We had a lovely stay in the cottage. Two adults and two pre-teen children. The children loved the hot tub. Quite a few walking trails near the cottage. This was our first air b n b stay and would definitely return. The cottage is clean and so many lovely little touches. We loved the log burner for the colder evenings. We used the hosts recommendations for dinner and visited the Carnarvon pub and also ate from the local takeaways. The location was perfect for us as we were visiting family. Also lots in the local area to do for all ages. Would definitely recommend.

What an amazing place Scott has , the location is perfectly located to many walking routes and so much more! We went out on a few walks and coming back to Scott's place was exactly what we needed , home away from home , hot tub to relax in . The apartment is beautifully decorated, spacious and very clean. Whatever your reason for staying there the apartment will certainly cater to that! We absolutely loved our stay, Thank you Scott and will certainly love to return again as we have a few more walking routes to conquer! Regards Gene , Rachel and Bentley

Beautiful and peaceful retreat. The hot tub and decking were clean and the views were amazing. Beautifully decorated with everything you could need. Highly recommend and would go back.

Beautiful accommodation with spectacular views. The cottage was spotlessly clean, cosy and nicely furnished. It had all the equipment we needed and also had facilities if a couple of guests were less mobile. Ideally situated to explore the Peak District. Sue and Terry were great hosts. We'd love to come back!

The cottage was perfectly comfortable for my family of five. We enjoyed being immersed in the going-ons of a working farm, including all the sounds and smells. Our hosts, the people on the farm, and all the animals were lovely and welcoming.

Excellent accommodation with quality furnishings and facilities. The kids adored feeding the animals and collecting the eggs. Farmer Vic did a great job and made sure all the kids got an egg for breakfast. Lovely hot tub and great playground.

Absolutely amazing couple of days away with my daughter and three year old grandson - wish we could have stayed longer. Beautiful surroundings in the countryside - grandson loved the animals. We all loved the hot tub - sitting out in it under the stars was just magical. Very handy for our trip to CBeebies Land (Alton Towers) too. Katie and Nathan very friendly and helpful. We will definitely be going again.

We all loved the Shearing Shed. Tucked away in the bottom of the valley, it is a clean, cosy, comfortable house set in beautiful surroundings with amazing views from sitting room, bedrooms and garden. The ground floor was wonderfully light and airy. The kitchen was well equipped, and there was lots of comfortable seating for both sitting and dining. Learning about alpaca farming and meeting the alpacas was an unexpected added bonus! I would highly recommend as a quiet, peaceful retreat with lots of walks direct from the house and with easy access to Buxton.

Awesome stay with the boys! Great location for walking. Cabs to Buxton were £35 so a little pricey but other than that the stay was perfect!

What an incredible place! We fell in love with it. We were given excellent instructions prior to arrival and the owners came to say hi with the horses which my children loved. They also made friends wirh the two dogs and cat. The cottage has everything you could need, was really warm and cosy and had a lovely modern kitchen. The location is perfect, peaceful with no noise but close to Matlock. The lambs in the field next door were gorgeous! We will definitely be back, honestly couldnt fault it xxx

I know the area and needed a place to stay. The home was welcoming and warm. Everything you could need was available. It was clean and tidy. There was plenty of space, so if I had been travelling with family it would still have been big enough

wow, I was amazed with the views, the size of kithen and dinning area, rooms, numbers of toilets! it was all what we were looking for. The energy of house itself was very positive! thank you for a lovely stay!

Maeve was there to welcome us when we checked in and was very helpful with making sure we had everything and gave us some really good recommendations! The air b&b was lovely, clean and in such a good location to walk to castleton and hope. Also close by to a lot of great places to visit! Having the view of mam tor from the back garden was just amazing! We didn’t want for anything while we were there and we can’t wait to come back :)

An amazing property, best I’ve booked on Airbnb. Beautifully presented, extremely clean and very well stocked. You can tell the love and care that has gone into creating this rental and Julie clearly has very good taste. Everything you could possibly need - Julie has included it and she’s gone the extra mile with lovely extra touches. The cottage is well located right in the heart of Tideswell with walks and restaurants on your doorstep. If you have a dog, the boot room outside is fantastic with its warm shower and Julie even supplies dog towels and shampoo. I cannot recommend this property enough and we’ll most certainly be back!

Superb lovely 2 night stay. Would highly recommend, I think the place is bigger than the pictures show. Very cosy, everything we needed and beautiful surroundings. Walk to the Roaches not far at all. Just what we needed and will come again. Jane was superb from the off, very helpful, friendly and responsive.

We had a large group stay for 2 nights, and found that the communal spaces worked really well. We appreciated having enough space for people to sit and eat together, with a separate lounge area that was similarly big enough for everyone to comfortably gather. The beds were comfortable, and the flexibility of the layout was appreciated. We had a nice meal out that was only 10mins drive away, and enjoyed the nice walks in the area. Communication from the host was responsive. There is only one small parking space at the property but there was plenty of on-street parking within close proximity.

Swallows cottage was perfect for our girls weekend. We were so glad to have good weather to enjoy the gorgeous patio area with bbq. The kitchen was so well prepared with all the essentials we needed and more. The living room and kitchen are so spacious and we loved the carefully considered decor. Izzy provided excellent info and suggestions locally, and was really responsive to any questions we had. We'll definitely be keeping this place in mind for future trips.

We very much enjoyed our stay in this lovely cottage. The space is great and as an extra bonus, you get to use a heated pool and brilliant games room. We went early Jan and there was loads of snow, as well as pretty cold temperatures, but the house warmed up very quickly and we were always more than comfortable. The property is close enough to Bakewell for a short drive or taxi ride, should you want to venture into town. We're thinking about going back in the summer.

Absolutely beautiful cottage in a stunning location. Perfectly located for our family trip to walk up Kinder Scout. The cottage was clean, warm and comfortable. Our host provided us with local recommendations, delicious biscuits and local coffee. The pool was wonderful, our boys couldn't get enough of it! Highly recommended!

What a wonderful stay at Manor Farm. The house was beautiful, well maintained, extremely spacious and very comfortable. The surrounding countryside was stunning, with great food being served in nearby pubs and plenty of places to visit. Great space for youngsters too, with the wildlife - baby rabbits, sheep and birds and of course the swimming pool and games room, all of which they loved. Thanks to the hosts for their welcome and hospitable atmosphere.

Great value for money. Can't stress enough how friendly and reliable the staff were. We had a lovely week stay, the house was clean, the beds were comfy and the scenery was perfect. We were informed of the booking system for the swimming pool and games room, so you could have the room to yourself which was great. The pool was clean, the games room was kept tidy and the house surroundings were really lovely to walk around. You can tell the grounds were well maintained and kept in good shape as the workers never stopped, but were always so friendly. This property is perfect for bike riders, walkers and pub crawlers. You couldn't get bored.

We stayed in the main farm house in a group of 6. The house was beautiful, spacious and comfortable in every room. The garden was large with a hot tub, outdoor seating and sand pit for the kids. Loved the fact you can feed the goats, there was a full guide to recommended places nearby for days out and places to see or visit. The host was really lovely and available to help whenever we needed. We would definitely love to come back here and see more of the surrounding areas and especially chatsworth house and gardens. Highly recommend for anyone wishing to have a chilled, peaceful holiday and for people wanting to get out and see the beautiful local towns, history and days out with the kids. Thanks for a fantastic stay!

We spent a lovely 3 nights here with our 2 children (8 & 4) and our dog. The apartment was perfect, had everything we needed. Beds were super comfy & the whole place had a really homely feel to it. The hot tub was great, we also booked the pool on 2 of the days which was really easy and the kids loved having it to ourselves. We used the games room which had some really good equipment in it. The location was a few mins drive into Bakewell. Overall a great family friendly place to stay which we all loved and would happily stay at again.
