Bayou Teche : locations de vacances dans des cabanes

We have stayed at Dana's place twice, first in August and then in February. Highly recommend for any season! So cozy, we felt like it was made just for us. We slept upstairs but asked for the couch to be unfolded and covered with blankets and pillows for watching movies. Perfect set up! A definite highlight is the huge antique bathtub. Bring your favorite bath salts or bubble bath and get ready to settle in with a glass of wine and a good book or your favorite relaxing playlist. The kitchen is great for cooking, but you'll also want to try the outstanding local restaurants. Don't miss Myran's (ask for Mary) or The Little Big Cup; the food, scenery, and service at both is so good. (Sit outside for sure if the weather is nice.) Last but certainly not least, the back yard and pool area are sure to be a hit. Even in February when the water was freezing, the pool and spa were nice to look at while sitting out back with coffee. We can hardly wait to celebrate our next big occasion at Dana's!

We had a great weekend at Mr Muriel’s cabin. The cabin is clean, quiet, off the main road, and matched exactly as described. The linens were clean, the bed is comfortable, and the cabin is overall in a great location for peace and quiet. Definitely recommend this location if what you’re looking for is relaxation.

Great cabin, the beds were so comfortable and the secluded nature surrounding was great. We walked the trail many times to the river and enjoyed sitting on the porch woth our coffee. Its close to my family too so this will definitely be my first goto whenever I visit.

Great little log cabin next to a pretty little pond. Larry was fun to meet and talk to. Good stay!

A magical retreat we’ll never forget❤️ What an unbelievable stay! From the moment we arrived, it felt like stepping into a hidden gem designed with love and care. The kids were all smiles—kayaking, fishing, kicking the soccer ball across the open yard, and playing cornhole under the cozy covered space beneath the cabin. One of the most peaceful moments was watching the wood ducks glide across the water at sunset, gently landing on their little house. Nature truly put on a show for us. Inside, the cabin was a dream—warm, inviting, and full of thoughtful touches. The sound of rain dancing on the tin roof was its own lullaby. The coffee bar was a delight each morning, and soaking in the garden tub with bath bombs felt like a mini spa day. Each room told a story, lovingly decorated with nods to local treasures—like the Tabasco Factory and Jungle Gardens on Avery Island, and Rip Van Winkle Gardens on Jefferson Island. It felt like the spirit of the region was wrapped into every detail

My friends and I took a girls trip for a few days. Robin’s place was the perfect stay for us. Everything was wonderful and cozy, and close to some great places to eat. (The Milky Way pie at the Magnolia Cafe next door was unbelievably good!). I would definitely recommend this charming cabin for those looking for a peaceful getaway.

Serene little getaway with all the amenities. We appreciated the washer and dryer with provided laundry pods, fully equipped kitchen, indoor + outdoor fireplaces (+ wood provided), and perhaps the jacuzzi most of all! Gorgeous scenery and secluded road for a peaceful morning/ evening stroll. Couldn’t have loved it more!

We enjoyed our stay. Large table for guests in the kitchen and lots of couch space in the living room for watching football and movies. We each had our own room and bathroom which was fabulous. We spent lots of time outside around the fire pit. The kitchen met our needs as well. One of my favorite parts of the trip was going on the Last Wilderness tour of the Bayou with Al. Next time I want to do the kayak tour. Al was so informative and the trip was super educational. Loved seeing the old Cyprus trees and baby alligators.
