Our stay at this Airbnb was absolutely wonderful! The home was beautifully designed, cozy, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The host was amazing—always attentive and making sure we were well taken care of. Their hospitality truly made a difference! I highly recommend this place to anyone visiting the Elgin area. If we ever return, we will definitely be staying here again!

Barbara’s cabin was truly a hidden gem in the outskirts of Smithville. I have tons of family who have lived in Smithville since the 50’s if not earlier so I’ve grown up in Smithville and to have a place like this cabin to stay at when visiting family is amazing! The photos truly don’t do it justice. The property is very well maintained and it was freshly mowed. It’s on a few acres and has plenty of space outside to roam and enjoy the view of the river. It ac works very well, I ended up sleeping on the futon which was comfortable enough to me and everything is very clean and well-kept. My only complaint would be the lock on the gate was fairly hard to work (push back together and get it to stick, even after changing all the numbers on the pad).

This is a nice quiet place to stay in Elgin.

This is a great place to stay. It has everything you need, is nice and cool, and private enough to enjoy a cup of coffee or tea outside. I had a very peaceful stay. Great location to get to work, has several great restaurants just around the corner (both sit down and fast food). I did not want for anything, and Lisa is responsive and attentive.

I didn't want to leave... miss it already. So glad and grateful to have experienced this place. Lord knows I needed it!!!!

Beautiful Airbnb! It’s the perfect getaway from the city, surrounded by stunning pine trees and peaceful nature. The cottage was cozy, clean, and fully equipped, and the hosts were very welcoming. The farm chickens and birds added a fun, charming touch. Highly recommend!

This was one of the best Airbnb experiences I’ve ever had. David and Cheryl were exceptional hosts who ensured we had everything we needed for our stay, including extra snacks, coffee, and breakfast options. The house was exactly what we were looking for. It was a beautiful and quiet getaway for the weekend. The home is clean and well-stocked, and they even provided toiletry items in case we forgot anything. Communication was excellent. David met us to give a thorough tour and address any questions we had about the property. They also provided a list of great local recommendations. We will definitely be staying here again in the future if we find ourselves back in Lexington!
