From start to finish we loved this place, it was everything and more. The house was spotless and had a vast array of appliances and space. We loved the peaceful nature around it and the view! As it was our first time in Castletownbere we appreciated all the local recommendations and every single person we met was so friendly and helpful. Highly recommend and thank you to John for sharing this gem with us.

The apartment has everything you need for a short stay in a remote peaceful setting. Communication re. check in was great. There is a lockbox for self check in however Nina met us on arrival and showed us around. The apartment was clean, warm and well stocked. There is not much room for luggage so pack light as the space is small. We chose this mainly for the sauna and plunge pool and they did not disappoint. Noel has done a wonderful job on the wood burning sauna and the natural plunge pool is what you would dream of having in your garden, it really was magical. We did not manage to use the fire pit as the weather was wet and windy but it looked lovely. We drove the Beara Way one of the days and was easily done from this location. The drive from Bantry and the nearest pub/restaurant is about 15 minutes on a narrow country road that I would not recommend doing in the dark so if you want peace and quiet and are happy to be secluded in the evenings this is the place for you.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Kenmare. The house was cosy and we felt right at home with everything we needed available to us. The house is ideally located and we enjoyed the facilities at the hotel as well as the local restaurants and bars in Kenmare. Will definitely stay again on our next trip to Kenmare. Highly recommend this beautiful house.

We were a family of 4 adults - a 16 year old and an 8 year old and the house and location were ideal for us as the 2 adults and 2 kids were visiting from Australia. We were able to entertain friends who popped in as there was so much space, well equipped kitchen, huge BBQ etc. We loved this house and would go back. The only negative was the WiFi was not great in the house, but it's also not great reception in the area - so hopefully that will improve. If you were going to work while staying it wouldn't be easy to do so. A great experience was had by all and the highlight was being able to use the pool and leisure centre in Sheen Falls Hotel across the road. Whenever we needed anything Paudie or Kathy were on it immediately.

Grande maison avec de grandes chambres et chacune une salle de bain. Literie excellente et tout ce qu il faut pour faire la cuisine. Maison très calme dans un joli quartier. Tout peut se faire à pied. Très bon camp de base pour découvrir une très belle région et faire de splendides randonnées.

This is my second time staying at Birgit’s Airbnb. I wondered how the magic of the first stay could ever be replicated, but it was! The views were still extraordinary and birgit was still so helpful and communicative (and so nice even when I locked myself out at 10 pm!). I’ll be back!

I would give 11 out of 10 if I could. The home is so stylish and comfortably furnished, and feels very luxurious. Whatever the weather here, the views across the bay were always fabulous and ever changing. I had arrived with high expectations which it totally met and indeed surpassed. Painful to have to leave. The only consolation was to promise ourselves that we would come back again soon.

Lovely home in a great location. Walkable to the town via a path right next to the house. Well equipped with all necessary utilities. Very responsive host with easy instructions for accessing the property. Would highly recommend a stay in John’s home in the lovely town of Kenmare.

this could not have been better in any way. our family stayed here for our 4 days in Dingle and it was the highlight of our trip. the house was close in and an easy walk to everything, we really appreciated the safety vests for late night walks across the little bridge too. everything inside the home was immaculate and so nice. my sister and I both left absolutely obsessed with the tiling in the downstairs bathroom, which sounds crazy until you see it - just so pretty! the beds were comfortable and we really enjoyed spending nights as a family gathered around the big table. the welcome basket was also incredibly appreciated by us all! this really could not have been better in any way, and we're so grateful we got to stay in such a nice place when exploring this beautiful part of the world.

A charming home in a stunning location. We only had a short trip but it's the kind of place you don't want to leave. Pat was very friendly and responsive to our messages. If you can, take a walk up the hill behind the house. The views are worth it! It is a good location for day trips and it's a reasonable length to many sights. Kids had a great time exploring the garden. The house had everything we needed and more. Very comfortable, clean and warm.

We had a fantastic weekend celebrating my sister’s hen. The house was great and fully stocked with everything we needed. The outdoor area is such an added bonus as well. Kinsale is a very short drive away and there is a lovely beach just down the road. We would definitely love to stay here again.

Lovely stay in Roscarbery , although I didn’t meet our hosts they were in contact and answered any questions we had quickly. Very cosy house especially with the open fire . Very enjoyable short break.

An amazing place, truly worth the drove to get there

We enjoyed our stay at Kathy's as a family of 6. It was a fab location 8 minute drive outside the town. We used a taxi once and it was €14, taxis were always available on the street and by using the freenow app. Kathys accommodation was spotlessly clean, great wifi, easy check in. Everything was amazing and the house is huge. Thanks for a great stay Kathy. We will definitely be back.

Sheila's Cottage is really a gem - tucked away from the main touristic routes it's the old farm house on her property renovated and cozy. We felt very welcome and love our time there! We booked very last minute on the same day - there simply was no time to clean the floors. But everything else, kitchen, bathroom and beds were very clean and comfortable! I absolutely recommend Sheila's cottage if you're looking for some peace and quiet for a family and for a more than fair price.

I don't think I've ever stayed in an airbnb with a host as considerate, accommodating, and fashionable (both in personal and interior decorating style). The space was designed with livability and beauty in mind, and it shows. My family and I settled in instantly, as the space oozes comfort, from the wood burning stove to the well-stocked and compact kitchen. And if that wasn't enough, as it was Christmas, she brought me and my family plates from her meticulously cooked family dinner. If we're ever in Cork again, we will surely rent with her, and maybe even take her out for a cocktail. Thanks, Maureen!

My partner, 6 mo daughter and I stayed at Bernadette’s townhouse for three nights while in Kenmare as part of a larger road trip. We felt comfortable, safe and extremely taken care of. The home is nestled in a quiet residential area not far from the town center. It was exactly what we were looking for; far enough away from any busyness but an easy walk or drive into town. The beds were all comfortable; the kitchen was stocked with everything we needed; the living space was nice and comfy. It was great to have so much space, especially with a baby. Bernadette was very responsive to our questions and helpful with recommendations; she even left some nice touches like fresh flowers and fruit! I would definitely recommend this Airbnb!!

Rosy and Tim are terrific host that understand the true nature of hospitality. I was able to glean insights to the community as a place to live, share a delicious (gluten free) meal with Tim, Rosy and other family members and discuss common interest like music and literature. It felt like staying with family that you actually get along with. The Dingle Peninsula is one of the most beautiful places in Ireland, and from my experiences there (Thanks to Tim’s suggestion) I was able to experience sights I may not have.

We had a fantastic stay in Robert's Red Brick House. The house was exactly what we needed. Spacious with excellent furnishings and activities. Robert and Joe (the house manager) were very responsive when we requested to extend our stay - they were extremely helpful and accommodating. We very much recommend the house and look forward to staying here again.

Beautiful part of the world, great view. Sheep and wild deer in the fields surrounding the house. The house was very clean, spacious and quickly warm. The host made us feel at home. Thanks

Brilliant property, great location, fab views, well equipped and cosy. We had a great long weekend with my parents in law, was very accessible for my disabled mum in law as there was a fabulous downstairs en-suite bedroom . Anne Marie was so helpful and responded really quickly to any questions we had. We can’t wait to go back again soon.

This house was perfect for our needs. As a large group of adults, the number of en-suite rooms was great. The house had a wonderful large kitchen/living space, perfect for gatherings. The house was warm and beds were comfortable. Barbara was quick to respond and very helpful with our check-in and check-out arrangements. There was plenty of equipment and a well stocked cupboard of herbs and spices and odd bits that you need but don’t want to buy just for a few days. The location was perfect - 10 min walk to the centre of Bantry and the views are amazing from the house (despite the rain). We will definitely be back.
