We had a truly memorable stay at this Airbnb! The view was absolutely stunning, and the sauna was such a relaxing bonus—it quickly became one of our favorite parts of the trip. What really made this experience stand out, though, was the host, Mathew. When our car unexpectedly broke down , he went above and beyond to help. He sent us a ton of helpful local resources and even had his handyman come by to check in and make sure we were okay. That kind of care and attentiveness is rare and made us feel so supported and looked after. The place was clean, peaceful, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We felt completely at ease and truly appreciated the kindness and hospitality we were shown. Would definitely stay here again!

We loved the location and enjoyed sightseeing with day trips to Iron Mountain, Marquette, Pictured Rocks and relaxing days fishing and jumping off the docks. The beach down the road at the state park was also great. The cottage was perfect for our family of 4 plus Grandparents. We made a lot of great memories and would definitely come back.

Very good spot to stay especially if you want to be on the water.

The house was exactly as pictured. One of the few stays where I was able to cook breakfasts and dinners and had everything I needed. The main family room with the fireplace was cozy and relaxing. We typically chose the places we stay for the sauna and this one was one of the best. It heated up quickly and steamed well. The lake view was amazing with peak color and close to fun outdoorsy things we love when in the UP.

The home is older and quirky but has everything you need and lots of space for a family. The property is beautiful and the private beach was amazing. We enjoyed reading the book about the homes history. We made day trips to the Porkies and Copper Harbor. I cannot say enough about the private beach. Go to the UP, book this place, you will not regret it.

We loved staying at Kyle’s place! The host was responsive and provided clear instructions and suggestions. The house was very clean and spacious, and had everything we needed. There was plenty of comfortable seating - loved the porch and outdoor space. The mattress was super comfortable, which is important to my old bones after a day of hiking/exploring! We were only two people, but you could easily accommodate a large family or group and have plenty of room! We loved the remote waterfront location, it was so quiet and peaceful. We explored the Baraga County area (recommend the Lake and County tour), easily made day trips east to the Michigamme area and west to the Keweenaw and to Houghton for a MTU football game. We even got to see the Northern Lights right from the yard! It was a great time and we are already talking about coming back!

We spent a week at Kari's place for spring break. The UP is always beautiful but especially so during the winter months. Houghton was worth the 9+ hour drive and the home was perfectly suited for our large group. The space was clean, beds are comfortable, and had everything needed to ensure we could fully enjoy our time. The kitchen is well equipped and thoughtful touches throughout the home were appreciated. The game room, hot tub, sauna, and snowshoes certainly added to the fun. We had such a wonderful time!
