this spot was a great home base for three adults and a baby while we were in town for a week. we were able to get to nearby places quickly from this location and it was so nice to stay in this comfortable and functional (we cooked a lot) home. the weather wasn't on our side for sitting outside but that would have been the cherry on top. Derek was a great host - very responsive and helpful.

Great, responsive and accommodating host. Very nice, homey place to stay in fire island and enjoy the beach. The house is also very close to the dock for the ferry and water taxi.

Ryan’s place was perfect for my parents to stay for their trip to Northport. The space was clean and comfortable, and the location was very convenient. Ryan was helpful and responsive for their entire trip.

First of all I would like to thank Carmen for letting me stay at her beautiful home. I enjoyed the time I spent at the air bnb even though it was a very busy weekend for me. Carmen home was clean and comfortable, also a very convenient location close to so many places. The home is also pretty spacious I was able to have a nice family dinner and gathering there. I would definitely recommend staying at this beautiful air bnb, Carmen was a great host Thankyou again.

Mathew was very accommodating and very responsive. His location on the board walk was very centrally located. Walking distance to everything. He allowed late check out which was nice. It was my first time on the island so was not aware of many rules and regulations. I suggest researching before booking.

Excellent stay! Hosts were responsive and very helpful. The house is absolutely beautiful, the pictures do not do it justice. The location is perfect and we had a wonderful time. The house was very clean and had beautiful decor. Highly recommend! Five stars one of my favorite and I will definitely be back. Thank you to Susan and Zoe for a wonderful stay.

Nice cozy cottage one block from the beach.. spent many hours walking the beach and found many beautiful shells and sea glass on our walks. Cozy cottage perfect for us and our dog in a quiet and beautiful neighborhood.

You will be surprised to be able to see the sunrise from your bedroom, have cocktails on a little beach on the brackish Shrewsbury River with windsurfers trying their luck, walk to Bahr's seafood resto or Proving Ground tavern with good beer and food and views -- great location and quiet at night and interesting to watch clammers ride out in their little boats in the morning.

We came over to New York for a 1 week holiday, where one of the options was this AirBnB, and after looking around we ended up settling with this one. Bill has been a great host, always proactive and quick to respond when there was something we didn't have. the Airbnb itself is as described, comfortable for 2 people. We were concerned that it might not be worth enough given we visited in December, though thankfully there is a good central heating; the additional heaters weren't required, but the heated blanket was a nice touch. Lovely locations nearby, and we actually spent half the week just staying in Oceanside as everything was a walking distance away. Getting into Central New York City is best done by walking 20 minutes to Oceanside station, and taking the LIRR straight in. Highly recommend to anyone wanting to visit NYC. We'd happily stay here again if we visited NYC again.

I stayed at Heather's cottage while having our floors refinished. It was so peaceful and cozy. It was the coldest week so far this Winter but the space not only had a cozy feel but the heat worked great and there are heated floors in the bathroom. The view of the river from the bed was spectacular. Having Hartshorne woods pretty much across the street made it easy to go for a nice run which was also a perk. Heather was extremely responsive making the week go by seamlessly.

I had a wonderful stay at Rosemonde’s Airbnb! From the moment we arrived, everything exceeded expectations. The space was spotless, tastefully decorated, and incredibly cozy—truly a home away from home. Rosemonde was an outstanding host: warm, welcoming, and always quick to respond to any questions. She clearly put thought into every detail, from the well-stocked amenities to the charming touches that made our stay so special. The bed was comfortable, the neighborhood was peaceful, and we felt completely safe throughout our visit. The location was perfect—just a short drive or train ride to everything we wanted to explore, but far enough away to enjoy quiet evenings. It was ideal for our family, and we left with nothing but good memories. I wholeheartedly recommend this Airbnb to anyone looking for comfort, hospitality, and a stress-free stay. We really loved our stay. The space was spotless, cozy, and you could feel the care that went into it — it wasn’t just beds and four walls, it felt like somewhere someone genuinely wanted guests to feel at home. Beautifully decorated, super well stocked (even had extra blankets and fresh-baked cookies!), and just really easy to settle into. Communication was kind, responsive, and thoughtful the whole way through, which made everything even smoother. We’d absolutely come back in a heartbeat.

My group had a wonderful stay. We felt right at home. The property was private and the house was clean. The backyard is beautiful with a great pool. Erol was responsive throughout our stay. I would stay here again!
