Wir waren 4 Nächte in Nina's Unterkunft. Vom Check-in, über das liebevoll vorbereitete Haus, die vorgewärmten Zimmer über die vollausgestatteten Räume bis hin zu sehr hilfreichen Informationen bezüglich des Wetters und die absolute Erreichbarkeit hat alles wunderbar geklappt und wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. We spent a few days in a beautiful house. Marianne was very helpful with her advices. I would roccommend it to all who wants to stay in a remote nice place.

Das Haus von Silje liegt an eine sehr schönen fleck. Perfekt um eine entspannte zeit zu verbringen und runter zufahren. Man kann vom Haus aus perfekt die Polarlichter sehen.

Fantastic host, super welcome, amazing location (view on the fjord, great for northern lights, can stay hours in front of the big window just watching outside), extremely good house with everything available (including many spices, a great welcome package, wood for the fire, etc). We are from Singapore.. We chose Silje House as it was quiet away from city!! The house have everything we need and is very very cosy. We get to immerse ourselves in nature and its very peaceful. We had no problem driving up the slope in winter. And we managed to see the Northern Lights almost everyday when we were there..we can see them through our Naked eyes..u can enjoy from yr bedroom window too. Silje is very responsive and helpful. She tries her very best to assist n advise. We really appriciate it so much. We felt right at home when we were there. Thank you so much, Silje.

Wir haben insgesamt 8 Tage mit Freunden in dieser schönen Unterkunft verbracht. Der Ausblick auf den Fjord und die Berge war unglaublich schön. Wenn es nicht bewölkt war, konnte man von der Unterkunft aus hervorragend die Polarlichter sehen! Absolut empfehlenswert. Die Ausstattung der Küche hat auch alles geboten, was man gebraucht hat. Am ersten Abend hat leider die Fußbodenheizung im Anbau nicht funktioniert, aber am nächsten Tag kam auch direkt jemand zur Hilfe. Es gibt keine Restaurants in der Nähe, jedoch einen gut ausgestatteten Supermarkt mit einer freundlichen und hilfsbereiten Inhaberin. Zur Tromso-City haben wir ca. 1h 10 Minuten gebraucht. Ich habe die Unterkunft bereits weiterempfohlen und würde erneut hinreisen.

Great stay! The place is perfect for large families and groups, and the hosts are very nice and helpful. You can use all the equipment in the house, such as a sled or a wood fireplace, but you will also find their private things. I highly recommend this place :)

Un excellent séjour chez Jeannette. C'est une hôte réactive, accueillante, bienveillante et sa maison est un véritable havre de paix. Vous pouvez aller passer un séjour chez Jeannette, les yeux fermés. La maison était propre, spacieuse, un véritable cocon ressourçant.

The apartment is located in what probably is an old social space of an industrial building. It served our needs really well. One double bed and one single bed. Sauna works well and was a huge bonus. Kitchen equipment is basic and little random (e.g. one tablespoon and four champagne glasses), but it allows for basic mountain grub. If you enjoy being out in the mountains, this place is likely to satisfy your needs: warm bed, bathroom, kitchen and as a cherry on top, a sauna.

Beautiful, spacious & well equipped house in absolutely stunning location. Scenic views from every window & the fjord side sauna was fabulous. Maret was a great host. The property was scrupulously clean & extremely comfortable & stylish. We were lucky enough to see Aurora on most nights from the garden, despite cloudy conditions. Very highly recommended

Oddgeir‘s Haus war ein Glücksfund und eine Bereicherung für unseren arktischen Urlaub. Wir haben mit unseren 2 kleinen Kindern ein paar wunderbare Tage dort verbracht. Lage: Die abgelegene Lage am Fjord ist traumhaft und sehr ruhig. Offensichtlich perfekt zum Polarlichter schauen, auch wenn wir wegen der Bewölkung leider kein Glück hatten. Haus: Das Haus war sehr sauber, die Ausstattung optimal. Fußbodenheizung und Kamin - einfach gemütlich. Kommunikation: Hätte nicht besser sein können. 2 Beispiele. 1) Mein Mann und mein Sohn sind alleine angereist, weil meine Tochter krank war und wir erst später nach Tromsø fliegen konnte. Oddgeir hat uns dann angeboten ohne Zusatzkosten eine Nacht länger zu bleiben. 2) als unserer Auto im Schnee stecken geblieben ist, hat er innerhalb von 20 Minuten einen Traktor organisiert, der uns rausgezogen hat. Oddgeir hat darauf bestanden, dass wir uns wie zu Hause fühlen - das haben wir! Sehr zu empfehlen.

By renting the little cabin, Marianne and George open the door to their little paradise. In their place you will feel love, real nature and one of the most beautiful landscape ever, even the drive to and from Tromso is breathtaking. For people seeking a true experience in nature this is the perfect place. The cabin is remote, a step back in time, no mod cons and this is it’s beauty. A cosy, warm little haven in the beautiful wild. It is well thought out - all the instructions given by Marianne and George, and noted around the cabin ensure your stay is seamless and answers all the questions you might have - it is important to listen to them, especially as you are in the middle of the wild, responsible for your own warmth and staying in someone’s home. You are stepping back in time, at one with nature. This is a magical place. Marianne and George are kind and welcoming people. In the middle of an area flooded with guides and tourists and impersonal experiences they are a true find. Passionate about nature and the aurora, experts in the region (Marianne is a local). If you’re looking for other experiences whilst staying in the area - they are the perfect people to ask (especially aurora hunting). Going to the cabin is a truly unique experience. We are leaving with stars in our eyes and will definitely return.

Een prachtige locatie met heel veel ruimte binnen en buiten. Het uitzicht over het fjord is fantastisch. De kinderen (en volwassenen) hebben zich om het huis vermaakt met het zoeken naar schelpen en mooie steentjes. Er loopt een sneeuwhaas om het huis en ook de otter is 2x gespot. Bijna iedere avond hebben we genoten van het noorderlicht. Prachtig!!! Binnen is er ontzettend veel ruimte. Ideaal met 4 jonge kinderen. Ze hebben ontzettend veel plezier gehad, mede door de spelletjes die door Elisabet voor ons geregeld waren. We hebben een aantal keer een vraag gesteld en kregen daar direct adequaat antwoord op. Ook de tips over de omgeving waren erg fijn. Mooie autoroutes, maar zeker ook in de buurt is veel te bezoeken, wandelen en te zien. We hebben een prachtige week gehad. Triptip: Fjordcruise vanuit Tromso. Een 3,5 uur durende boottocht met gids die uitleg gaf over de omgeving, wildlife etc.

Reidun was a lovely host! She did an amazing job preparing the cabins for us, and we really appreciated all the detail that went into making sure they were clean, and above all, cosy! They are so wonderfully decorated. Upon arrival, they were warm which is lovely at 3am at night, having been out on Northern Lights tours. The jacuzzi and sauna were both very well received by my group, and we even had a chance to see the Northern Lights briefly from the cabin. The beds are exceptionally comfy, and more than enough extra blankets were provided. Location is great, as it's not too far from Tromsø but also a great location to explore the surrounding areas, whilst feeling far more private and having low light pollution. Reidun was a pleasure too - she's a wonderful host! She went above and beyond for us, and was always easy to get in touch with, which makes the experience so much more pleasant! Thank you for making the trip of a lifetime! :)

Beautiful cabin in a stunning location. Clear and helpful communication from Odd Arne throughout. Just a brief stay near to Bardufoss airport and for visiting the Polar Park, very pleasant stay.

Wir hatten einen sehr schönen Aufenthalt gehabt! Check-In und Check-Out per Schlüsselbox und alles war frisch bezogen. Auf Anfrage hat man uns auch Trinkwasser bereitgestellt. Bitte beachtet dass aufgrund der Wasserfärbung eigenes stilles Wasser mitgebracht werden sollte, bekommt man auch in jeden Einkaufsladen. Der Coop in Mestervik ist ca. 25 Minuten mit dem Auto entfernt und ist die nächste Einkaufsmöglichkeit. Ansonsten haben wir auch von Nachbarn nichts mitbekommen bzw. nichts gehört. Man hat tatsächlich ein schönes ruhiges Örtchen, mit herrlichen Ausblick und den Fjord und die dahinterliegende Bergkette. Der Whirpool war ganz einfach zu benutzen und ist ständig gewärmt. Die Sauna lässt sich mit Holz beheizen. Wir hatten eine sehr schöne Woche und würden wieder kommen. Über angebliches Viehzeug im Haus können wir nichts sagen, bei uns war alles sauber und ordentlich. Fahrt am Besten im Winter mit 4x4 und Spikes. Die Straße zur Unterkunft vereist gerne mal.

What an amazing location! The cabin was great, and we thoroughly enjoyed the Northern Lights in between breaks from the sauna!. This cabin is located in the same fjord where one of the most incredible stories in history took place. The story of Jan Baalsrud is absolutely incredible, and Furuflaten, Hotell Savoy, and Manndalan are all a stone's throw from this cabin! I strongly recommend reading "We Die Alone" by David Howarth, or watch the 12th Man (but the book is better). Long story short, this cabin is perfectly situated to experience all that Arctic Norway has to offer.
