A perfect stay in a lovely spacious property. Good communication from Emma before our visit. Clear instructions for our arrival and check in which went very smoothly. From the moment we walked in we felt like we were in a real home from home, equipped with everything you could need and more for a short break or longer holiday. We really appreciated the festive decorations had been left up for us to as this was a xmas catch up trip to see one side of the family. It all just felt so cosy and cheery. Hopefully we'll have a chance to return and enjoy what looked to be a lovely garden area in warmer weather. (-6 and snow on the ground during our visit ). A great all round experience.

The Steading is an immaculate house to stay in. Exactly as described, and Lou gave us detailed directions on how to get there. The house is equipped with everything you could possibly need for a weekend away, including hot tub and cold plunge tub, as well as every kitchen utensil you could think of. There are plenty games to play with the family, even outdoor games that are free to use if the weather is on your side. Would absolutely stay again!

Been staying here for over a month due to work. It has been perfect for all my needs. The Annex is attached the hosts house but it is very private and peaceful.Will definitely stay here again.

Stayed for 3 nights with my dog. Holmhead exceeded my expectations and I felt instantly at home. The location is superb and perfect for exploring the Cairngorms or even just stepping outside the front door and being in the forest. The cottage is extremely well equipped for its size and I found a few things, for guests use, that I wasn't quite expecting, (hot water bottles :) ). The brand new electric heating is very effective and the log burner is 'ferocious', but definitely a must when temperatures were below freezing. Cat is a very gracious, accommodating and genial host. I would definitely stay here again and recommend thoroughly.

Very nicely renovated and look very luxurious and every single item and accessories inside the house are very attractive. However, we reached the unit at late night and quite poor lighting. We have hard time to find the house.

Brilliant place. Lots of space for the family and a great kitchen with pretty much everything you need. Only down side would be the 6 minute bumpy drive it takes to get from the main road to the property, but I guess that's what you get for being remote.

I immediately relaxed and felt at home in Vicky’a place. I thought it was really original , nothing like it. The position is beautiful and the conservatory/ porch area is a perfect lace to watch the view on an evening sitting with a cuppa tea. I loved the paths all around the cottage leading up to Bennachie. I felt like I was on a remote holiday, even though I was primarily there for work, and didn’t leave the cottage and area one of the days because it felt so peaceful and restful. The bed is super cosy and the open plan gave me space to move around and feel at home. Thank you for a lovely stay. Matilda and Brown dog.

Puffin Cottage was beautiful, exactly as advertised. A perfect place for a peaceful break with sea views. It was pristine and thankfully not cluttered with personal touches which to be honest puts me off. Trudy was lovely to be in touch with . Lovely base to explore the north east . Could not recommend the cottage more Thanks Trudy
