Unbelievable stay for couples to step away from every day routines into this beautiful paradise in the mountains of Roanoke truly a blessing to have the opportunity and what wonderful people to host their property, my Mexican wife actually was able to order Uber eats, lol even that was so delightful with everything arriving warm and ready. We both were pleased with this beautiful paradise. Host provided great accommodations such has fresh eggs, water, coffee, and really anything needed. We didn’t even have to leave this cabin.

Ive stayed at this wonderful home many times so I knew it was a treasure. However, the newest owner Gretchen really made this place even better. Clean, cozy, it has everything you need for a perfect moutain getaway. All the little touches and welcoming treats were greatly appreciated and enjoyed. Can't wait to return!

Couldn’t ask for better host, location was great nice secluded area with a lot of farm life roaming. Everything was as described and the host help me set up beautiful flowers and chocolates for when we arrived. 10 out of 10 would recommend.

My kids and I loved going between kayaking, enjoying the hot tub, and relaxing. Lovely spot!

Skywatch cabin was a fantastic getaway. It was clean and very well stocked from bathroom to kitchen. If you forgot something chances are it was at the cabin. Magnificent views of mountains and water. We were lucky enough to see a beautiful sky when the sun was going down and sun shining a beautiful orange on the mountain at sunrise. Will most definitely return. We stayed for two nights, and the cabin was beautifully decorated with a stunning property. The hot tub was a huge hit with the kids! One thing to note for future guests—the river is not as close as it may seem. It’s a pretty steep hike down to the dock and back up. While the view is absolutely gorgeous and the walk is worth it, not everyone may find it accessible. That said, the cabin itself was perfect—super comfy beds, plenty of cookware and utensils, and a cozy atmosphere. We had a fantastic time and would definitely stay again!

We enjoyed a wonderful long weekend stay at the cabin. The surroundings are beautiful and had we been in the area to enjoy ‘lake life’ this cabin would be a perfect fit. We were in the area to visit some museums in Roanoke and usually stay in hotels, but our dogs tend to bark and that bothers the other guests. As the cabin is dog friendly, we were able to crate them for a little while, while we enjoyed our day. Our host provided plenty of towels for our use, though we were surprised that there were no washcloths provided. When I mentioned this to our host, she said they’d take that recommendation for future guests. I’d also suggest that a box of tissues would be a nice addition (fortunately we had one in the car). But this is nitpicking, really. Bottom line - it’s a beautiful cabin and the surroundings are the same. Any lake loving boater would be right at home. And our host was friendly and communicative.

I had a great last minute getaway here and I agree with the other reviews, it’s so much better than the pictures give it credit for and was so comfortable with everything I needed. It is located adjacent to another property, it’s above the garage although only one or two steps if mobility is a concern for you, it’s very accessible. No one was using the other property so it was great to be alone. I had coffee on the front porch every morning as the deer came to say hi and listened to the beautiful soft (read very quiet) church bells in the distance on Sunday morning and watched as the sun rose over the trees. It was so peaceful and relaxing. Easy access to hikes with my dog we both enjoyed the yard. She would lie in the grass by the fire pit and we watched the sun set after a long day of hiking. I recommend bringing your food as I didn’t see too many restaurants, also I had cell service with both Verizon and T-Mobile. All in all a great place if you’re looking to escape!!

Absolutely incredible! I went alone just me and my two dogs and the view was incredible and they had an absolute blast! I've recommended to friends, who have already booked! 12/10 recommend and will be returning!

We had a nine day stay at this property. Really liked the location. It felt quiet and and calm, but it was still very close to everything that was needed. There's a grocery store, and many other essential businesses minutes away. It's also a short drive to downtown. We also saw deer crossing the stream every evening we sat outside. Regarding the property itself: - The property was as described - Kitchen utensils and cooking equipment were well stocked - A good supply of spices (and coffee pods) so we didn't need to buy a bunch of throw away stuff - All appliances worked well Regarding the Host: - Communication was quick and thorough. All questions (before and during stay) were answered - A lot of documentation was provided for the property and nearby activities. Overall, this was an enjoyable stay for us. - Due to the time of the year, there were days we needed the heater and days that we needed the AC. Both worked well.

This was our second time staying here. The cabin is beautiful and well maintained! They provided lots of firewood which was wonderful because we had a campfire every day! The kids loved the playground and the creek and want to come back over the summer for swimming in the lake! The linens and beds were great - we brought our own towels which was fine and they did have hand towels in the kitchen and bathrooms. There is nothing around which we loved - very peaceful and relaxing. The stairs going upstairs are steep and curvy so our little one (3) was nervous but the big boys (7 and 9) were fine with it. We plan on coming back!

Without a doubt one of the best AirBnb’s we’ve stayed at. We spent Thanksgiving at Kyle’s place and it was incredible. The kitchen had everything I needed. Thus home has been beautifully remodeled and has so many special touches. Communication was also answered within minutes. We look Forward to coming back again for weeks stay. Thank you!

We had an amazing time staying at Beatrice’s beautiful property! The cabin itself was exactly as described/shown in the photos with everything labeled clearly inside. Beatrice supplied everything you could possibly need for a relaxing getaway and even gave a basket of treats and wine for us! We felt right at home and loved the serenity of the property with the running stream nearby and the wonderful mountain view. The Enclave compound was the perfect place for our extended family to stay during the weekend of my daughter’s wedding at the Pavilion at Blackwater Junction. Plenty of room, great kitchens, comfortable beds. We really. enjoyed the game room in the lodge basement. We rented a pontoon boat and jet skis from a marina and docked them at the dock. Had a great time on the water. Be prepared to walk up and down a steep hill for lake access. A wonderful setting for our time together!

The perfect place for a quiet country getaway. Made a great base for our daily kayaking trips on the James river. Like many others, enjoyed morning coffee and reading sitting on the porch, watching & listening to the many sounds on nature.

We have been to many cabins through our years and my husband and I both agreed this was the winner over all others. The views and peaceful surroundings were exactly what was needed. This cabin has many special touches like a copper kitchen sink and copper range hood. Our host, Dennis was responsive and had a wonderful touch of greeting us with cupcakes, cookies and more. We will definitely come back. What a gem!!!

Beautiful cabin. The pictures don’t even do it justice. Very spacious and super clean. It was so peaceful to sit and enjoy the deck overlooking the lake. We weren’t there long enough and had a wedding to go to but we would have enjoyed the firepit and exploring the area as well. We wish we had stayed longer. We hope to return.
