I booked this property to celebrate my fiancé’s 30th birthday with family. Everyone loved the house and everything that came with it. We struggled a little to find the property but Julie was helpful over the phone. Julie & her husband welcomed us and had kindly set up beers in an ice bucket for arrival which was a lovely start. All the rooms / living room / games room / kitchen all very clean and tidy. The kitchen had everything to cook easily & big fridge for all the food for everyone. Iron & iron board / hairdryer easily found. We had trouble lighting the fire on the outdoor table but they were quickly round and rectified it and got it going. We thought it was great that the wood / coal / fire starters were included as we did use the fire pit and BBQ multiple times. The games room was brilliant, the pool table and darts board was a hit! We booked the yurt last minute and were impressed with how well this was accomodated by the host. The campsite was very clean and peaceful, and we absolutely loved our stay. The hot tub made the weekend extra special and we really enjoyed being out in the countryside.

The location was amazing and the views were spectacular. This home was exactly what it said on the tin. We were all blown away by it and had beautiful weather to make the most of the outdoor area. The only thing we did notice was that there wasn’t enough wine glasses & champagne flutes. Not ideal when there was 8 women so we had to use half pint glasses. We could have also done with more dishwasher tablets to last the stay. Apart from that it was perfect. Thank you.

We had a great time at Canny Brow Barn. Everything you could possible think of or need for your stay, Ian and Anne-Marie had thought about, from a cocktail shaker to cleaning products to games. Would highly recommend!

The house was amazing. Beautifully converted barn with so much space. The hot tub was a great size in a beautiful courtyard. There was everything you would need in the kitchen. Very comfortable sofas with blankets provided for when the night becomes a little colder to sit round the wood burner. The bedrooms were immaculate with such comfy beds and fresh smelling clean bedding with towels, shower gel, shampoo and conditioner provided in cute hotel style bottles. Overall this was an amazing property which we were sad to leave. I would highly recommend a stay here. Such a calm relaxing place.

We had a wonderful 6 days in this beautiful and charming cottage. It’s well kitted out, clean, has stunning views and is full of character. It’s easy to find. It’s Quiet. The hot tub was an excellent addition and in a perfect spot. The only downside was that it was quite a drive into the north/west lakes but we did know that and expected it to be the case before we arrived. There’s lots of lovely nearby walks too. I’d definitely recommend. You will not be disappointed, it’s a lovely place to stay.

We had a lovely weekend at Moss Side Farm, we travelled with friends, small children and dogs. The contained garden was perfect for the dogs and the farm was lovely to take the children to see the animals. The accommodation is really homely and a good size. Louise is super friendly and helpful, and arranged an extra cot for us which we really appreciated! Would totally recommend this place for a quiet weekend away.

We had a lovely week away at Mark and Ruth’s cottage. The private access to the lake was perfect for our beginner paddle boarding skills, as well as relaxing. A great location to explore the wider Lake District too. Our son loved the magical fairy visits!

Great location and very peaceful. We thoroughly enjoyed the disconnect from the outside world, and to be able to tick off a Wainwright from the roundhouse was great. My wife loved the experience with Cumbrian Heavy Horses. We loved being able to support such an amazing place.

A huge thank you to Jackie, John and Cooper 🐶 for everything during our stay this week. The accommodation was perfect for us and felt like home from home. The little additional touches were most appreciated. The location was perfect for walking our dogs, getting a train, walking into Kendal or getting in / out of Kendal by car. We would love to come back when we are next up visiting family in Kendal.

This is such a beautiful village and cottage. We felt like we’d stumbled across a diamond. Staveley is so lovely, well located to fells and towns, and the village itself is great. We enjoyed having pizza at More? bakery and the Eagle and Child Inn. The cottage was perfect for us, our two kids and our dog. It’s beautifully clean and maintained. The beds were super comfy and the kitchen had everything we needed to cook at home. We absolutely loved the sauna after running or walking in the fells. We also really appreciated the dog treats, the free port, the coffee pod machine and the ability to buy wine in the cottage when we had run out. We will definitely be back, thanks Morven and Phillip!

Lovely, cosy holiday apartment with comfortable beds, great bed linen and workable cooking facilities. In excellent location, 4 minutes from the railway and bus station and very close to all of the shops and restaurants in the town.

We loved everything about this place! The pictures do not do it justice there is so much more space inside, so lovely and cosy perfect for couples and dogs too. Could not be in a better location it is literally a few steps into the centre of Windermere. We will certainly be back in the summer! Thank you☺️

We had a fantastic time at the Wren, beautiful views, my cockerpoo Marley thought he was in heaven, having breakfast on the patio with views over the lake was bliss, lovely walks, would definitely go back next year👍👍👍

Superb location and the perfect base for exploring the area. I only wish I had more time to enjoy Cate’s place and its beautiful surroundings—it all looked absolutely stunning. I had a quiet coffee outside one morning before heading home, and it was incredibly peaceful. Inside, everything was just as expected and fully equipped. Cate also left me some of the best brownies and cookies I’ve ever eaten—such a thoughtful touch!

My husband & I had a lovely stay at Hazels apartment. A lovely location and only a 10 min stroll into town via a couple of really nice canal side pubs! The apartment was very well equipped with everything you could need. Spotlessly clean. Great WiFi, even a Smart TV and all kitchen mod-cons. Hazel was great at proactively communicating with us all along after booking, even during our stay. A short question to ask if we were ok and she could help in anyway. I would not hesitate to recommend a stay at Hazels apartment. Lots of lovely walking around the area and I’d recommend lunch or dinner at either of the canal pubs or Merchants in the town .

We spent 5 nights here at the end of March and start of April 2025. We were really fortunate with the weather and took full advantage of the wonderful location: scaling Slight Side and Scafell on one day, riding to Coniston via the bridleway on another and 'bagging' most of the Coniston fells on another day via Wrynose Pass. We ate in on a couple of nights and also went to the Wainwright's for some pub grub, as well as Stoves for their evening menu. Simon and Belinda's place is very well situated in Great Langdale for all kinds of walks and rides, food and decent pints. The house itself is a lovely place to return to in the evening with easy parking outside for our van and once inside, everything is spotless, well equipped and cosy. We really appreciated all the helpful information on bike routes and walking routes and spent the late evenings by the fire pouring over the Wainwright books planning the next day's adventures. 100% recommended.

Great lodge situated right at the top of the site, within 2 minutes of a small walk with panoramic views of the valleys. Bedding was super soft & so were the towels, comfy bed, great sleep. Beautiful surroundings to wake up to and sit outdoors with a coffee listening to the birds. Dog friendly! Comfortable sofa! Lots of utensils and plates.

Immaculate premises , responsive host and an excellent hot tub . Couldn’t be faulted in any way .

Beautiful little cabin surrounded by stunning scenery, with many great places to visit within a short driving distance. The cabin had everything we needed for our stay. Andy provided lots of useful information and tips regarding the local area. We'll definitely be coming back again!

Our group of 7 adults and 3 kids really enjoyed our stay. The place was cozy, comfortable and had everything we needed. It provided the perfect getaway and we will definitely be back.

what a great air b&b . clean and tidy . we had an issue which was our right within hours. everything was explained in the texts we sent and received . can't rave to much about van, sie ,area and host. what a sea view.
