Birds and Branches is little piece of paradise adjacent to a provincial park outside of Edmonton. We sat outside most of the weekend, enjoying the sun, listening to nature by the outdoor fire. At one point a mother deer and her baby wandered into the property once we were inside. Beautiful place and wonderful hosts.

Its perfect here. Just far enough from town but close enough to go to town fast. Everyone was friendly and helpful.

If there was a 10/10 I would gladly rate that for Helen and John. From Friday afternoon when we got there, we needed to tie up our Great Dane so she wouldn’t wander around a new surroundings, especially since their property was close to train tracks and the highway. Saturday morning, John set up their old goat pen for Maggie to run around and stay in. Above and Beyond. Maggie got out of the pen and came to the back and front door. They let her into the house and then brought her back to her chain until they could fix the gate that she got out. Above and Beyond. We tried Maggie in the pen again when I got home, and she loved running around, although she went right to where she got out before. Smart girl, but John was smarter. Above and Beyond. Knock on the door Saturday evening with a plate of fresh brownies. Above and Beyond. Would I stay here again…absolutely. Would I recommend this place for others…absolutely. Words can’t express their hospitality. Thanks for hosting us.

We loved our stay at dawns. Location was great and dawned on had thought of everything to make our stay comfortable and easy. We stayed for a longer period and it was well set up for longer stays. Dawn was very friendly and a wealth of knowledge about Camrose which was wonderful. She had some great kids books and games which was handy and even toboggans for us to use. Definitely recommend staying at dawns!

What a wonderful cabin!! Our group of gal pals had a great time at the cabin! We really enjoyed the hot tub, well stocked kitchen, and of course the fun decor that reminded us of grandma’s house. The place was just as clean as grandma’s too (if not even cleaner!). The walking trails out the doorstep and close proximity to Cooking Lake cross country ski trails made our winter getaway even more fun. Beds were super comfy! Lots of towels and linens available. We even saw a few faint northern light. Oh, and thanks for the bottle of bubbly!!

Absolutely breathtaking! I couldn’t have asked for a better weekend getaway for a mental mommy reset! Despite the snowfall we had, it was absolutely beautiful, quiet, relaxing & gorgeous! The house itself was SPOTLESS, clean, modern & minimal - not to mention Brandy and her family definitely go above and beyond, there’s was so many things that one may need if they forgot something! From toiletries to snacks! The fireplace was SO cozy & the hot tub - say less! Also did some snowshoeing by the lake behind their house - STUNNING!Thank you SO much for everything, from fast responses to checking in & making sure I was taken care of! Fantastic hosts!!! 1000% will be coming back again & maybe even bring my family along next time!! :)

Another great stay at the Acorn Cottage! This is our second stay here and it feels like home, we look forward to staying here again soon.
