We had a fantastic time here. Absolutely beautiful place to stay. So relaxing being in the countryside with the amazing view and the spa. It’s not fancy, you have to like rustic but it lived up to all expectations as it is exactly as described in the listing.

The view is even better than the photos - could sit there all day and watch the clouds go by. Bath is great, kitchen is great. The place had all the little extras that make is place super comfortable and make you feel thought of: Fluffy robes - fruit, eggs, milk and cereal for the morning if you don't want to go anywhere (also some chocolate left out for our arrival). We used the pizza oven too which was well setup with all the gear you need including wood and kindling ready to go. Lots of thoughtful lights in key places too so you don't trip over anything. Would stay again!

We booked two-nights last minute and appreciated Anna's responsiveness. The secluded setting was very relaxing - as was the outdoor soak. We paddled to the ocean and went for a night walk to see the glow worms. Encourage anyone looking for a peaceful location to consider this option.

Loved our stay! Carol was extremely helpful, offering to lend us items we had forgotten. The cottage is very clean and the views are stunning. Loved the outdoor bath, highly recommend!

Linda was friendly, helpful & a great host, allowing us to arrive early on short notice & kindly offering a few extra hours on our last day. We enjoyed the stay very much w the serene private backyard & outdoor bath. Great access to the township & local pub just a stroll out the backgate! Highly recommend!

Sheryl and Ian were very warm and friendly hosts with good recommendations for local coffee and places of interest. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and loved the cute cabin details, books and artwork. The outdoor kitchen was adequate for cooking meals and the spa added a nice touch of relaxing luxury.

This a great place to stay in beautiful Matapouri....and Jane is a friendly host....thanks again for the golf cart ride.

Highly recommended! Super lovely couple, very helpful and considerate. We actually stayed here for a week before our baby’s due date. Was very relaxing and I got great sleep. Our 5 year old son loved the playground too! So glad we chose to stay here :)

Beautiful modern cottage with fabulous views. Well equipped and the deck was great for relaxing. Colin was very welcoming in Karen's absence.

Dee was the most amazing host! We stayed with her during a sad occasion for my family. She was so accomodating and went out of her way to make sure we were looked after. She was understanding when we had extra family members (including our dogs) which meant a lot. Thank you Dee for your manaakitanga! Forever grateful.

Do not miss the chance to book this lovely place. If I could, I would give more than 5 stars. This was our best Arbnb during our New Zealand trip. The place has lots of space in the "Living room" and garden, so our Baby had plenty of space to crawl and explore. The view is so beautiful, the garden private and peaceful, the price fair. Everthing was tidy and clean and well equiped. On top, Sarah is a delightful host; so friendly, helpful and responsive. What more could you with for?

A lovely small place in the middle of nature yet close enough to all facilities. Very calm - no other people around. Very comfortable and great view especially for sunset. Really nice host. We will definitely come back!

Had an amazing stay at Gavan’s place. Amazing spot conveniently located by the best beaches the peninsula has to offer, there’s plenty to explore. Mostly importantly, Gavan was a great and helpful host who was always happy to share his local insights and suggestions throughout our time there; his friendly pets were another highlight! Highly recommend this place!

Had a great stay at Carolynn's caravan. Great hosts and a fantastic location. Had everything we needed and having the estuary so close was a real treat. A massive thank you to Alan for taking us out fishing on their boat on our last day seeing dolphins and whales. Amazing experience.

This place was very well equipped compared to some others we’ve been in. Shayne was welcoming and friendly and we felt right at home. We thoroughly enjoyed staying here in the lovely little country cabin. The location is just a short drive from the Kauri Museum and the Waipoa Forest. Both of which we would highly recommend!

The view is outstanding! We spent a lot of time sitting on the deck and watching the sun rise. The stars are incredible here! Thank you Maureen for all the extra touches that made this stay so special. We loved the continental breakfast and appreciated the bar of chocolate! The bed was really comfortable and the cottage was spotlessly clean. Highly recommended

The Airbnb is fantastic! You have your own lovely hut and garden and feel completely private. Yes the toilette is outside but it is only 1m from the entrance and it is really nice like a seperate room, not a big deal. It was super clean, too! Sarah was also really nice. Highly recommended!
