Very beautiful Cabin. Things that I appreciated: 1) 2 out of 4 bedrooms were on the other side of the house. With kids to me that means a lot as it gives them a more quite place to sleep. 2) each room had a sound machine 3) in the kitchen there was a charger for all sorts of electronics 4) to go containers for you to take home leftovers 5) sand pit 6) clear lake to swim in 7) AMAZING FISHING! 8) close to troll hunting! 9) every single size possible for life jackets. 10) if you love coffee, you will very much like all sorts of appliances Preston has ready for you! Great amount of towels, sheets, extra blankets, pillows, 2 extra mattresses and a very well stocked up kitchen. I cant think of any negatives and I am an Airbnb snob!

My family and I spent a week at this special island. My husband, our five year old twins and our two year old, along with our au pair enjoyed this immensely. We have stayed in AirBnbs all over the world and this little oasis in Northern Minnesota is certainly one that will stay in our hearts. The house is filled with all kinds of amenities for your stay including spices, pots and pans, crock pots, pitchers, and baking supplies. We couldn't believe everything that was available and it made it so wonderful because you do truly need to bring everything with you and if you forget something it's a big deal to head out and get it. The home carries a lot of history with it and we enjoyed learning about it. Definitely bring bug spray but they weren't as bad we expected. We rented the pontoon and loved the whole experience. I have never been so relaxed. One of the highlights of the property is the sauna. Equipt with a stove from Finland, it definitely felt like a true Scandinavian activity!

Great place. owner was very responsive. Clean, very private, pictures don't do it justice. Had my family there and we were a party of 12 and we were all comfortable ..Home is very serene as it sits on the lake. Great resteraunts near by. Definitely recommend this place and will definitely be back!!

We felt right at home at Erich and Cari's beautiful lakeside home! The sunsets were incredible, the views were peaceful, and the home was cozy yet spacious. It had everything we needed and more, and I wish we had more time there! I would go back any time. Erich and Cari were highly communicative and left helpful instructions and recommendations. What a lovely place!

Extremely pleased with our stay at Cheryl’s. We loved sitting on the deck and watching the water, watching the kids play in the sand. Cheryl was very attentive to answering all my questions and also accommodating some special requests. Cheryl’s place had everything we needed and more for the kitchen, bathrooms and bedrooms. The water on Lake Melissa is very clear, and there are very few weeds in the lake. Fishing off the dock was plentiful too. All aspects of the stay with Cheryl was very smooth and I felt very taken care of with Cheryl.

This place was perfect for our mini getaway over MEA break. I imagine it's even better during the summer when it's warm enough to be on/in the water! We had plenty of space and everything we needed, especially for staying in to cook meals. The golf cart was a hit and it was really fun to take a few strolls throughout the small neighborhood. Had the weather cooperated for a campfire, that would have been super easy to do. Plus, it overlooked the lake. Aaron was really responsive to all of my questions. Would certainly stay again!

The place was just as pictured. Ryan was super helpful with questions. It is very conveniently located to area events and restaurants. We rented a jet ski and loved spending time on the water. We highly recommend this place! We hope to be back.

So quaint and cute and even though it is attached to her house, felt like our own with its own driveway and entrances. The fire pit space was awesome and she had it ready for us when we arrived. Firewood included was so appreciated! We camp a lot and often pay a lot for wood and sometimes have to find it!
