We rented Amanda's place for 2 nights in the winter and it surpassed our expectations! Amanda was a great communicator. The older cottage has been extensively renovated, it was clean, comfortable and cozy. We loved the wood stove and the heating system worked well. The kitchen is first-rate, and very well-equipped, it even had decent knives! We cook a lot and we very much enjoyed making meals there. We loved watching the ever-changing weather on the river from the picture window in the living room, and even saw a beautiful sunrise. The star of our stay was the sauna—we have a wood-burning sauna at home and at our cottage—and we were very impressed with its size, the modern design, the huge picture window and the style of stove. It got up to temperature even in -17 degree weather. We hiked and snowshoed in the Alexander Hope Smith Nature Reserve which was a walk from the cottage. The town of Washago was a 11 minute drive, with a great grocery store. Would definitely stay there again!

Becky’s cottage is perfect for a family stay in Muskoka. The cottage is incredibly well designed and appointed with tons of small touches that make the stay outstanding. Both the main cottage and side cottage provide ample space for all parties and the outdoor space from docks to patios give everyone tons of space to enjoy the outdoors. We hope to stay here again soon! Derek

We had a lovely stay at Clare’s Cabin everything was as expected and she was super responsive and checking in on us incase we needed anything. Will definitely recommend for a peaceful getaway!

My family and I spent Christmas at Michelle’s lovely cottage and we had a great time! The cottage itself is very nice and cozy; in person, it looks even better than in pictures. It had everything we needed for our stay. The hot tub is a must as it has an amazing view of the lake; and we also enjoyed a little walk around with snowshoes available at the cottage. The host, Michelle, was very kind and responsive. She had the cottage decorated for Christmas, which was perfect for our gathering and created a very cozy atmosphere. We will definitely consider going back during summer as the place has many in-the-house amenities and private access to the lake. Thank you, Michelle, for hosting us!

We had a great time. Sir Sam’s ski hill nearby. Hot tub was great for those days when ski hill was not an option. There is fast internet at the cottage. Very private and quiet. We enjoyed our stay.

We stayed as three families (old room mates, partners and kids) over an extended winter weekend and had a blast. We enjoyed the hot tub and the sauna, went cross country skiing, played games in the casual downstairs games area, and had some really lovely meals and games nights in the upstairs dining room and living rooms. The space was clean and welcoming, the kitchen well-stocked, and we left with big smiles. An unfortunate incident with the propane heating was outside of Zarina's control and was quickly resolved as soon as we alerted her. We would happily return for another group outing.

For a winter weekend getaway, the accommodations and the host were a great match for us 6 Torontonians. Christina was available for any questions and she would follow up ensuring we were okay. Everything was clean, tidy, comfortable and cozy. We especially enjoyed the soaker tub and sauna. The dining table withstood brunches, dinners, and competitive board games. Thank you Christina for creating and sharing this home with others.

We had a short, but great stay! Carley is an amazing host who goes above and beyond. She is so quick to respond and leaves you wanting for nothing and feeling right at home. The place is so cozy with the added bonus of a hot tub to enjoy! We had a great time and really couldn't say enough great things about Carley and her home!

Doreen and Derek were excellent hosts. They were warm, friendly and receptive. The place was clean, nicely furnished and the kitchen had all necessary amenities. The neighbourhood was quiet and beautiful. We would like to visit the place again if the opportunity arises.

Wonderful and relaxing place to stay for my boyfriend and I! The complimentary toiletries, wine, freshly baked bread, cookies, etc… we really appreciated the thought and effort into making us feel welcomed. The hot tub was AMAZING and the instructions were clear to use (we were first timers). The fireplaces made us feel so relaxed and cozy during this unfortunately cold April. We would definitely come back if we find ourselves in the area again :) Thank you for having us!!

Ein wunderbarer Ort zum Entspannen. Einfach großartig! Die Wohnung ist sehr geräumig, hell und gut ausgestattet. Der Blick auf den See ist ein Highlight. Ich würde immer wieder hier herkommen. Meine Naturbeobachtung am See werde ich sehr vermissen.

I can’t say enough other than I felt like we went to our families house for the weekend. Her and her husband made us feel right at home. She had homemade brownies waiting for us and greeted us when we arrived. There was nothing missed in the way they have this set up. The most above and beyond experience with a beautiful breakfast. I would highly recommend staying here.

We had a lovely stay at Oula’s place! The unit was exactly as described and impeccably clean. Oula was super friendly and communicative, and even proactively checked in on us during our stay.

We had a very relaxing, peaceful time at the cottage, it is the perfect place to recharge! Everything in the description is true. The place is spotless, tastefully done, awesome woodstove with wood supplied. The kitchen spice cupboard is a dream. The host even has some coffee if you run low. Everything is top of the line, what a treat! Another treat is feeding the birds, chipmunks, red squirrels and a friendly black one. Jars of food to share with our furry friends! This is our second time visiting. The location is easy to find and down the road from Apsley.Definitely worth the drive! Thanks Stephen we'll visit again.

Alan & Rosalie’s cottage was everything we could have asked for and more ! It was a perfect place to just relax and recharge after a busy fall and Christmas season. We wanted for nothing, it had everything we needed. Alan met us when we arrived and explained where everything was and how it all worked. My wife and I and our two dogs had a wonderful experience. We will most definitely be doing a return visit. If you are looking for a place to getaway and relax this is the place, highly recommend it ! Thank you Alan & Rosalie !

My family couldn’t have asked for a better getaway. As far as bang for your buck goes you can’t do better. Andrew and Hali were exceptional hosts, very responsive and helpful anytime we had questions. Everything was very clean, bedrooms and furniture throughout were very comfortable. My boys would absolutely love to come back, and we’d highly recommend this place for anyone wanting a seamless experience on a beautiful lake. Thank you for such a great experience!

We had the best summer before school starts , thanks to Henry’s cottage! There lots to do, campfire, kayak, boating etc. We love the jetty by the lake and we have coffee there every morning!!! The backyard is so spacious it has the playground that kids have plenty of stuff to do! The place is very quiet at night! We also love the bedrooms and it has no problems accomodating our family plus two more. We have a good experience here and Henry is very responsive on our concerns and questions! We will definitely come back !! Thanks!!!
