The snowgum chalet was absolute serenity. A very peaceful and romantic get away for me and my partner. The only noise was from the ducks and birds which we loved. Very private and secluded. Pool was cold but the hot spa made up for it. Wendy was very accomodating and efficient in her responses. Thankyou for having us - beautiful weekend :)

Highly recommend for anyone looking for a peaceful and relaxing weekend away. We stayed as a group of 6, including our 3 year old son and there was truly something for everyone. We enjoyed looking out the window in the morning and exploring the property and surrounds looking for native wildlife. The house has truly everything you could need, and we loved having the kitchen there so we could eat our meals at home and enjoy the property for even longer. Kathryn was a wonderful host who was always only a message away, and the recommendations left at the property gave us some great ideas on how to spend our time in the area. We’ve already spoken about plans on when we can come back to visit, as our 3 year old asked if he could live there forever. Thank you for having us!

Wendy's place was amazing and Wendy was very contactable. We had a few questions prior to our arrival and Wendy was able to promptly reply to our messages. Check-in details were also provided very clearly and was very easy!

Anne and Maurie’s property was lovely. There was a good mix of farm and nature. It’s a great place for families with children young and old. We spent 4 nights with our adult sons and their partners just relaxing and swimming in the pool, watching the superb wrens, rabbits, cockatoos, cows and pigs. It was so relaxing and only about 15minutes from the nearest town, if you needed supplies. We would definitely go back if we were in the area again.

Wonderful spot. Sauna, spa, ice baths all a bonus. Bright is a magical alpine town.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at a charming cabin nestled in a picturesque setting, and I must say, it was a delightful experience. From the moment I arrived, I was captivated by the stunning surroundings. One of the highlights of my stay was the abundance of birdlife in the area. Each morning, I awoke to the melodious sounds of chirping birds, which served as a gentle alarm clock, welcoming the day with a symphony of nature. The cabin also featured a beautiful pool area that was perfect for relaxation. The pool was well-maintained, with crystal-clear water that sparkled in the sunlight. There were plenty of comfortable lounge chairs around the pool.

Really enjoyed our stay here! Such a beautiful location, the cabin was absolutely spotless and had everything we could have possibly needed. We loved seeing the cows every morning and feeding them. Steven was a fantastic host, checking in to make sure we had everything we needed. We were talking about coming back before we’d even left. Can’t recommend this place enough!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay; the Mine Manager's Cottage was charming, comfy and very peaceful. We had all we needed (incl. a well apponted kitchen), and our dog was secure in the (lockable) garden. Harrietville is a great base to explore the area, and we could easily walk to the river, local tracks, the hotel for a meal, the bakery (wonderful) from Kevin's place. We would not hesitate to stay again! Thxs Kevin for a top stay.

My husband and I absolutely loved our stay at Grey Wolf. We got off to a rocky start as we were not able to fit snow chains to our car but with the help of Melinda and Steve from 3741 Adventures we were able to get up the mountain safely. We didn’t end up seeing any snow but we had the most amazing and relaxing few days in Dinner Plain exploring and snuggling up in front of the fire. Melinda was an absolute delight to deal with and we can’t thank her enough for her outstanding hospitality and generosity. Our border collie was especially pleased with the dog treats Melinda left for him. We would 100% recommend coming and staying here and we’ll definitely be back. Thanks again Melinda, you were a star! ⭐️

Perfect place to stay, just off the beaten track, especially if travelling with pooch, between Sydney and Melbourne. Always comfortable.

Great place. Interior very clean, spacious bedrooms with tv. Even though the description says no essentials the place had everything you need. Location is good, about 10-15 min drive to Yarrawonga. We really enjoyed the stay, can’t fault the accommodation it was perfect. There is also tavern 2min walk, great atmosphere, life music but once you are back in your cabin you can’t even hear it so no issues with noise. I would note recommend ordering food, we waited 1hr for a pizza and it wasn’t even good.

Perfect stopover for us. Gorgeous, comfortable and clean cottages, and loved the visit from the house dog. Thank you for providing a dog friendly option close to the highway.

Had a lovely getaway at Camp Crustys. Loved the no-contact check in, super easy and peaceful being an introvert! It was great dogs could stay. Very close to town only a 5 minute drive.

A beautiful and relaxing stay. We enjoyed the visits from the ever so lovely dogs who live on the farm as well.

La Baracca was the most divine stay in the most delicious location. Quiet, private, and divine. Such a beautiful space. The perfect way to spend a weekend in the mountains! Complimentary muffins and everything you need including a full coffee machine which was use to its fullest. The bedding and bathroom, design and thoughtfulness throughout was done with great love. Loved sitting out in the garden, eating outdoors, reading in the cozy chair by the window and sipping cups of herbal tea. I will be back to stay for another solo retreat.

This was one of the most beautiful places we’ve stayed, the accommodation was perfect (looks even better in person)! It was a great way to spend Christmas as a couple, the plunge pool keeps you nice and cool in Summer and I’ve already recommended to friends. You can tell it’s a family run location, everyone we spoke to was lovely. We’ll hopefully be returning to experience a Winter break soon 🙂

Brilliant stay at Sambar Hills. Sally was great and we hit up the Chrismont Winery which was the best winery we’ve been to. Highly recommend, will be coming back.

The cabin had a comfortable bed and good linen and a good warm shower. The kitchen was equipped with dishes, cooking utensils and extras. Check in instructions were clear and easy to follow. The four cabins in the complex are located behind the main house, on a fairly quiet street that backs onto a creek and walking path. The cabin is a bit old but everything worked in it and provided a pleasant two-night stay for my husband and me.

Surprising. And so welcoming. We hoped to enjoy a quiet cottage and got that Great River Road cozy cottage experience PLUS a most friendly host, Wendy, and cute li’l liquorice too ☺️. Farm fresh eggs. Home made soaps. Conversation starter cards (fun to give a go while making dinner). Kicked back on the verandah listening to the chooks coo and cows moo as the sun set. Such a pleasant break after Melbourne’s flash-fun’n’frolick en route to Canberra and Sydney.

We had a great stay at Marty's beyond beautiful property. Marty is a generous host, very organised and it shows in his attention to the smallest details. The kitchen is well equipped, the bed is well above standard, and the sunrise the view is idyllic. We managed to see the very friendly goats and Alpacas and even some saw some wombats from the cabin. We also loved visiting the cheese factory in Milawa, Beechworth and some falls, about 45mins drive. This is a 10 out of five stars stay ✨

This is a luxurious home away from home. Scenic, peaceful and close to the weir for water activities. It exceeded expectations and would highly recommend this place for a rural retreat. Thankyou to Jane who is an excellent host.
