun and relaxing. They really stood out to us, as exceptionally good at there jobs and all amazing. Thank you so much We will be back

Our first trip to Bali and our first hotel stay - we could not have been more impressed with the hospitality and comfort we experienced at Umakayu! We stayed for five nights over the new year period. Putu & his team were amazing, informative and always willing to help. Nicole gave us some great recommendations for new year’s and advice for our travels around Bali after we checked out. The villa was cosy, authentic and felt very private. There was some construction around the area but this is the case throughout all of Bali and it didn’t bother us. The hotel is walking distance to Batu Bolong beach which we did several times as the traffic was quite heavy given the time of year. Overall we had a fantastic stay and we would definitely recommend to anyone thinking of staying in the Canggu area. Thank you guys so much!!

Absolutely amazing! Jay and Penny are wonderful people and great hosts 🌺 they gave me good recommendations for caffees and beach spots to unwind and when i sprained my ankle were quick to help me making my life easier <3 the beautiful Cabin, very traditional and artistic ✨highly recommend! Side note: if you have sensitive hearing while sleeping i would recommend earplugs because depending on the day you can hear the clubs at night a bit. Thank you so much Penny & Jay!

Très beau logement, dans un endroit paisible et calme. Jardin verdoyant avec grande piscine. Tout est très propre et bien entretenu. L'hôte et tout son staff sont très accueillants et réactifs à toute demande. Restaurant juste à côté pour prendre le petit déjeuner et le repas du soir. Nombreuses plages à 20 minutes du logement en scooter. Je recommande à 100% ce logement !

This place is so private and beautiful. The pool and outdoor kitchen were my favorite parts of the stay, and the surroundings are just so beautiful and peaceful and quiet. The host is one of the best hosts I’ve ever encountered; kind and attentive. Even took us grocery shopping and always available to help with anything. Massage lady and cleaning services on site. Would absolutely stay again and recommend this place to anyone that is looking for a peaceful oasis in Sanur. Thank you !!

We stayed in the orchid villa together with our kids. We really enjoyed the rooms, the garden, the view of the ricefields and the private pool. The villa is in a quite area of Ubud, just outside the center. So you can walk to some restaurants, alchemy yoga and the spa’s or taxi’s and scooters are available on site. The staff is very friendly, they help all the time and have a good security system. They even looked after some of our bags as we travelled with light bagage to the east and North of Bali and picked it back up online way south. If you look for central place, quite and with all the service. Come here and enjoy your stay in Ubud!

My boyfriend and I really loved our stay. It was close enough to the city center and outside enough to have peaceful / quiet nights. The villa came with breakfast and we LOVED that! Everyone that helped us was so kind 🙌🏼

The perfect blend of access to urban Ubud life but a quiet location a bit of a walk from everything. The closest street with shops and cafes and massage (5 minutes walk from property) had a real village vibe, and was easy to get a scooter taxi to any event or restaurant in Ubud. Gorgeous property, I enjoyed my stay and getting coffee on site with other guests and the hosts. I felt like a princess. I was worried about no AC, but I stayed a month and was only hot at night once or twice. I was also surprised to see no screens on the windows, but in fact that is normal for Bali and the bugs were nothing like what I’ve seen in other tropical places or even at home in the US in summer where screens are a must. The semi-outdoor shower was a bonus! I stayed 2 other places in Ubud this year and this was by far my favorite. Stayed 1 month. Kitchen amenities are bare bones - if you really plan to cook you might need to supplement what they provide.
